Erwin’s Dry Cleaners

If you have a coupon you have to present it when you drop the item off, not when you are paying. They will not allow you to use the coupon, she refused to honor it when I handed her the coupon.

I’ve had decent experiences with the Erwin’s on East Ave, so one day I went to the Brighton location near Twelve Corners because it happened to be more conveniently located. It ended up being more hassle than it was worth.
Two stars because, yes, they did clean what I asked them to — no damages or any horror stories, but the service was not ideal. The parking lot is tiny and shared between four businesses, so it gets very crazy very fast. This location also doesn’t take Erwin’s coupons that the East Ave location accepts, which was a little weird, but not a huge deal.
Anyway, I needed a few dresses by Friday at the latest, so I dropped it off the prior Saturday and was told it would be ready by Tuesday after 5 pm. I come to pick it up around 6 on Tuesday and when I ask for it, the girl at the counter looks for a while, comes back with a nervous giggle and says «It’s not ready yet, so… maybe it will be ready tomorrow?» I asked if it would be ready by Wednesday morning and she said «Maybe? I don’t know. You could stop in and see.»
I waited until Thursday morning because I wanted to be sure I would actually get my dry cleaning, and there it was. They did a fine job, but I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a dry cleaner to be able to tell you when your clothes will be ready. I wouldn’t go to this location again.
