I saw a review for this place and felt I had to add that my best friend’s husband works for them and it’s supposed to be a really great company to work for too. They get great Christmas bonuses, a regular schedule(for an ex union electrician with a family to support, that’s an ideal situation), a competitive salary and unbeatable benefits. They even promise to pay toward his kid’s tuition when they go to college. They’ve made him a company man!

Rob C. was not wrong about this place. From an inventory perspective, they have literally everything you could ever want to build almost anything. I needed a 6″ fully threaded 10 – 24 machine screw, and it turns out…*they don’t exist*. However, the folks at McMaster were able to listen to what I needed it for, and suggest an alternate product which would work just as well. Guy called me literally 10 minutes after my initial inquiry, to help me figure out what I needed. He was super friendly. They have decent prices. Tons of stock. What more can you ask for? These guys rock my machine screws right off.

Pretty much the greatest thing since sliced bread, if you build stuff, out of, well, stuff. Because they have lots of, uh, stuff. And they’ll have it in your hands tomorrow. And granted, i say this from the perspective of someone whose company takes care of the invoices(which can be considerable, of course; they are not cheap). In the past year, i’ve bought heating elements, steel duct, gears, pulleys, syringes, sheets of rubber, sound-absorbing foam, springs, motors, chunks of metal, and my favorite, a giant freaking steel ball. which is now being used on the foosball table at work, woe unto those little plastic men. maybe it begs the question, just what do i do for a living? well, let’s just say that it’s made immensely easier by these guys in new jersey.
