I’m a Brandon Road resident and when this place popped up for the first time I was eager to try it. Pretty standard fare, hot dogs, hamburgers, barbeque sandwich, chicken sandwich and nuggets. My girlfriend is fond of the sausage dogs. The fries are mediocre, but you don’t want the fries, the chips which I assume are made in house, freshly deep fried and are just delicious. I once got an order of the largest one they have, and they weren’t kidding, could’ve easily been shared with a few people. The menu is still fluctuating a bit, I’ve seen a few things like meatloaf dinner specials come and go, which I only mention because I did particularly enjoy it. My girlfriend and I can eat in for around $ 15, so it is reasonably priced. Unfortunately I’ve not tried the breakfast yet, so I can’t comment on it. I also enjoy the fact that this place has a drive-thru, which seems so rare to find on a restaurant like this. I’ve only used it once though, I like to go in because the people are always nice.

Just went to AJ’s for the first time. This new restaurant has replaced a well known Roanoke hot dog stand but the quality is still here. Great dogs and great new chili. All the food was very hot and fresh AND they accept credit cards which is almost unheard of for Roanoke hot dog stands. Highly recommended.
