I have stayed you many times its earn decent bed comfy clean tv but remote controllers could use some better handling and their is never hit water the floors 4^th up to 5^th aren’t the greats but for 89.99 $ a night 102.00−108.00 a night on Expedia. Come or trip advisor. Com it’s actually pretty good the breakfast eggs are horrible taste like some cheap
Crap isn’t even worth eating the bacon is paper thin the bangles are good and muffins etc are good the coffee is decent no bed bugs which is good so far the desks in room and tubs are worn to all hell and the boom burger connected to building is the worst however the check out time is 12 noon and if u over over sleep a little it’s not so bad I come here quite a lot and enjoy it very much also there pool is no longer in use wish it was

Beware, these clowns hit you for the hidden «Safe fee» on your bill. Make sure you have them take that ripoff off. Otherwise it’s a decent hotel, good location. Clean enough

Horrible customer service! I made a reservation for my friend because it is close to my home but I don’t want to recommend at all.

Haven’t been here in years and years. Needed a place in Bergen County that was under $ 100. Yes, it’s old and could use some improving. But, it was clean, quiet and comfortable and fit our budget. The free breakfast was fresh and tasty. The room was clean. I have nothing to complain about! Will definitely come back again nexttime!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Bathroom overflowed the first 15 minutes I was there. The bathroom looked like a pool. Then it starting soaking the rug right outside the bathroom in front of the door. I called the front desk and they brought a guy to clean up the pee and toilet water with a vacuum but once he left the carpet was still soaked and so was the bathroom floor. All they did was give us extra towels to clean it up. I asked for another room but they stated they did not have anything else available. They did not offer to refund my room or anything at all to make the guest happy. The floor was soaked. I put two towels over it and the towels literally turned yellow. It was just disgusting. On top of the bathroom, our bed sheets had cigarette burn holes, the back clip of the remote was missing, there was a huge indent in the floor that my boyfriend practically twisted his ankle in. For $ 170 dollars, I would expect the service to be good, but I was mistaken. The only thing good about this hotel is the location and wifi. Other than that GO ELSE WHERE!!!

This place really sucks. I am originally from this area, so thought this place would be really good. My aunt and I were in town for a week. Stayed elsewhere for 3 days and here for 4. I stayed on the first floor next to the linen laundry room. Not only was it extremely hot, it smelled like cat pee and ethnic cooking. Supposedly the staff lives on the 1^st floor on the other side, so I assume it’s them cooking on hot plates. The clientel here is also to be desired. Seemed like this was a homeless hotel. Pretty sure I saw some drug deals going on also. And the laundry room situation sucks. Yes at least they have one since the last hotel didnt have kne, but if you are going to have a laundry room please supply more than 1 washer and 1 dryer for all 3 floors. This was a chore trying to get my wash done. The front desk also didnt have change. I din’t care if this place is free or I am getting paid to stay here. Never will I return

I would rather hit myself in the hand with a tack hammer than stay here again. If you can afford somewhere else then do it. The service is shitty to begin with, I had to call down to the front desk multiple times to get extra towels. The staff is less than accommodating all around

Horrible place. Found bed bugs in the bed in the morning. Argued to get the room free, but they denied and only gave us 20% off. unbelievable! Never will I stay at this hotel!

bottom line… stay away… go elsewhere… it starts with the horrible (and i mean horrible) stench in the main lobby… and goes down hill from there !!!

Pros: close to highway, cheaper than other hotels nearby (by about $ 30 – 40).
Cons: I just checked in about 20min ago. Since then, I have witnessed the following…
1) extremely rude front desk staff — my husband made the reservation under his name, but dropped me off and went to park the car. They wouldn’t let me start check in with out his ID. Okay, fine, I get that, but the front desk guy glared at me in silence like I was doing something illegal or immoral for fully 10 minutes until my husband finally walked in.
2) the reason my husband took so long to arrive? They had coned off a large section of the parking lot without any signage explaining why. When he asked, they treated him like a fool and said, «it’s to save spots for guests. You’re supposed to move the cones.» (Note: as we were walking away from check in, another man came up and tried to ask the front desk about the parking, too. He also was treated like an idiot.)
3) the woman that checked in right before us had to return to the desk three times because her keycard was not opening her door. She too was treated like an idiot.
4) during my long wait at check in, someone called down to request the wifi password. This person was told that they must come down to the front desk (at 10:30pm!) to be given the password.
5) at no point, for any of the above issues, was an apology offered to any guest. Not. Once.
6) the entire downstairs hallway smells overpoweringly of curry. Very strong.
7) as I write this, I am staring at a HUGE bug (millipede on steroids?) that scurried out of the bathroom and over to the corner of the room.
Horrible. Stay away.

I have to tell you, I know this hotel well from back in the day when METRO club was there, now it’s BOOM BURGER (owned by the same people). Growing up in Bergen County I figured I would stay there.
I arrive at the hotel, the young man at the front desk was very nice, gave a good rate. We stayed in Room 117. We get in the room and it is decent and clean. I go into the bathroom and the toilet seat looks like there is dry blood all over it. I pursue to try and clean it, but it has probably been there for ages, (the least that could’ve been done is replace the actual seat. I even took pictures to show to the Front desk person the next morning.
At 10am the following morning, the cleaning lady decides to open the door and stated to me «You checking out today» mind you, Check out is at 12 noon. I stated to her yes, at noon. She proceeds to say «look at what this other room left for me .011 cents» «the room was garbage everywhere, how can they leave me so little for all their mess», I was like ok wow, I felt like she was begging me to leave a tip for her. I was flabbergasted, how can she beg me and she has yet to even clean my room and it is only 10am when check out is after 12. I went to the front desk and decided to stay one more night so I proceeded to tell the people at the front desk the situation. We ended up going out and doing things, when we got back later that day around 4 pm, I walked into our room and they didn’t even clean anything. I couldn’t believe after she pretty much just begged me for a tip to leave, they didn’t even clean the room. I went to the front desk and told them, I also stated my son is not feeling well so please wait a couple of hours after 5 to send someone. Not even 45 min later, they cleaning lady knocks and right after opens the door, I told her I didnt want them to clean cause my son was sleeping and sick. She stated well we are her last room. I said fine and woke up my son, just so they can clean (in which was not a good job but I was done complaining).
I thought for Bergen County this hotel would be like it used to me, immaculate and a great staff. It was certainly nothing like it use to be 15+ years ago. The overnight staff is great, the day staff (the heavier set guy) is not so nice, but just ok. You would think with all of this going on, he would give us a new toilet seat or at least a better deal, but he didn’t offer anything. They always say you get what you pay for, you definitely do when you stay here. I just know for the future, I will never be visiting them again. I still have the pictures, in which I will post on every site.
If you stay there, just be aware of what you are getting yourself into. Thanks :)

Would give zero stars if I could. Much better places to stay. Room was dirty and overpriced. Will never stay in this chain again if it can be helped.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I checked in and pretty much went to bed. The next morning when I went to get into the shower, not only was there a dirty towel in the tub, but there was a used bar of soap in the shower as well. When I said something to the front desk about it, they said they would make sure the room was cleaned while i was out during the day. When I got back to the room at 5:30 pm, the soap and dirty towel were gone but the room had never been cleaned. When I checked out (well past the normal check out time) I told the front desk that I was not paying the cancellation fee and would not be charge for the night. The front desk was just like okay, thats fine here is your receipt.

I often tell myself I am going to write a review after having a bad experience or really good one, but often fail on the follow through. Well, my experience at the Ramada was so bad that I feel forced to write a review in hopes of saving someone else from another awful lodging stay. I honestly don’t know where to start…
Let me start by with something nice I could actually say about the place. The staff was really nice, pleasant and seemed like they’d be helpful if I needed «anything». Though they almost seemed surprised to see me, like «wow, we actually have guests in this dump?»
If I had to guess I would say that the «hotel» is family owned. It just had that family owned vibe and it looked like they hired their cousin, aunts, uncle and even granny to help to help with house keeping. Unfortunately when we arrived after 6pm they were still well into cleaning for the day. The family vibe is so strong that there is actually someone living in the hotel, as in, has setup residence. I was looking out my window and noticed house plants and vertical blinds! Not even playing.
I am happy to report that we made it out of there without any bedbugs, mice or encounters with giant cockroaches. It really does look that bad in this place. Everything is outdated. The carpet in the hallways look like they’ve been there since the place opened. Just ew! And let talk about all of the «purfume» they use to clean. Maybe it’s to try to mask the smell of delpidated hotel funk? Being here gave me the don’t touch anything yuckies.
I don’t want to go on and on but this place is a FAIL. Just don’t. Thank me later.

Hands-​down the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
We only stayed here because of a family event in the area, but next time I will pay the extra money and drive further to stay at a reputable, clean hotel.
We needed a handicapped accessible room for my parents, which you think would be ideal on the first floor, until you realize you have to walk up a set of stairs in order to get to the continental breakfast on the second floor. If you have a wheelchair or stroller, you either have to have help carrying it up the stairs or you need to take multiple trips.
The entire lobby smelled like smoke and old food and our bathroom had ants crawling on the floor.
This is not the service or facility I’d expect in such a wealthy/​prominent area of New Jersey.

Stay somewhere else, if you can afford it.
The good: Cheap. Close to the highway. Clean rooms, comfy beds, super comfy pillows.
The bad: Looks really shady from the outside. The restaurant on the premises is closed and empty and looks like it’s been that way for a while. Lots of noise from cars zooming past. We stayed on the 4^th floor and a group of college kids on a tour stayed up until 3 am, walking through the halls, leaving junk around, and making noise. They kept us up, even after we called the front desk asking them if they could do something. Oh yeah… and the WIFI SUCKS! It was soo slow, it felt like dial-​up. On top of that it dropped my connection every five minutes. Made it nearly impossible to get anything done online. The pool closes at 8 PM, so we missed swimming both nights. The breakfast was OK, typical continental, but they have some problems. There’s waffles, but so many people wanted waffles on Sunday morning that the waffle making guy was giving out numbers. I took a number but never got called. And the tables seat ten… so you may very well end up having to sit with someone else, or not have a seat at all, which is awkward. The fitness center? Haha! They gutted a standard hotel room, installed floor to ceiling mirrors, and threw in four excersize machines. Kind of sad.
Bottom line: this hotel is OK, clean at least… but definitely stay somewhere else if you can afford it or if you need wifi that actually works.

Go somewhere, anywhere, else than this hotel. Sleeping in you car at a rest stop on the parkway would be better than this hole.
WARNING: The manager is a pervert. If you are a woman and alone, avoid this place at all costs.
A group of friends and I ran out of steam on our way north on a road trip and decided to stop here at this place. The guy at the front desk was extremely creepy and after being asked whether there were any vacancies, he told two of my friends (girls) that it depends on how nicely they ask. He said this in a very nasty implied sexual way that grossed us out from the moment we got there.
He continued to do creepy things like walking in and out of neighboring rooms to the ones we were in during the night. I think he may have marked some rooms as dirty vacant and then squatted in them instead of doing his job.
Then there was the ac unit in our room: it didn’t work. And when we got the creepy manager to come up and look at it (after asking at least 3 times) he got the fan to turn on and left. Then we noticed the urine smell. It seems that the previous guest had urinated into the ac unit. At this point we requested another room, and the manager «miraculously» found another vacant room a couple doors down and across the hall from the one we were in. Earlier he had lied to us and said that there were no vacancies, but he could rent us two rooms that people had not checked into yet.
In the morning we tried to ask the new morning manager what the name of the night manager was, and he avoided the question saying that he didn’t know. Which was another lie because I saw them both together when I went to eat breakfast, which by the way, was slimy powdered eggs and soggy bagels. The morning manager even refused to tell us what the hotel franchise owner’s information was.
The only solution to the problems at this hotel is to nuke it from space.

A wicked shithole (our room smelled of heavy cigarette smoke) and the whole place was pretty dilapidated BUT the staff was nice, our room was clean, no one bothered us (even though we squeezed way more people than allowed in our room), the free HBO was nice, and the location is super convenient (right off the highway on Route 17).

One word: don’t.
Although the manager was very nice & helpful, the rest of the staff was not. When I asked if they had a place to drop off mail for the post man to pick up, the receptionist got all huffy because she didn’t know, then proceeded to point to the manager, her boss mind you, and said, «ask that dude.» It didn’t feel like their air conditioner cooled their hallways or elevators very well, so you end up sweating buckets by the time you get to your room. You had to check each floor to see which ice dispenser was working that by the time you got to the top floor and back to your room you were dripping wet in your sweat because um, see my air conditioner comment. The sheets didn’t seem fresh either.
I gave this place 1 star because its close to a really great mall & has a really good sized refrigerator in your hotel room.
