IHOP

I am not sure where all the negative review came from. My husband and I stopped by this morning. Our waiter was attentive and the food came out fast and hot. Had a great experience and would come again

Hi. I’m very shocked to see that overall this got so few stars. I’d give 6 if I could. I’ve always had good service there. My most recent visit me and my girlfriend came in on a slow Sunday night and were nicely greeted and seated. Our order was taken and served quickly and out waitress was so nice to us. I think her name was Christina. Pretty sure but not 100%. Anyways she engaged in conversation with us, asked where in the area we came from Etc. made us feel right at home. The food is good too. I got their chicken and waffles. It was hot and fresh. I will surely eat there again.

ROACHES! They live in the kitchen at IHOP. All of the IHOP’s. My son worked there and was so grossed out he had to quit. We ate there one day and I found what appeared to be a roach egg. I was told it was not. I told my son who said they have nothing that they cook with that resembles a roach egg. I sent it back after taking a bit of the omelet. I got the same omelet back! They just put it on a clean plate and gave it to me for free. Free roach is still bad roach!
My son said his boss was aware of the roaches but didnt want to spent money on pest control because it would put a dent in the amount of the bosses bonus’ s. My son went to get gloves for food prep one day and the box was full of roach eggs and baby roaches. When mgt refused to fix the problem he quit that same day. He refused to keep serving that nastiness to the public. What if someone got sick?
They dont date there food either. So when u eat eggs or even meat… no telling how long its been there since they aren’t very good at rotating stock either! Gross. That means stuff sits there getting old and one day you eat it after all the new stuff is gone. (Usually during a special like all u can eat pan cakes, veterans day, mothers day, easter… I think you get the drift.
So my advice is. Dont eat here. Its as bad as staying at a hotel with bed bugs! Run, run to The Pancake House or The Roanoker.

Just showed up with some food. But, they aren’t sure what table it’s for. Now, we are just taking any plate they bring out because we are so hungry. The apology manager is walking around apologizing and asking what we ordered. But, she can’t remember what we told her. So, she comes back every five or ten minutes to ask us again.
So now they are coming around with the checks. Two of our party didn’t get any food. BUT, the waitress offered to take 50% off that meal. Classic. 50% off of the food that wasn’t delivered. We all did receive 50% discounts. But, I would have rather paid full price in lieu of eating food that I didn’t order over a two hour span.
That was last week. Just finishing my review now.
I have no idea how this location stays in business. They might want to start drug testing.

Negative Star!!! Do NOT go to Valley View IHOP! We just left after sitting for 20 mins and no one acknowledging us (no drink order or even saying someone will be right with you). Not to mention the booth beside the window we were sitting in that was COVERED with flies!!! And the restaurant was practically empty… not surprising!

Probably the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. We waited 10 mins for a glass of water. Waited 45 minutes for our food because «the kitchen was backed up». (There was only 4 tables). We got our toast literally at the end of our meal. The tenured staff apologized and said our waitress was new and proceeded to tell us how horrible she was but quickly stopped and decided to help her when we told them they should help her instead of bashing her. Every time I think I will give this particular location a try, I get failed. We complained to corporate and was told we would have a response in 5 business days, glad I didn’t hold my breath! Please spend your money anywhere but here.

Not sure what was going on the morning we were there, but there was a serious problem. We were on our way out of town and I got to jonesing for some French toast. We were seated and our order taken. 40 minutes later and after about a half dozen apologies from the server, half of the food arrives. We had to ask for silverware which never came (my GF got up and found some) and we finally got the rest of our food, which of course by this time was cold. Appetites ruined, we picked over our meals and being eager to hit the road, headed to the cashier. I asked to speak with the manager and a frazzled looking lady introduces herself, on the verge of tears. I explained the situation and she promptly comped the meals. After a quick trip to the restroom, I came back out front to find her losing it behind the cashier station. Feeling awful for the unfortunate situation in which she found herself, I offered some words of encouragement and a hug, hoping to help her muster enough strength to get through the day. I hope it worked.
It seems from the other reviews that this location has systemic problems and is dooming its employees to failure, which is a shame because everyone seemed to care.

Waited to be seated for quite awhile even though we were first in line.
Then waited for 15 minutes at least for a waitress to come to the table, they never did. And the manager even walked by and said/​did nothing. The restaurant was fairly empty. At that point we gave up and left.
Probably good food if they notice that you are there.

The most terrible device on earth. If it weren’t conveniently close to the house if never order to-​go. We’ve eaten here done in a few times and its VERRY hit and miss.
When we order to-​go via phone we get different answers all the time as to what is allowed and what is t allowed to e ordered take out.
As I write this from my phone I have yet to be helped… Why do I put myself through this? Because the pancakes are awesome!!!

I cannot judge the food because we sit for more than 15 minutes and our order was not taken. At that point we left.

This location is listed as 24 hours, however when we got there, the manager said «let me seat you quickly because we close in 20 minutes»! (Saturday night, 1:00am, at least a third of the tables filled). Two couples came in after us and she refused to seat them. One couple left and one ordered take out. The manager then went into the kitchen and loudly told the staff (the dining room could hear) to hurry up because they closed in 20 minutes. The staff was discussing in the dining room how they hoped to be out of there by 1:30. The customers were all looking at one another very uncomfortably. Completely unprofessional to say the least!
