5 Chinese food stars… so in other words in Chinese food takeout this place is great. The bad reviews are from a previous owner. It’s much better. Solid takeout. Although I think they have a delivery fee, which kinda stinks. But the food is good quality and pretty decent sized portions. We order a few times a month and in gates this is the best option.

Since this new couple took over this business, they have improved a lot, when they first started, they were plain bad, so I stopped buying from them until this past summer when I was very hungry on a sunday night and they were my only option other than pizza, they weren’t that bad and have been buying from them almost by-weekly. They’re solid, not spectacular but they are consistent, and I like consistent.

In a desperate and irrational moment, I ordered chinese food from China Wok. I was hungry and far too tired to cook. I looked across the road from the post office and my eyes landed on this place, so I decided to give it a try.
I’ve eaten at some pretty dodgy Chinese take-out places especially as an undergraduate student. I’d have to say that this place takes the cake on dodgy. The mildewy smell and dated décor indicate that this place has seen better days (see photo).
The portion sizes are large. The food is cheap. I ordered shrimp fried rice which was bland. I also got crab ragoons and chicken wings. My husband said the wings were okay, but the ragoons were forgettable.

There are plenty of chinese restaurants in town. all of them are better than this one. The food was so bad; I haven’t gone back in 2 years. I can’t remember much about this place, but how bad it was.

We visited here while on a road trip to MI. Though the place was empty, it WAS a Tuesday night and it made the staff all the more attentive. The food was quite good; I enjoyed their veg mu shu. They packed all the extras (more than an entire second serving!) up to our challenging instructions. The kitchen has a window onto the seating area so you can see the chef at work while you wait. The music was also calming but not too loud. Great value.
