Absolutely Fabulous breakfast! Today was my second visit for breakfast and I am completely convinced this place is Fantastic. Locals know the drill… name /sign in sheet hangs by the door. the people inside the well lit & well run kitchen and dining rooms are a buzz. A short wait with friendly folks smiling chatting and sharing stories, information and enjoying the absolutely delicious food or waiting to Not too long of a wait and we were seated with water and coffee to mull over the specials and I tell you they really are ‘special’ I had the salmon benedict with broccolini and sun dried tomato on grilled foccaia with hollaindaise. HEAVENLY… perfectly cooked poached eggs… darn delicious I would be remiss if I didn’t encourage you to have the round potato cakes. crisp and hot but not at all greasy. My man, who picked this eatery since he goes frequently, Had a huge omlet special. the Damb We cant remember the name of the special. but it was filled with tomato, terriaki chicken and topped with pineapple salsa. He thoroughly enjoyed it and my just a taste was enjoyable The service was spot on with drinks, check backs, refills, order delivery and pre-bussing. Fast, friendly and genuine our server was top notch! If you haven’t been. go, Certainly worth the trip

Always good food, fast service. Have never had an issue with this place. Almost always orders the eggs Benedict and it’s so delicious. The waitresses are quick and friendly. My husband has tried some of their breakfast specials and hasn’t always been knocked out of the park by them.

First off the parking here is terrible. Driving in and out of the parking lot is a nightmare. If you plan on going here I recommend parking at the pharmacy around the corner and just walk instead. Second, no credit cards? What year is? A lot of places can take cards using a tablet. Third, the service was very lacking. It’s seat yourself, which I did, right at the counter thinking I’d get waited on promptly. After waiting a few minutes without any service, I noticed an employee greeted a few regulars that just walked in. Even though I arrived first, they got waited on before me. I almost walked out right then and there. Fourth, the décor. To say it’s lacking is an understatement. The war photos and factoids plastered all over the walls feel extremely out of place for a breakfast joint. If you’re not pro-military, you’re going to feel very unwelcome. Fifth, the food. It’s good. Decent. Not the best pancakes, eggs and bacon I’ve ever had, but I’ve had worse. However, the above mentioned issues prevent me from ever wanting to come back ever again. Lastly, I almost forgot, I briefly overheard a conversation from someone who I assume was either the manager or the owner. To make a long story short, she was telling a regular about how she doesn’t care about making an official Facebook page for the restaurant and doesn’t bother reading online reviews. That’s a shame, because social media can really help promote your business and keep in touch with your loyal customers. Also, if you’re not reading your online reviews, you’re never going to learn what you’re doing right and wrong with your business. Reading other peoples reviews I see that others have the same qualms that I did. Her apathetic attitude spoke volumes to me and cemented decision not to come back.

They have great breakfast from their Benedict(duh) to their monte cristo to their biscuits and gravy. Even though it’s not THEBEST I’ve ever had, I definitely recommend giving them a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

Been coming here for years. The food is amazing and it comes in large portions. You definitely won’t leave hungry. The specials menu is different every day and is filled with some of the tastiest combinations I would never think of but they do, and they rock it! Wether you get eggs, a lobster roll a salad or a hamburger you won’t be disappointed. And then there is the staff. Some of the friendliest people in the business. They make it a point to know your name and everyone feels welcome and like a regular. They have also been raising money for different veteran organizations for years. The customers of Benedicts at one point donated enough money to fill half a Southwest jet with WWll vets and caregivers and fly them to see the WWll memorial in DC. But it was the owners of this restaraunt that worked behind the scenes to make it happen. Come to Benedicts for a great value.

Benedict’s is the Cheer’s of Rochester. Everybody knows your name. Courteous, attentive staff, good hot food, and camaraderie await you. Breakfast specials are always a surprise with many repeat favorites available also. We’re long time customers so our beverages are already in our usual spots as we come through the door. Ron is quite a chef with his varied take on some of his dishes. Your mom’s comfort food is usually available, too. Our home away from home.

The staff is so friendly and prompt. I love the specials and the fresh muffins. Never had lunch there but the breakfast rules. Very fairly priced.

My wife and I love it here. The food is good and the waitresses know us by name. We feel very comfortable here and the food is good for any morning that you are too lazy to cook.

Went here with my friend one Sunday for breakfast. When we first got there, we didn’t see a hostess so my friend asked the young girl behind the bar about getting on the waiting list, to which she rudely informed us that we had to sign up on the paper by the door. As someone who had never been here before, we would never have seen this tiny piece of paper beside the door to sign up on so I’m not sure why that bitch was so nasty about it. We were seated fairly quickly, and our waitress was just as nice as she could be. I got a seafood omelette on special, and my friend got a veggie omelette. She said hers was delicious, and the amount of seafood in my omelette was alarmingly high for such a good price of $ 15. The seafood was delicious and tasted fresh, there were actual chunks of lobster, no imitation junk. The coffee was hot and delicious, and the waitress even offered to pour us to go cups when we went to leave. The food was excellent, and I definitely recommend the potato cakes as well. We will surely come back for breakfast every time my friend comes to visit me.

Breakfast for everyone! I have been here a couple of times with my husband, daughter and parent s, and we can all find what we like on the menu. Delicious food, and service is fast! The atmosphere is casual and familiar, with a lot of seaying. It can be crowded, but the turnover is pretty fast. Décor is lacking-primarily focused on war history, so, cool for some, but not all. Parking on the weekends can be tough. It is a small, cramped lot. Important to note is that this restaurant is cash only! They have an ATM inside, but plan accordingly! Prices are totally affordable.

Possibly the best breakfast I’ve ever had! I had the special called the hash bomb(homemade hash topped with scrambled eggs and sausage gravy and then surrounded by hash brown) ohmigod. Cooked perfect and fast! Even the coffee is great! The staff was so incredibly friendly. I will absolutely come back!

We arrived there just before 9am. After assessing the place we ordered our food. Before we knew it, our breakfast was being presented to us! Very fast service! The portions are huge! I had to get a to go box, for my breakfast! I would try them again… maybe for lunch. Stay tuned.

This is easily one of my favorite places for breakfast. My only complaint is the lack of parking, and the last few times we’ve gone, we’ve had to wait 20 minutes or so, but I don’t mind that for a good meal. The prices are very reasonable and the food is consistently very good. Potato cakes are a must-try, the omelettes and scrambles are delicious, and on one occasion I had the best strawberry banana pancakes I have ever tasted. Lunch is less stellar, but still worth the price.

Awesome. We used to go to their place in Dover when it was Jakes and then Ron’s. Took us way to long to go to Benedict’s. We walk in and the owner and waitresses remembers our names. Food and service was awesome. I had eggs, homemade hash and my wife had eggs and asparagus. While the place is a little run down it is what you expect for a hometown breakfast place. Will be back.

Wife and I visit Benedict’s around once a month, she always gets the same old egg meal(two over easy with hash browns, buttered rye, and grilled corn beef hash) always loves her meal. I am the explorer, where ever we go I have to try something new and different. So what’s this«Red Flannel Hash» Benedict??? I didn’t love it but I really liked it. Homemade hash with thin strips of sauteed onions and what appeared to be crushed beets. The hash was purplish, hot, tasty, had great texture, and it was a good compliment to my wonderful eggs and hash browns. Wonder what will be on the menu next time?
