Ate lunch here with a party of 7 during bike week in Laconia. I have a special dietary requirement(gf), and was hesitant to try a new restaurant while traveling. The food was delicious! The entire party enjoyed their meals and I was pleasantly surprised to find many gluten free choices on the menu. The server was knowledgable and attentive as well as extremely accommodating. Great, friendly place, reasonably priced menu. When in the area stop in and enjoy a great meal.

Best margaritas!!! Great apps and steaks, only iffy food is salads… Vegetables aren’t anything to write home about. But it’s a great place to go on the weekends, always some form of quality local entertainment! No complaints, good all around.

Food is always good here but I typically come here often and the service is terrible. You seat yourself and sometimes it takes 15 minutes for someone to even come take a drink order. We sat down. About ten minutes later another group sits at the table next to us, and 5 minutes after that, the waitress finally came over and had the audacity to serve the people who say down after us, first. Seems like they are focused more on the regulars that walk in, or on tables they think the larger tips are coming from. Great food. Bad service. Small tip from this table now.

Just had the Grilled Chicken Dinner. In my opinion, the overall meal was typical of this area… a lot of fluff and no substantial value. I was a bit excited when I read the details on the menu. It stated that corn bread was an option with the meal. I disappointed. The corn bread was a not corn bread at all… it was a muffin! A sweet, corn flour muffin. Not what I expected. The meal also came with sweet potato fries! My favorite! The sweet potato fries were great! The rice pilaf was good, along with the coleslaw. As for the chicken… it was the fake, processed crap you would find being sold in a cardboard box! Disappointing. Overall, good meal.

Good place to meet up with friends in the Rochester-Farmington area. Decent selection of beers on tap. Friendly service. Bonus points for free, self-serve popcorn. HINT: When offered the choice between a pint or 20. ounce draft beer — opt for the bigger option. It’s only 50¢ more and you deserve an extra treat.

Came here when my mother was visiting and wanted a steak. We sat at the bar and were promptly greeted and started with drinks. We both got a sangria, they were delicious and really packed a punch. Next we ordered our dinner. We both got the steak of the month, it was a sirloin with bernaise sauce which we got on the side. We also had a baked potato and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was fantastic, I am not one to fill up on salad, but I ate every bit of that salad! The steaks looked more like filet mignon and was cooked perfectly. After dinner we had freshly brewed coffee and another special, homemade whoopie pies! Yum. :-) The atmosphere was very comfortable and the service was great. I highly recommend Smokey’s Tavern. They accept cc and also have limited outdoor seating. The prices were very reasonable especially if you get the steak of the month special.

We love Smokey’s Tavern, it’s nice to have the Granite Steak’s food away from the blue hairs that reside upstairs. It can been a little too dark on a bright sunny day, but they do have an outside patio. The food of course is awesome and service is always great.
