They have a super friendly staff! This is a mom and pop business that has great food! The place itself could use an update but the food is great. My husband LOVES their burgers and I always get an egg salad sandwich and potato soup. The BEST thing on their menu is the egg rolls. Weird but true. We always get 4 – 5 with whatever we order. Great food, great people!

Probably the best Southern-​style slaw dog north of the NC border. The chili is fantastic and the slaw is perfect. The rest of the menu is good, but so far I haven’t found any other standouts like the hot dogs. Despite the restaurant’s name don’t expect much in the way of ice cream. It’s basically different variations of vanilla soft serve. All in all, I give it 4 stars because of those fantastic slaw dogs!

I’ve been eating a lot of burgers lately and was just thinking about who has the best. I’d put Richee Freeze up against 5 Guys, In-​N-​Out, Conway’s Red Top, whoever. I like Richee Freeze’s burgers the best. Now my husband is saying we have to make a trip to Roanoke so he can see for himself!
