Applebee’s is Applebee’s. Almost everything at Applebee’s is good. I am writing this review about the staff. I was here last night and sat at the bar, had 1 drink and split and app with a friend. The bartender was super friendly, attentive and so was the woman who ran us our appetizer. A++ on the attitude of the staff in this place. As for the food — it was my first time having the pulled pork nachos and they were VERY good.

Tomato basil soup like pizza sauce with croutons. Chicken taco soup like doritos soaked in gravy.

One star sort of speaks for itself but hey, the purpose of Unilocal(God bless them) is for customers to write reviews. So in order for me to do mine justice I have to go back to the previous visit at another location. Generally speaking, not a good experience. The service left a lot to be desired and the food was the same. Back in the day we used to go there a lot, but again, that was back when they provided great service and served consistently very good food. That would have been the last time but I decided to purchase a car wash/gift card combo at Delta Sonic for my parents this Christmas. I’ve been to Pittsford Plaza many, many times and most always saw people coming and going there. So that was my reasoning of going to this one. I notice prior to writing this a sizable amount of reviews referred mainly going to have drinks… understandable. A steak was ordered«medium» and came out well done. 2 cheeseburgers were ordered(both pink as they refer to them as there, or something to that effect) and mine requesting to be not cooked too much on either side so it wasn’t black and crusty. Ordered American cheese on both and substituted mashed potatoes for french fries. My burger was very black and crusty(as though I ordered it that way) and both came out with fries, no mashed. The cheese appeared to be cheddar, not American and asked the server and she said, no, it’s American… WRONG! The other burger was also ordered«pink» and you guessed it, was also well done! I chose to just count my losses and eat my potatoes(since I already decided I’d get a really good burger somewhere else, rather than gamble on a re-try) and my order ended up being comped. I don’t know what would have been the outcome had my parents also spoke up but peculiarly enough, the guys sitting behind me waited for minutes to speak to a manager and their food resulted in being comped. But I must say, the strawberry lemonade was delicious! What I can’t understand is how that place seems to be as busy as they are? Sorry about the lengthy review but I wanted to be specific regarding this visit… actually very last visit period.

I only come here when I have a gift card. The food is usually good but tends to be salty. I like salty foods but others don’t. The prices are expensive considering its most likely all a bag and boil. Service is usually alright. If I have a gift card I will just get the food to go. Its just ehh.

Only good thing about the meal was the sweet potato fries, I mean how could u mess up a Caesar salad… Even that tasted gross. Ribs were very dried & burnt, not sauced enough.

Oh the disappointment… truly not worth the effort. Applebee’s has adopted technology in a weird way with their«Presto» terminals at each table. Our most recent visit will definitely be our last. While the servers were friendly when we saw them, the«Presto» terminals allowed them to avoid us when we had(surprise) a problem with our order! While we eventually got our order corrected(which they wound up comping), it was a stressful experience. Technology might be grand but it is no substitute for a friendly(and competent) server.

Okay so no big surprise here but the food is what you’d expect from any Applebees, meaning that a burger or the Ultimate Trio is going to be good, but don’t expect something elegant when you order a steak. The real reason to go here is the staff. If you’re of the right age sit at the bar and get your drinks and food from Jess, who is the absolute perfect bartender. Drinks are made with love, and you can’t beat the good humor or great service at this particular establishment, especially from Jess and the other bar staff. You really can’t find a place better for cheap drinks and good service. If you treat this Applebees like a bar that serves food, and aren’t looking to fist pump under strobe lights, than this is the perfect place for you.

This is probably the only Applebee’s in the world that I wouldn’t describe as a ‘Crapplebee’s.’ I mean, ultimately it’s still an Applebee’s, therefore — I think that all of us should know what to expect and what /not/to expect, haha. That being said, I know what to expect for typical American fare and pub food and Applebee’s is what it is. I like my late night half off apps and drink specials, what can I say? Poor college student and my family seems to love stockin’ me up on Cheesecake Factory and Applebee’s gift certificates during the holidays. This Applebee’s location is in close proximity to Naz and Saint John Fisher, so that’s made it easy for my boyfriend and I to get there and back. Student discounts too, don’t forget, kids! During football season it was perfect, I think on Mondays they did jersey raffles, and I won two of them during the season! We also liked going there for trivia nights as well. If you go to this certain location, make sure that Jessica is bartending, she’s the best and makes my drinks ‘with love,’ whenever I’m there. ;)

My husband and I often get gift cards for here so we end up eating here more often then we would like. We started putting on our Christmas and birthday lists NOAPPLEBEE’S GIFTCARDS. Every time we come to Applebee’s to eat we finish disappointed and feeling gross from the food. Came here recently because of a gift card we received. It was a busy Friday evening but thankfully we were able to beat out any wait times to eat since we went a little after dinner time. Our waiter was nice, funny and attentive when he was near us but he kept disappearing. My husband and I are not particular people so we don’t really care. We had everything we needed. We got some appetizers which were fine. It was the sampler platter. Nothing was out of this work but we ate everything but the dip. We then ordered our meals. I know from past experience that there meals aren’t always great so I just ordered some chicken fingers and mashed potatoes. The chicken fingers were dry and had too much breading on them. The mashed potatoes were way too salty and there weren’t mashed very much. I did not finish my meal and I did not take it home. However, on a positive side I got an Oreo milkshake and it was delicious. Overall, Applebee’s disappoints me every time. I think if we get any more gift cards instead of meals we will be using them on drinks and appetizers at the bars. I will never come here with out a gift card.

Oh my high school love affair with Applebee’s ended after I graduated. We used to love late night appetizers, sadly the veggie patch pizza and Asian chicken wrap are retired. I was kindly given a gift card and reintroduced myself to the«neighborhood bar and grill». 7:00 on a Friday night they had a minimal wait but we chose the bar for immediate service. Not so immediate due to the collection of conversations the employees were having but I don’t mind giving a holla. Going ultra frugal we did the 2 for $ 20.00. The mozzarella sticks were plentiful and tasty. My Asian chicken salad was delicious, crispy, well dressed but heavy on the cabbage. My friends three cheese chicken penne was pretty short on the chicken, I think I may have had more on my salad.

Not really sure why I love this place so much. My friends think i’m weird. But the very cold beer on tap(with frosted glasses!), excellent service and I would say very good wings makes this a great place to hang. The happy hour prices are amazing and overall you know what to expect(its Applebees, all are pretty much the same right??). I have gone here often and they do have a trivia night on Wednesdays and Fridays which can be fun. I like the location but I have a sweet spot for Pittsford Plaza so there is likely some bias there. But honestly give this place a chance– its rarely packed at night and is a relaxed atmosphere for good beer, decent(I actually think more than decent) food and conducive to conversation.

Stop in on Wednesday’s for trivia, sit at the bar and have Jessica serve you. You WILLNOT regret it. 2 $ beers and half price apps after 9. I would suggest just sticking to the drinks!

Outstanding staff. My wife ordered a meal that ended up being a bit too spicey for her. With the spicey sauce indicated on the menu it clearly could have been our responsibility. But the evening manager, without any hesitation, encouraged us to order something else to replace the original dish because he feels that every customer should leave full and satisfied. Kudos to server Courtney and manager Bruce for making our dining experience a great one.

It’s Applebees. Do you really need a write up? Same tasty schlock you’ll get at every Applebees in every city on earth. Good burgers, decent wings. Not my favorite place to eat but I’ve never really been disappointed. I’m just not a fan of chains.
