I’ve been down at this brewery every Wednesday for four or five weeks since it’s the only brewery in Roanoke open on Wednesday… Seriously Roanoke! I’ll start with the pros which would be the facility itself. It’s spacious and lined down the front with garage doors which I imagine is awesome in good weather. The bartenders are pretty cool and aren’t afraid to converse w the bar loner… They always seem to have a food truck which is a plus! Soooo now the cons. When you walk in your smacked in the face w the smell of a dog kennel. I don’t mind dogs in breweries but it kinda smells like they started a brewery in a vets office. Keep in mind I’ve only been on Wednesdays which is cornhole night… And this is not a couple dudes tossing their sacs, it’s like a professional cornhole league! It took a couple visits to not be shell shocked by the constant bean bag slapping on boards as they are setup everywhere! It’s almost quite amusing to see these guys taking this so seriously, they even have jerseys and they cut off a Duke/Carolina game to post their tournament bracket on the only screen… The craziest thing is most of them don’t even drink! Oh yes and I believe the first Wednesday of the month is some sort of science night where I heard a revoting lecture about hypothesis on how mountain lake was formed… I prolly butchered that but then again its somethings I picked up at a bar right? Now let’s talk about what should be the focus… BEER right? I’m an IPA guy and if your looking for a hoppy beer then I don’t know what to tell ya??? I also enjoy porters n stouts and occasionally I venture out and try random stuff but I’ve tried about everything they have to offer and I’m not impressed at all! If I could request one thing from the head Brewer it would be a hoppy beer! Make it outrageously hoppy!!! All n all I’ll be back most Wednesday’s but I hope they focus more on the beers and not gimmicks to get non beer drinkers into their brewery. If you brew good beer, they will come!

Decent beers. I found the Kolsch disappointing, but the IPA was great. They have games(like cornhole) so you can bring your kids and they can be entertained while you sample some of the food. They had a flat screen TV with football on, and a food truck outside, so that was cool. We were visiting from out of town and overall is was a solid microbrewery experience.

Real nice place for a mid to late afternoon beer. Ample seating, corn hole, food trucks, and live music all add depth to the experience. The beer was excellent both in quality and variety. Doesn’t hurt that the brewery is pet friendly as well. Will be back next time through roanoke.

Really solid beer and a good spot with live music. I’m normally not a pumpkin beer fan but they do a great job without tasting too much like a liquid pumpkin pie.

My husband and I returned to Soaring Ridge on Friday after work. I am happy to report that on this visit the place was not over run with free range children. There was a very laid back duo playing and we very much enjoyed our time. I look forward to spending many Friday nights at Soaring Ridge.

We tried all of their beers; they were all good, true to style but I would have liked something a bit more off the wall. The black IPA and ESB were my favorites. Location is nice and inside is quite cool with big garage doors that open and let in a nice breeze. Food truck was good. Service was pretty despite people wanting to hang at the bar to chat, taking serving/ordering space. Fun place, I’ll be back.

We planned a high school reunion here for about 80 people. I can’t emphasize enough how helpful Bre and the crew were to making this event go off without a hitch. She helped us by making sure the brewery could accommodate the size of our party, she booked us live music for the night, and she even made sure there was a food truck parked there for us for the evening. The bartenders were great and worked super fast; even with our large crowd and the rest of the public there, I feel like no one ever had to wait to be served. On top of all that, the beer there was excellent. Can’t recommend this place enough! Thanks for having us, Soaring Ridge!

I thought I wrote a review whilst I was sitting on the stool sampling a flight of beer here but I“m mistaken. I came to Roanoke to hike and camp for a few days; which i highly recommend. the second to last day there I rolled an ankle doing some trail running and decided the best thing to do was go sit on a bar stool and drink a bit. So I tried the flight plus a few pints, and every beer at the brewery has an original and distinct taste. The pumpkin stout is by far the best I’ve had around mt US and foreign travels(not that many other countries have Holiday Beer). My ankle an head felt much better after enjoying the location. Cool open air concept with roll up doors, ample parking for the location, easy to get to, and live music. I don’t want to leave out the almost perfect BBQ vendor they had come set up. Cheers Fellas!

The venue for this brewery is great! Laid back, big, kid-friendly and just enough air to move through on a humid August night. Had a really fun night with friends, listening to some good music(The Yes Movement) and sampling the beer. The Berry White(featured) was good but the White Top and Tinkercreek were perfect for the food(from the truck outside) and the weather(hot.) We’ll be back!

Great atmosphere and delicious beer, this place is awesome! Service is always prompt, friendly and informative – all smiles. Only the best food trucks in Roanoke and close to downtown, it really doesn’t get better than this!

Outstanding selection of craft beers! The brewmaster has really put time and effort in this place! It is a very casual location and unlike anywhere else around here. They are very proud of the beer and again provide a great selection. Whitetop or tinkercreek for lighter or virginia creeper for alittle more! There is also some very tasty flavored dark porters as well. I have visited here a couple times and will be checking in whenever given the chance!!!
