I don’t think most people know what to order at a Mexican restaurant. I think most people go for a ‘combo’ dinner or something. This Mexican restaurant has the best Tacos Al Pastor and the best Black Beans in town. Hands down. The Carnitas are also fabulous. The staff are very friendly and the service is great. I find these low reviews scandalous. :)

I’m visiting the area and asked my brother for cheap, quick, tasty, and if Mexican it’d be a bonus. He delivered with this place. Festively decorated in that kinda cheesy but oh so mexican restaurant way(bright colors with ornately carved chairs). The chips n salsa were plentiful and great. The service prompt and timely. For my main dish I ordered vegetarian #1(a bean burrito, a cheese enchilada, and a cheese n bean tostado). I left filling full but not stuffed, which is the best feeling after dinner.

One word, «Barf». Most all of these El this and that should be about the same but they are not. We tried the El Toreo on Franklin near K-mart and it was pretty bad. The place looks dingy and dirty, the parking lot was creepey, and the food was pathetic compared to other Mexican restaurants. Went because of a coupon. stupid Idea.

Your chips and salsa never run out and the service is pretty good. The food is similar to a lot of Mexican restaurants, but solid nonetheless. Early to close on weekends so if you’re looking for some late night Mexican, Taco Bell is your best bet.
