Cam’s Pizzeria

I used to love this place and I’m not sure what has happened. Walked in and there we were able to order the last slice of cheese pizza at 6:00 even though it looked like it’s been there for days.
Had to remind the girl to take out our slices so they weren’t burnt. Guess what… they were burnt. Watched a family a five walk in at 6:15…they asked if they had any cheese pizza and the counter girl said no. What??? That family left.
What pizza place doesn’t have fresh pizza and the basic cheese and pepperoni available at a dinner hour? I usually don’t give bad reviews but this was unacceptable compared to what this place used to be and could be.

Pizza at Cam’s is very inconsistent. This review is based upon the pizza received last night.
We ordered a large cheese and pepperoni pizza for pick up. It was ready when we arrived at Cam’s. The person that assisted with our pick up opened the box so we could see the pizza. It looked fine. Brought it home to find the center of the pizza too thin and wet. The center crust looked more like lasagna noodled than pizza crust. Only the outer part of the pizza was edible.
We have received pizzas like this before but never this bad. Very disappointing. Cam’s pizza can be good but not always. I guess it depends on whose making your pizza. Not worth trying again. Goodbye Cam’s. We are breaking up with you.

Pizza is fine, nothing special. The crust was thick and a bit dry while the cheese was a little greasy. For the price it is just ok pizza.

I think girls tend to like this place more than guys. I only say this because I’ve seen a lot of girls in «Cams» and boys, not as often. I went online, and there even a ton of girls on the WWW site of this place known as «Webcams.» In fact there are more girls in Webcams than in Cams actual store. Crazy, right? But yes, Cams are totally popular, like, massively so. And they tend to make Cams popular with guys too, although usually not massively so. Usually in a small way. A very small, pitiful, pathetic way perhaps. Now on with the review.
What to get: Buffalo Chicken Slice, Steak Slice, Pep Slice, whatever
What else: Don’t get caught Nude in Cams, that sort of scandal never goes away
The slice I got was the Buffalo Chicken and in short, I absolutely loved it. It was a five-​star slice all the way. Speaking of all the way, did you know some girls go All The Way in Cams? I can actually prove it if you like. I’ll show you at the next Elite Event.
Speaking of Elite Events…
I came to Cam’s because I was doing a Saturday food tour of Rochester after the Picnic Event organized by the lovely Breanna. I expected to hate their food. The service was really bad. The girl acted like I’d insulted her family when I asked her which slice to get. There were about 20 slices and they all looked old — reminded me of Olisi’s on Sheridan in Amherst.
However the experience improved dramatically when she brought the slice back out of the oven. In that it was absolutely delicious. I had not imagined it being this good. My word, it was lovely. A big, hot, sexy, juicy, crisp, thin crust NY slice. If I’d gotten this slice in NYC itself, I still would have loved it. That’s how good it was.
The price was 3.25, which is a little on the steep side, but for a slice this big and this good there was no issue from me. I took the slice in the restroom, and took pictures of it next to the toilet. But then wouldn’t anyone? Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do with a slice? No? Oh. Oops. Well I posted them anyway. I know there are other locations of Cam’s, and I will try them in time to see if they are as good as this one. Forget the service, go there for the pizza. Great lobby too. Clean, cool, spacious, and inviting. I took some pix of it. Lovely location up in Irondeqoit where there isn’t a lot of good pizza. This slice rivals Pizza Stop, Carmine’s, Joe’s Brooklyn and the like. Excellent.
I would say it was «orgasmic» but that’s a bit of a cliché, and besides, if it was orgasmic, then it’d be renamed «Cames.»

This must be New York’s best pizza joint. The employees were helpful and fast and the food was amazing.
The pepperoni pizza was excellent. Make a stop inside while visiting Rochester, you will not be disappointed.

Very inconsistent food. One day the pizza is amazing, the next its raw dough or overlooked. The fried ravioli lacked seasoning. The fried dough was bland and hard like it wasn’t fresh. The chicken wings were dry.

Got this to go. Cool pizza squares, bro.
Other than that, kind of tastes plasticy after delivery.

As far as pizza itself goes it’s really good thin crust pizza but… we were looking for genuine New York style pizza and unfortunately this is not it.
So go for good pizza but if you’re looking for NY style pizza then go somewhere else. I really wish I could tell you where. I couldn’t find any in Rochester.

As far as thin-​crust, New York style pizza goes, I can’t find anything better than Cam’s! I used to work in a salon on a corner with 3 pizza places to choose from within walking distance; Pudgie’s, Bay Goodman, and Cam’s. I tried them all and Cam’s does it best. Their crust is awesome, and the slices are huge. NY style or not, I can’t find a better chicken wing or breakfast style pizza around. It’s a little expensive, for me, but worth it!

Getting love all the way from Ohio…
This is a definite stop while in the Rochester area, for truly authentic new york pizza. And for a twist, go there for breakfast, YES i said breakfast as they have many breakfast pizzas!
Great lunch deals as well. Also serving pasta, but after 3 slices of their thin crust pizza I’m stuffed.
I also take a pie home with me for the family to enjoy as well. They half bake if for you and give you instruction for the finishing touches.
Definitely stop in… if you do not like it, Id be tempted to pay for your slice of pie!

Fantastic pizza and other items! Love the décor and it’s very clean. My family comes here about 1 time a month from 20 minutes away because there is no place better!
