This place can’t win for losing. They are the closest breakfast place to my house, so I’d LOVE them to be decent… but I’ve gone three times and had three bad experiences, so it doesn’t look like it’s meant to be. The food is always excellent. My guess is that this place was opened by someone who likes to cook but has no business sense. First time that I went, I coffee once and was never asked again during the HOUR that I waited for my food if I wanted more. Not sure which part of that is worse. The place seats about 15 people… but the waitress seemed overwhelmed. Second time that I went they had a new waitress, who was even worse. Had to ask her three times for milk for my mothers coffee, before finally having to go up to the counter and ask her. She was just leaning on the counter staring out the window when I approached her, and just kind of mumbled«Oh sorry about that.». Food again took FOREVER to come out, and was wrong. At that point we just our wrong orders and left. Before we could, a gentleman stated yelling that this was the worst food and worst service that he’d ever had(with some colorful language added) and took his family and left. Like I said, the food has never been the issue for me, but I get where he’s coming from with the service. THIRD and probably final time that I went, a DIFFERENT waitress was actually giving it a pretty good run(only three customers in the place might have helped). My son had ordered a breakfast that came with pancakes. Never got them. The cook(and I would assume owner) comes out to the other table there and I hear him say«We’re out of pancake mix. I can run across the street and get some at Market Basket if you want… it’s up to you.» Ummm??? First off, it’s BREAKFAST! How do you run out of pancake mix? There was not exactly a glut of people eating there? Second… I know that ultimately you probably buy your mix at the same store that I do… but I go out to eat working under the illusion that you’re making something different/better than what I could make at home. I know that seems like kind of a nit-picky point, but I don’t want to know where the mix comes from! The cook then comes to our table and flops French Toast on my sons plate and says«We’re out of pancakes»… never asks him if he likes FT(he doesn’t), doesn’t offer to comp the meal or part f it. Just kind of shuffles off. Good food. I’ve never gone wrong on that end… they just don’t know how to treat people. Now they’re doing something to the outside that involves slapping pieces of plywood up, making them look like they’re closed. Not sure who’s calling the shots, but they’re calling them wrong.
