I was able to get a great deal on a couple nights here through the name your own price on Priceline($ 70/night + fees = $ 86/night). As the name would suggest this hotel is designed for people to basically live in as each room has a full sized kitchen and the front desk has things like cookware and plates and whatnot that you can borrow from them. We were only staying for two days so we didn’t need all that but it was nice to know it was there in case we didn’t feel like going out to eat. The room was very clean and comfortable and they had plenty of parking. Additionally they are located right by a 24 hour grocery store and a number of other shops and not far from the highway so it’s a very convienient location. Service at the front desk was about normal and the free breakfast in the morning was pretty standard for a place like this(though definitely appreciated). It included coffee/tea/hot chocolate, cereal, granola bars, some fruit, and some Sams Club type muffins.

I like the renovation and improvements Extended Stay has made in this hotel. It used to be a bit tattered and run-down, but it’s much nicer now. For the price, location, and overall facilities, this is definitely worth a look. The rooms are much cleaner than they used to be. Plus each room has a kitchen and fridge, which can be convenient. The bed is comfy and clean, which is a bit of an improvement over before. There’s no free breakfast or any restaurant in the hotel, but there are a couple places(Bill Gray’s and Perkins) just a minute walk from the hotel. You have to bring your own toiletries, which can be a drag if you flew into Rochester, but there are pharmacies and a Wegmans nearby. If you’re just looking for a clean place to stay that’s really quiet, consider this location. You’re a 5 minute drive from both U of R and RIT.
