I frequently visit this Panera(3−4x a week). About 75% of the time its great! Line is a little long for the drive thru, which I don’t mind at all. Food is delicious very satisfied, its the customer service is just spastic! Like I said 75% they are so sweet and accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately there will be at least one day out of the 3 that they mess my order up completely, forget half, or give me some ‘tude. I mean i will still go in there and get my steel cut blueberry oatmeal every week but, It’d be nice to get some customer service without the teenage attitude. But hey its pretty damn good oatmeal…

It’s a panera! Relatively quick and relatively healthy. The drive thru at this one is wonky and I hate the parking lot, but the service is great.

I enjoy the food, but don’t go through the drive thru… not once has my order been given to me correctly

Solid Panera — never had any problems with the staff or the food I’ve received here. The location is great, but the parking lot itself is quite annoying. Getting in and out of it can be irritating, but I think that’s more Tanglewood Mall’s fault than Panera. This Panera in particular has two qualities that make it potentially better than other Paneras. The first is that there’s a Drive-Thru! This is great when you need something quick before work or class, or if you need to bring in bagels for the office. The second is that there is an outdoor patio area which is extremely pleasant to eat on during the warmer months. You can definitely find me out there often in the spring and summer!

Only occasionally eat at this Panera, it smells bad and the rest rooms look like they belong in a bar. The last time was so bad I contacted completed the survey and never received a response. The staff looks exhausted and beaten down.

I frequently visit this Panera location. They recently remodeled the interior and added a drive thru. If you’re planning on going through the drive thru you might as well go inside because it’s incredibly slow. I’ve been to others that do not take nearly as long. It’s busy at almost all times of the day since it is the only location on that side of town but they move as fast as they can.

I went to this particular location for the first time today and had a terrible experience. There were at least 10 computers available to take orders, but for whatever reason the cashiers were using 3 in a tight cluster, and literally screamed their questions at us when we got up to the counter. It was impossible to hear anything they were saying over their own yelling and the yelling of the customers around us. They also, as usual, badgered us about using a Panera card. I just want lunch, I don’t want a card. I will never want a card. I know, it’s kind of a weird thing to complain about, but it was really unpleasant and stressful! Their manager stood right behind them and didn’t seem to have a problem with this bizarre customer service. What was this supposed to be, some sort of New York Delicatessen where the service is terrible but the food is amazing? The food’s not good enough for that.

It’s pretty sad when the best places to eat in an area are chain restaurants! I eat here all the time and with the new drive thru its that much more convenient. The staff are always extremely pleasant and the food is great. I’m obsessed with the broccoli cheddar soup!

This is a good Panera with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. There are not a lot of vegeterian choices but they will gladly take off the meat from a dish if you request(but you still pay for the meat price). They are quick and always friendly. There is lots of seating if you are solo and need food and a seat for your wifi.

Four stars for a Panera? Dios mio, I never thought this day would come. Old-timers might remember this spot as the old Mac & Maggie’s. I think of it as the establishment that livened up the otherwise unremarkable intersection of Electric and Ogden Roads. Like the resplendent neon star perched atop nearby Mill Mountain, Panera is a beacon of warmth and good cheer for the hordes of southwest Roanoke enthusiasts invariably congregated inside. As the grown child of some awfully finicky Roanokers, pickings are pretty slim for casual family gathering venues. But Panera always seems to fit the bill. Cheesy indoor fireplace? Check. Curiously soothing Miles Davis CD on continuous repeat? Of course. Chivalrous lads who will hold the door open while we’re breaking my grandma out of the nursing home for an afternoon coffee excursion? Yep. Enough calorically-laden baked goods to induce a temporary feeling of familial bliss? You know it. Unwavering tolerance and good will towards a father who routinely orders coffee and fills his entire to go cup with half-and-half? I’m swooning. Electric Road Panera, you represent everything potentially good and beautiful about a suburban chain bakery. And for this, I thank you.
