Two stories, exterior entrances, former Jameson Inn.
Desk clerk was friendly and efficient at check in. My king room included a very comfortable large chair w ottoman, HDTV, strong WIFI signal. Comfortable bed, nice room furnishings.
I find prices of several mid-​price hotel chains in Roanoke Rapids are all in my opinion a bit on the high side. Baymont was a few dollars less, with a property that was nicer than several on the same street off of I 95.
