I’ve tried tried Leonore a few more times since my last review. They have converted me. I’ve now tried the pizza and a few menu items that I normally wouldn’t order(like the wings) that were very good. The service is exceptional. Leonore has become a regular stop in downtown Roanoke. They have a pretty good happy hour deal too.

Amazing! Came from NC and this restaurant was recommended! It was superb! The service was friendly, the food was fresh and awesome, and our kids ate free with us purchasing our meal! If we ever go back to Roanoke we will return!

I give them 5 stars based on the competition in the area(this part of VA seriously lacks quality restaurants) If you are used to NY San Fran or D. C it’s prob more like 3.5 maybe 4 stars. Service was excellent, clean environment, and very tasty Fresh food! Love how the pizza crust is thin but doesn’tt get soggy and is oh so yummy. I absolutely loved my Philly style Arepa!!! Reminded me a lot of machaca beef for those who know authentic Mex food, and the corn masa bread for the arepa is delightful! I can’t wait to try other dishes! Very reasonable prices and great kids menu. Desserts are only $ 4 well worth it !

Awesome service, but the food was just alright. The prices and the service is what gave this review 4 stars garlic knots and bruschetta were really good. The pork and chicken salad was good but kinda bland. I wasn’t a big fan of the tuna melt, but others liked it. Wife liked the chicken parmesan, and the kids enjoyed the pizza

It was a markedly chilled evening. Sharp, black winds cut through darkened alleys, sending the patrons of my forgotten city into the far reaches of their meager brick domains. Children’s laughter was an antiquity of the night. Ignoring the barrenness, my muted footsteps carried me deeper into the deafening bleakness. My thoughts evaded me, for the hunger within my stomach consumed each whisper within my mind. Nourishment was a falsehood. Outside of my omnipresent hunger pangs, the silence was all that could be heard. Blackness had never been so black. Heartbroken, lost, aimless: the mantra of this heaven-less domain. A light… A light in the distance… Hope in this wasteland was a misnomer, but this light remained. As I inched closer to the light’s source, my spirit dragging behind me, a sense of oneness swept over me. Perhaps this was the end. The finality which has been awaiting me since my birth into these scorched lands. I welcomed it. Closure to this wordless story of perpetual disenchantment. The light grew in intensity as I neared the beacon. I felt warmth. The first warmth I’d felt in a time. I prepared to close this chapter of life. I reached the threshold. Light washed over me. Bathed my spirit as I awaited to transpire into the next realm of the unknown. I exhaled. And again. After several moments, I opened my teary eyes and found that my world remained. And that I was still present. Mind. Body. And all the in between. No. This wasn’t the end. This was something else. Something different. I swallowed my hesitations and ventured into the light. As my eyes slowly adjusted to the blinding whiteness, two words appeared transfixed above my lowly shell. «Leonore Restaurant.» This was indeed something different. I stumbled into the light broken. But felt the power of this place immediately. I slid my tired legs into a booth and to my bewilderment, the most angelic of creatures greeted my presence and passed me a listing of items. She spoke in a tongue too delicate for my worn ears to translate, but every bit of sound this siren sweetly offered ran straight through my soul. I yearned for her to remain. This was indeed something different. This angel of the light left me, only to return with more food than any man had ever seen. Words evaded me. I found breathing a task. I had nothing to offer but bewilderment. The siren smiled as if to acknowledge my speechlessness. And then nodded. I would go into details of what transpired here, but I would be lying. Details do not remain. Bliss akin to that which I experienced within that hour of time has the ability to distort the memories of man. I have no memory. Only warmth. And satiation. I believe items by the name of ‘pizza’ and ‘garlic knots’ were included, but I will never be certain. For in those moments, when soul met body, life transitioned into something greater. Something more profound. This wasn’t just a source of light or substance or nutrition or food. This was something much more grand. Something much greater. This was«Leonore Restaurant.» And this was the beginning of the rest of my life.

Leonore is a hidden gem! Overall, considering price, quality, service, and atmosphere, this is top notch. Food is always fresh. Cheap lunches. Great service with a staff that knows the menu. Very comfortable environment at all times. Garlic knots!!!

Pretty good family restaurant. Menu items have changed a few times since they opened but they are consistently good. Good drink selections though I do miss the pricing on beer from when they first opened.
