Pizza tastes so good. Pizza is an American diet staple and that’s so great. I love it. This place is super quick and delicious but there’s one thing I don’t understand; why is everyone yelling? Every time someone walks in the door, which is constantly at 6:30PM on a Friday, the entire staff yells, «Hello!» It’s jarring and annoying. Who would ever ask for this to be a mandatory part of a business culture? Why not a smile and a warm greeting once I’ve approach the counter? Guess what the staff does when patrons exit? They yell, «Thank you! Bye!» I don’t like yelling. I’m sure the staff doesn’t enjoy doing this either. They’ve yelled this so much obviously that it’s not an authentic greeting anymore. It’s bears more resemblance to a fog horn than a doorbell. Make the pizza and leave the yelling to my dad. Additionally, this variety of chains has a very annoying step I would like removed from the ordering process. «Hello, I’d like to order the #4.» I know what I want. I know exactly what I want. I was then given a lengthy explanation of their process and«How It Works», which is completely self explanatory. They can’t pronounce my name or even spell it so this lengthens the interaction. No one can hear me because it’s so fucking loud. The employee couldn’t understand my unnecessary explanation about why he couldn’t hear the words coming out of my mouth, «Number 4.» Then he asked me what my first language was, which is English. Then he told me he didn’t understand my commentary because he thought I said English wasn’t my first language. Can I just have a piece of paper to fill out, an iPad to order from, or maybe a chalkboard to wear around my neck? This place has made their simplistic ordering method unappealing. Maybe they could hear me if they stopped yelling at the other customers. I’ll only return here if they add Xanax or Ativan as topping items. The pizza was good. I just don’t think pizza should be stressful. Help me, Obama.

Ingredients tasted great! But the toppings were sparse. Give lots more! The pizza and the extras were extremely thin. Like having chips. Disappointed!

The place smelled good and the pizzas looked great, and the employees were helpful when it came to answering questions. The reason for the low rating is their gluten free pizzas, which we didn’t even end up getting. I did a search for gluten free restaurants near me, and MOD came up so my family(which all have celiac disease) decided on that. When we came in and asked about their preparation methods, we found that they have gluten free crusts but are baked on the same surface as the gluten pizzas, essentially contaminating them with gluten. My thing is: why advertise gluten free pizza if it’s not truly gluten free? I was excited to have a new pizza place around but I’ll have to stick with Blaze in Royal Oak. Sadly, we had to eat at crappy Qdoba next door.

Love this concept! The guy who created my pizza for me was extremely helpful and described it as a chipotle for pizza. I got the second size, 11 inches, and I actually ate the whole thing… Oops. Lots of options for vegans and vegetarians which is awesome! They used a brick oven to bake the pizza, and my pizza was perfectly done! Sooo good definitely will be back!

I WILLNEVERPIZZAANYWHEREELSE. The prices are amazing for the quality you’re getting. For a mod size which is 11″ it’s like basically $ 8 and completely made to order. From sauces to toppings and finishing sauces. The crust is thin and crispy and quickly served! You also have a variety of Boyland bottled pops which are delicious but their lemonades? Perfection! Shout out to Nate for being so friendly and helpful!

Been waiting for this place to open for a long while. When I finally got around to it I was not disappointed in the slightest. The crust is airy and crunchy, perfect for folding. The multitude of options for the toppings on any Mod pizza are seasonal hits. I personally recommend the cauliflower and garlic, both roasted, as well as the Chicken jalapeño sausage. Mod pizza is now my all time pizza place. I’m going to practically live here come summer. Watch out Nate and Crew! You’ve got a regular for life.

MOD Pizza is awesome! Expect a wait if you go during the dinner time rush. If you’re familiar with the Blaze Pizza formula, it is the same here at MOD Pizza. Fast casual Subway-like pizza in a jiffy. I made a make-your-own pizza with white sauce, sausage, bacon, and mozzarella. Oh-so good! The crust is phenomenal. I saw a complaint on here about it being too thin… not the case! This is where pizza is headed — away from the thick pan crust of yesterday like Pizza Hut, etc. Everything was fresh and delicious — we will be back!

I really wanted to try this and Blaze Pizza. Their concept is like Chipotle but for pizza. Build your own starting with the bread, toppings, etc in a big salad-bar setting. And they have solid milkshakes(Chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry; and you can get mix-ins like oreo bits with them too). Milkshakes are about $ 3 so a little pricey and a little small but delicious and better to have than soft drinks in my opinion. For the pizza, they have different options. If you don’t want to build your own, you can start with at least 10 of their premade specials as a base. Best things about this place: You can add unlimited toppings for no extra charge. They have salads(only entrée-sized so it’s not really a side item) and breadsticks too. I got their MOD special for $ 7.47 and basically build a supreme pizza with pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage, olives, green bell peppers, and topped with oregano. Definitely worth getting if you want to try something different than the usual pizza chains.

Pizzas are decent, edible. Do NOT do take-out or Internet orders. It’s a joint basically ran by teenagers(no offense to our hard-working young men and women, but…) NO supervision, NO guidance, NO accountability. Order and eat there, WATCH them cook, expect the least.

Much like Blaze, 900 degrees, 1,000 degrees, Pie Five Pizza Co MOD is the new kid on the block. As you walk in every employee shouts a welcome. They offer regular & gluten free crusts Plenty of sauce options MOD red sauce MOD white sauce pesto BBQ sauce garlic rub Cheese options mozzarella parmesan gorgonzola asiago feta dairy-free cheese Protein options pepperoni italian sausage(mild or spicy) bacon ground beef grilled chicken salami canadian bacon anchovies Veggies & herbs green bell peppers spinach artichokes Mama Lil’s peppers tomatoes roasted red peppers jalapenos pineapples red onion mushrooms black olives sun-dried tomatoes arugula cilantro seasonal roasted vegetables croutons roasted garlic rosemary chopped basil and yet more options after it is baked BBQ swirl pesto drizzle hot buffalo sauce red sauce dollops ranch balsamic fig glaze sri-rancha Love that I can get more sauce, extra sauce &2 of my favorite cheeses, feta & asiago! Plus to turn my mini pizza into a meat lovers! Plus it is an ultra thin crust, yet still flavorful. The concept is cool, clean & convenient, staff is very friendly They had some unique iced teas & lemonades, that I have yet to try. $ 5+ for a flavorful mini pizza, works for me.

Update; within a day of my review I was contacted by MODs corporate office apologizing for the experience I had and asking if they could try to make it up to me. I’m adding a star simply because I think that says a lot about the integrity of their business practices and hopefully my first experience was just an off day for the restaurant. I was craving pizza and decided to run out and give MOD a try instead of just ordering delivery because I’d heard a lot about it. What a disappointment! This and a soda was almost $ 8.00. The dime is to show HOW thin it is. I like thin crust pizza but this isn’t even pizza dough! And to top it off, it doesn’t even taste good… and they have crappy ranch dressing! I don’t like Hot & Ready’s but I would choose one of those any day over this! I’ve had Lean Cuisine pizza that tastes better! Totally don’t understand the hype about this place! Ok, rant over! They get an extra star for having Coke Zero and the tiny pebble ice but unfortunately only have one size of soft drink and it’s quite small, which I suppose would be sufficient if you were dining in but definitely not great for carry out.

So I was looking around for some food(as usual) and nothing good was open where I was except for this place. I decided to go there with a friend. The place looks amazing from the inside and although this place is a franchise, it has a local touch to it. There are many pictures on the wall of people from the area. You can personalize your pizza at this place or get one of their specialty pizzas if you do not want to be disappointed with your own selection. The price is very good for what you are getting(less than 8 dollars) and you can have as many topping as you want. They have at least 10 meat choices and around 20 vegegies. You can also choose between many cheeses and several sauces. Also, they will really fill that pizza with toppings(not like some other places that put 5 pepperonis and consider that a topping). The have a great selection of craft soda and some imported and local beers as well. Oh they also have wine. The beer and wine prices are very reasonable and you could get a pitcher of beer for less than 12 dollars. They also have like 5+ lemonade and fountain drinks. It will take them 5 minutes to cook the pizza in a brick oven. After they cook the pizza, you can add sauce on it(ranch, bbq, 5 others). The place is very popular and friendly. I will definitively be going back there soon.

This is my new place to eat. THe concept is awesome. I like the options a a variety and the one price for unlimited toppings is such a great deal. I got the 6in personal. Red sauce-spices-chicken-roasted cauliflower-mushrooms-cheese-crushed onions and more cheese. I also tried their Garlic sticks. YUM. I can’t wait to go back. They have homemade Brewed ice teas also and lemonade. I tried their blackberry lemonade. Delicious. It took about 10 minutes to make a a bake. Deff worth the wait. The design inside is also sweet. Highly recommend!

An 11″(?) pizza and garlic sticks for under $ 12. Any toppings you want for no additional charge. Nice selection of teas to choose from. Draft beer and wine from the tap. Fancy pants waters… I can see why MOD is popular. Oh, and the food’s good too. To the people whining about the dough, all I do is laugh. And, it’s like«cracker crust»? Really? Get off Unilocal and stop eating pizza — your cluelessness is embarrassing. Four stars for the simple fact that the workers had no idea what was going on. My girlfriend ordered the current seasonal pizza and no one knew what was on it – they had to look at the menu to know. MOD has a pleasant atmosphere, is affordable, filling, and, most importantly, quality-centric, with a long list of toppings. I look forward to coming back some time soon. And in case you’re wondering what I got on my pizza(you aren’t): red pizza sauce, garlic rub, gorgonzola, asiago, bacon, pickled jalapenos, and red onion … with arugula on top afterwards. Mm, mm.

Been waiting for this type of fast casual restaurant in the area for quite a while. I work in Auburn Hills and don’t have many good quick lunch options. MOD Pizza is quick, fun, and delicious! You can order a mini pizza or regular size pizza. Choose your sauce, cheese, veggies, and meats. Don’t worry they have a HUGE variety of anything to put on your pizza, including arugula, rosemary, and you can top it off with a finishing sauce, like BBQ. Once your pizza is built it’s thrown in the fire oven for about 2 – 3 minutes. Even though these are flat pizzas and it doesn’t take long to cook these are packed with flavor! The mini pizza is perfect for lunch, it’s only $ 5.19! They also offer breadsticks(flat sticks) and cinnamon sticks. Every single employee is super nice and they ask every customer how is their pizza, how is everything, etc. Can’t wait to come back here for lunch!

This is another pizza place in the same vein as Blaze or Pieology where you can create your own pizza for a set price. The nice thing about Mod is that they also have beer and wine, as well as shakes. The pizza, to me, was better than competitors. I tried the Tristan, with added fresh basil and it was excellent. My friend made her own vegan pizza(thumbs up for vegan options) and she loved hers too. I’ll definitely be back. Probably too often for my waistline.

Brand new location just opened yesterday. I was very impressed even though I know it’s only day 2. Employees are so full of energy and happy to help you, hopefully that doesn’t wear away when the newness dies down. I built my own pizza on a gluten free crust which by the way you’d never know was gluten free. MOD is similar to Blaze in Royal Oak if you’ve ever been there. You can choose one of their pre-designed pizzas or build your own. I made mine with white sauce, fresh basil, spicy sausage, roasted red peppers and mushrooms. It was cooked perfectly and then drizzled with balsamic fig sauce which took it to the next level. It was so delicious and big enough for two meals for me or perfect for sharing. I will definitely be back here. They also make their own iced teas and lemonade as well as shakes and serve beer. It’s a one stop shop!

Been to Mod quite a bit in other states, so was excited to see it here in Rochester. Mod is customized personal pizzas baked rather fast. Definitely worth a try. My favorite is the Caspian without gorgonzola, add roasted garlic. Of course today is opening here, so somewhat of a zoo! But they have tons of help, really cranking through.

Disclosure: I came to MOD today for the friends/family event, I was invited since I am a blogger. This was my second time at a MOD location, the first one I went to was the Northville event a few months ago. That time, I got one of the menu recipes; this time, I did a build your own pizza, with garlic, mushrooms, red peppers, pepperoni, and chicken, on a gluten-free crust … Quite delicious. We also ordered milkshakes — I had a plain vanilla one and my mom ordered a vanilla milkshake with two mix-ins, cookie dough and something else delicious — as well as the garlic breadsticks and the cinnamon sticks. The milkshakes and the cinnamon sticks are among the best I have ever had, and the garlic breadsticks are unique in that they have rosemary on them, and you can pick your dipping sauce. I chose pesto for my sauce and my mom chose the cinnamon sauce for her cinnamon sticks, which was ridiculously good. My mom and I both chose gluten-free crusts this time, too — neither of us usually eat gluten-free, but I wanted to see how it tasted and at one point I considered keeping gluten-free. The crust looked thicker than the normal crust before it was baked, and then it came out very nice and crispy, I liked it a lot. What makes MOD different than Pie 5 or Blaze, the other two fast pizza places I have tried, is that it has a lot of specialty items like the garlic bread and the cinnamon sticks, as well as specialty lemonades, alcohol, and a few other yummy things. The Rochester Hills location is a lot closer for me than the Northville location, so I will be back at some point.
