Maxmanni Salon and Spa

After a year of tormenting my hair (bleached blonde, red, brunette) I decided to go back to my natural color. The last time my hair was colored I had an allergic reaction, so I was nervous to color again. I saw Torrence and she gave me a head full of foils. She was very careful to keep the color off of my scalp. My hair looks and feels fantastic the color is perfect and has lasted without fading. She also have me a great cut. I am so happy to have found this place!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, staff was very cordial and friendly. Would highly recommend

I’ve been going to Maxmanni for at least 3 years. I’m amazed at how nice the girls are on the phone when scheduling let alone the front desk staff. Lilly has been my stylist for as long as I’ve been going here and if she is on vacation I wouldn’t hesitate to have one of the other girls step in. I’ve seen the styles they have generated from this salon and by far this is the best I’ve seen in the Pittsburgh area.
Kudos to Maxmanni for running such a FRIENDLY, TALENTED staff… not to mention I love the glass of wine they offer while I’m getting my hair done;)

Unlike other reviewers I thought the front desk staff as well as the tech’s were very friendly.
The atomsphere is definatley not a «spa» it’s more like a run down beauty salon and very crowded, certainly not a relaxing spa feel. I was surprised because it looks like a realitively new building, but the feel is old and dingy inside.
The service was poor to say the least. I had a manicure and pedicure, probably the worst I ever had. The nail person used a scrub on my hands, in which she made me follow her to the bathroom, put the scrub in my hands and had me wash my hands with the scrub in the bathroom sink!!! I got the «spa» mani/​pedi which comes with a parafin treament. The tech kept stating over and over and over that this is a service only used for people with really dry skin. When she was putting my hands into the gloves, I kept telling her my finger were poking through the inside glove containing the wax, in which she kept replying it was going to melt??? I don’t think the gloves are supposed to melt.
The nail polish was so globbed on that I had my manicure started at 4:00pm and woke up the next day with bed marks on my nails. I had to remove the polish as it just looked terrible.
The pedicure was bascially just as bad. I was hoping for that great winter pedicure to remove all the dry skin… didin’t happen.
The facial and the massage were good.
Unlike the other reviewers… I didn’t use Groupon, I paid full price!
They really shouldn’t refer to themselves as a spa, they should refer to themselves as a hair/​nail salon that has facial and massage treatments.

Drawn in by a groupon, but I have to say I am impressed! A great place that’s not overly stuffy like some salon/​spas you go into.
The girl who answered the phone when I called for an appointment was very friendly and so were the people behind the counter when I arrived.
Lilliana did a great job with my manicure and was very easy to talk with! Chase gave me a fabulous massage and was also very funny and kind. I will certainly go back!

The front desk staff is HORRIBLE! They completely ruined the experience. Was told all 3 people would be seated for pedicures at 9, an hour and half later the 3^rd person finally sat down to just start. They helped several people check out before me, even though I was the first one in line.
The actual nail techs and service was wonderful. But i would NOT go back because dealing with the staff is horrid.
it took 3.5 hours to get 3 pedicures and a manicure!

Maxmanni Salon Couture DID NOT honor my Groupon. After trying to schedule for three weeks, I finally got an appointment. When I arrived, my appointment was CANCELLED. Did they call to let me know… NO! Thank Goodness I was able to Return the Groupon. Oh well, what can you do? :)
