Buffalo Wild Wings

Waiting for a drink is understandable when you’re busy. IIf you are busy it would be nice to at least acknowledge your customers, and say I’ll be right there. Not the case at the bdubz at Valley View mall in Roanoke. My husband and I waited 5 mins before the older, short haired blonde walked over there like someone was bothering her. Does she not realize when working for tips being friendly helps?

Not what it should be.
This place gets two stars for beer and TV sets. If that’s all you want, you are safe. There is a better BWW near the Tanglewood Mall.
I have tried this Buffalo Wild Wings at the Valley View Mall three times in the last year and I get worse service every time. The restaurant does a lot of business so too. Maybe it is better just to stick to beer and not let the bad food or surly waitresses worry you?
I came with a co-​worker. We order two beers and a plate of nachos.
Somehow the nachos beat the beers to our table. The platter was dropped by a dashing server so we were left with food but no plates, set-​ups or the main course, beer. When the beer arrived we asked the waitress, who I will call «smiling– not!», for the missing plates, napkins and etc. we also pointed out that the nachos were only a platter of fried tortillas with lettuce on top. The cook it seems put the cheese on the plate before adding the nachos so the base layer of tortillas was glued to the platter in a cold nest. Years of living in Texas have raised my standards for what can be done with a tortilla. I asked Smiling-​not! If we «Can we have some cheese, salsa and sour cream? Isn’t there supposed to be chicken on this?» Was too much to ask it seems. Five minute later a random server plopped a plastic Togo container of sour cream and another of melted cheese. No chicken, salsa or help.
Smiling-​not! came back later with our check. I felt it was clear that our kind was not welcome here.
What could have been a nice evening was spoiled such that we quickly checked out to find a place with better food and service. That would be Jack Brown’s … Oh, yeah.

I’m a bartender from New Orleans. I came down here to visit and had an amazing time. Bobbie-​Jo was amazing! She was so sweet and super accomodatining. Definitely a spot worth visiting.

Just walked out. Went in with my family and my autistic son was holding a small bag. Inside the small bag was one cookie. (Not eating it, just holding the bag). We were coming in to eat and have dessert. Hostess said we were not allowed to enter their restaurant with outside food and drink. Lost a minimum of 100 tab over one .59 cookie bought because our son asked for a cookie to eat when we got home and wanted to hold the bag. Good grief.

The service is not good and their food is mediocre. I only came in to pick up a to-​go order but I saw enough. The waitresses standing around laughing while a man got up to refill his own drinks.

Average should pretty much sum it up. Servers and hostesses are nice. They could refill my water once in awhile more, but no biggie. The wings are not superb but I get medium sauce and spicy garlic traditional wings and it does the trick usually.

Horrible! We were seated, family of 5, in the dining room and waited and waited and waited. During our almost 10 minute wait, we notices 3 employees leaning on the carry out counter, two at the hottest stand, two hanging around the register and zero waiting on our table. Nobody came over to say they will be right with us or just a minute. It was about half full, so being packed was not an excuse.
When we left I let the hostess know why and she didn’t really care either. NEVER GOING BACK!!!

The short version: sub par food, terrible service.
We visited on a Wednesday night, not too busy, with a party of 4. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken immediately. That’s where things went down hill, drinks were extremely slow, and our food took almost 45 minutes to make it to the table, and it was Luke warm at best. The waitress only came back to check drinks once in that time period as well. Certainly not impressed.

Wings are always good and new seasonal ginger flavor is awesome! Brook and travis are top shelf great bartenders! Like the commercials they know sports and they know drinks!

Yet again, horrible service. We have been coming to Buffalo WildWings for over 15 years. After moving to Roanoke we tried this location. I have never had such horrible service. Simple orders come out wrong every time. The waiter/​waitress is always hard to find. We will not be returning to this location ever again.

Not a bad version of this popular chain…
It’s a small location, and the layout is somewhat cramped, but I suppose that Alia adds to the intimacy…
It also seemed a bit loud due to the small space and the shorter ceilings… but it was also NFL Sunday, which will make any sports bar noisy!

I took my girlfriend here during a long road trip. Terrible service, never received food.
Short story: After being ignored by ghost wait-​staff that disappeared from behind the bar for up to 15 minutes at a time, I managed to only receive a single soda after being at the place for 50 minutes.
Long story: Most of the tables were full, so we sat down at the bar. After about 10 minutes of being ignored we received a soda and a water. We placed our order — we each ordered boneless wings — and then the guy next to us placed an identical order for wings. Maybe 10 – 15 minutes later the guy next to us had his wings come out and they looked delicious. Another 10 minutes go by, and after waiting for the bartender to come back to the bar (where he was during this time, I do not know) I asked him where our order was. He complained about the kitchen staff and then disappeared. We waited for another 10 – 15 minutes, and no one is behind the bar. We look around and now only about half the tables in the place are full with people. No excuses, so we put down two dollars for the soda and walked out.

I have never been disappointed with this Bdubs location. The staff is always friendly and attentive and you can feel they are truly a team with how they interact with each other. The bartenders are knowledgable and recommend different beers based on your likes /​dislikes. There is also a great selection of beer on tap. There are always multiple games playing and if your game isn’t on one of the screens they happily put it on for you. I’m a big fan of wings and typical sports bar food and they don’t disappoint.

We have ordered takeout several times from here and this review is solely based on that. On more than one occasion our order has been incorrect and the staff seemed indifferent, at best, to the issue. I like the BWW product, but this location seems lacking in service. The food is OK, but the other BWW in Roanoke is usually seems to be prepared with more attention to detail.

Great place, good food, see Tim and Alex for great service! Loud perhaps, but its a sports bar. Get over it.

The two stars are simply because I love BDubs wings… If it wasn’t for those, this place attached to the Valley View Mall would get –2 stars. It took me over 10 minutes to even get offered a drink, and the bar was in NO way busy, maybe 5 people total there. Once my colleague arrived, it took over 25 min to take our order. We ordered nachos as an appetizer and it actually came AFTER our food. She claimed it was because they had to make the cheese. Ummm it was like nacho cheese out of a bag, I can’t imagine how it took them 45 minutes to make pre made nacho cheese.
Overall this place is ridiculous, thank God this isn’t my local BW3’s or I would be heartbroken!
