This place has quickly gone downhill. When it first opened, it had some fantastic burgers. The last few times I’ve eaten here have been unpleasant experiences to say the least. Honestly one of the biggest complaints I have about this place is their fries. I’m a huge fry person, and these are pretty bad. I ate them a few days ago, and once again, they were a soggy, slimy mess. The burger was pretty poor too; I specifically ordered it well done, as it I like my meat almost burnt, and it was practically raw. Had to tell him twice to fix it This place isn’t terrible, but it most certainly isn’t the greatest burger joint in Roanoke. They’re pretty much a poor man’s Five Guys, in my opinion.

The food was delicious but overpriced like other reviewers are saying. I’m was so happy to find a restaurant that served a vegetarian option! The Garden burger was the usual, exactly the same thing you can buy at the grocery in the frozen food section. The six onion rings that came with for an additional $ 1.25 were fantastic. My husband’s burger was very good, and the fries were seasoned and salted. The salad for $ 5.99 was pitiful. The ordering process is slow and cumbersome and we could have gotten our orders taken by waitress much quicker and efficiently. You have to write down your order on a pad which doesn’t have the prices on it. Then you go up front(if you’re lucky there’s no line) and a cashier reviews your order with you, line item by line item. Pretty frustrating since we already took the time to fill out our selections, I don’t need someone to tell me what I ordered and rewrite the pad. I imagine if this place had more than the few customers we saw when we were there, it would be out of business pretty soon, because of the frustrating wait time just to order. All in all, $ 28 for two dinners we thought was way overpriced. The onion rings may have been worth it, but I’m not sure we’ll be back.

Fries were probable the best part. The burger was a little over cooked and the bun was cold. Mediocre at best. Quality to price ratio is a bit skewed. I believe it to be way over priced. Staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. Overall rating, ok.

I was not impressed. The fries were unseasoned and over cooked as we’re the burgers. It’s possible to put a char on a burger without drying it out. The food was way over priced. I sent my hot dog back because the put the wrong condiments on it and they gave me the SAME hot dog with additional toppings instead of the right ones. My 18 month had the chicken tenders and they were so dry he choked nearly every bite. There’s no way I would recommend this over priced and under quality food to anyone.

The advertisements for Fosters beer states that«Fosters is Australian for beer». The fact is that No one drinks Fosters, it taste like rubbish! The same can be said about this restaurant, Foster’s Grille. They advertise chargrilled burgers, but beware the chargrilled taste comes from some sort of chemical process and not from charcoal coming in contact with the burger. Don’t bother with this place, it will disappoint!

Been here twice and the staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food has always been just as I ordered and delicious. Definitely a place I will return to over and over again.

The philly cheese steak was ok, I guess. It was kind of bland but some salt and pepper brought it up to about what I’d expect from one of those frozen cheese steak kits you see in the grocery store sometimes. Not worth the money, but edible. My wife had a burger that was pretty much the same, and nowhere near as good as the one she got at Famous Anthony’s the other night. That’s saying something right there. But the fries were just god-awful! Maybe some people like their fries mushy and full of grease(after all, some people like Wendy’s fries; there’s just no accounting for taste) but I don’t. I ate one, and that was all I could take. Absolutely horrendous. I would comment about how the«no wait staff» thing is a bad idea, but should at least mean lower prices, but let’s face it; the food is bad no matter what the price.

Overpriced for stale bread. Good burger on stale bread, Philly cheesesteak could use more meat, fries are great, service not so great.

Awesome fries! Awesome bacon cheeseburgers! The only thing stopping this place from getting 5 stars is the overall food quality does not meet the price! The bun was so stale, I had to pick off most of it. The employees seemed to enjoy their jobs. Would have been nice if the manager engaged in conversation with more than the cook. Overall, nice place for something different, but… not again for awhile.

I’m only back because I have a coupon for a ¼char grilled burger, fries and a drink for $ 4.99. It will be rare that I come here, I still think it’s over priced for what you get.

I’ve given three(3) tries now, same issues: 1) Awkward ordering(why not leave pads on podium at entry so we don’t have to search) 2) Not very good(or much) food for price. 3) No ice in pop machine. 4) No straws in dispenser You’ve been warned

unfortunately, Towers didn’t get the great burger place it could definitely support; overpriced food, what tastes and looks like frozen burgers but on a grill, onions thrown on the SIDE and a nice pink tomato in August! What a shame. Seems like staff didn’t care any more than I do now.

It is a pretty darn tasty burger. I do have a couple of quibbles though. The baskets are too small to hold the food. The result is a pretty small order of fries. The buns are kinda small and tended to fall apart. This was a problem since there are no utensils available. Plastic or otherwise. I agree with the other comments. Horribly overpriced. $ 10 for burger, small fries, and drink. Not even close to par with places like 5 Guys.

Terribly over– priced. It cost me over $ 10 for a veggie burger and half order of fries with a little container of cheese sauce. This is a lot of money for a fast food type of restaurant. Yes, it is nicer than Burger King but you still place your order at the counter and fill your own drinks and get your own cutlery. Something odd: I ordered cheddar cheese on my cheese fries but apparently they can’t do that so they put a slice of cheddar on the side. I’m not sure why I wasn’t told when I ordered that they couldn’t make them with cheddar as I wouldn’t have ordered cheese fries at all. They probably charged for the random piece of cheese as well as the cheese sauce, maybe this is why it was so expensive? Another negative is that the manager seemed to scold the girl at the register — never a good thing to do in front of a customer.

It took a long time to get our food and I was disappointed with the burger, especially considering the prices. I expected the beef to have more flavor and the fries were lukewarm at best. I’ll stick with other restaurants in Roanoke for a better burger experience.

Went here for lunch. After waiting in line for a few minutes I was greeted by the cashier with, «just because I do t have a life don’t mean I want to be here!» I ordered a burger with fries and a lemonade. The burger was good but I could have saved $ 2 and got a burger of equal quality at Hardee’s. The lemonade was supposed to be fresh squeezed but I couldn’t drink it. It was prepared with a lemon sliced in half and then squeezed. The two have were then dropped in the cup together. I watched the young man prepare the drink and he never even washed his hands and then dropped the lemons in the drink. When I complained, the cashier just shrugged. The fries looked great but tasted freezer burnt.

Ordering was different, but I liked that you could circle what you wanted. It made it easy. However, they still forgot the condiments that I circled. Staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. However, very small baskets for the price. Wasn’t too happy that it was such a small meal for almost $ 26 just for my husband and myself. Burgers were delicious though. Tasted just like it would if you made it on the grill yourself. All In all, good first time experience. The outside dining was great as well.

Ordering is confusing and a little irritating. Plus tipping is odd because all they do is bring you a basket. You even fill out your own check for the kitchen and get your own drink. With that said my burger and fries were AWESOME!!! But eating out of a tiny tiny basket was awkward. Only 3 other tables in restaurant with one already served and my food took FOREVER!!! And I had to beg for a beer. Ok I’m editing my review cause the wings AREFREAKINGINCREDIBLE!!! And you can order 1 to 1009! They are fantastic!
