911 Computer Repair

Fast and efficient service! Note, though, that these guys mainly just do home fixes, which are darned expensive. I offered to bring the computer by, but was told that the techs were all out, and one would just call and then come to me. For driving ½ mile and finding a loose cable, about 5 minutes work, they charged $ 90. This is probably pretty average for the industry, and frankly, I never would have figured the problem out on my own… but it’s still kinda tough on a renting student.
Knowledgeable, fast, and the techs take credit cards… but expensive.
Update: The computer problem happened again several times in the days after this issue was ‘fixed’. It wasn’t a loose cable at all, rather a hibernation/​driver problem — apparently not uncommon with windows 7. Fixed the issue myself. Unfortunate.
