My go-to BBQ place. Hands down. Famous Dave’s ranks in the top 10BBQ places in the US. This franchise will not let you down. The burnt ends are amazing. The ribs are superb. Everything on the menu is worth ordering. Heads up: The delicious bread pudding is a meal in itself.

This was the second time we were there. The first time we had told the manager something about the chicken, I don’t remember what it was, but it wasn’t very good. We didn’t feel rose to the level to request our money back on. This time my ribs were overdone, and dry. You could tell that even visually. I regret having not sending them back, but was thinking I would just get more of the same. I would easily have been better off making them myself at home!

We use to love to go to famous Dave’s but are last visits have not been the greatest. We went back again yesterday were seated right away and than we waited for over 10 minutes before a waitress even came over to the table. They were not busy but the three or more waitresses just stood up by the cook and checked on a couple of tables that were already served. Not to mention after we finally got ordered I was served someone else’s food and had to wait for what I ordered, the waitress put it on the table and ran off so my wife tracked her down to get it fixed. Also my wife’s drink was never refilled even though it was at the edge of the table empty the whole time and we couldn’t catch the attention of a waitress so she shared mine. We can’t afford to eat out often but when we do I think we will go elsewhere.

The last few times I’ve been there the ribs were dry and chewy, not like the ol’days. They must have changed their recipe. Also the music was WAY to loud. I ask if they could turn it down and they said it was turned down as low a possible.(Sorry, don’t believe you.) I know they have to have the music, but, that loud? Won’t be back.

The last two times I’ve gotten ribs at Famous Dave’s I was highly disappointed. They were much tougher than they have been in the past. To me, it didn’t look like the membrane had been scored before smoking and it made them tough. I’ll be hesitant to order ribs in the future, but overall Dave’s still has really good food. I dropped it down to 3 stars because I think a BBQ joint should have great ribs.

Really good ribs tonight! Best we’ve had here in a while now. Compliments to the«pit crew» they did a fantastic job. Jenn our server was excellent. We’ll be coming back more frequently now.

VERY mediocre and hella overpriced. Service was okay, nothing special. I got a beer and asked my waiter to bring me a water with it. Got my beer, but had to ask him 2 times more to bring me a water. It was 4 pm on a friday and they werent busy, but somehow he couldnt remember. I ordered the ribs and brisket combo with mashed potatoes and corn as my sides. Ribs were not good. Each rib had tons hard pieces of fat of them, and they were all slightly burned. BBQ sauce was tasty though. Brisket was delicious! Mashed potatoes were waaay over garliced. And the corn? Hot mess. I asked our waiter if it was fresh or frozen, he said fresh. I feel it had been frozen for months, it was so bland, tasteless and just awful. Long story short, probably will only return in a few months when I have a brisket craving. Mediocre at best!

Famous Dave’s is always consistent. I love the hickory chicken sandwich and grilled pineapple steaks for a side. It’s a lot of food for the price. Don’t skip dessert, the brownie sundae is big enough for a family to share.

I looked through the ingredients of the meals to determine how to tell the chef to prepare it gluten-free. Also, was disappointed to hear the server say that anything with cheese has gluten. Need some orientation here on allergens in food. Now that I have figured out what to order and how to tell the chef to prepare it, I will be able to go back and enjoy dinner with friends who like to dine here.

Really good food. My salmon was perfect! Beer was cold. Carrie is the best server! Thanks for a wonderful dinner Carrie!

Solid BBQ place; I was told this is a chain but not a nation-wide one, it originated in MN. It has a «Friday’s» type atmosphere, it looks like a nice place to go have some beers with the guys. Food is good but did not knock my socks off. I would go again because I don’t think there are a lot of excellent choices in the area.

Good Food As Always! You can’t really go wrong with Famous Daves. I had the Devil’s Spit Burger this time around and it was delish. Service was cool but it was not busy at all. It was literally my family and a middle-aged couple in the whole place and that was it. Brother did complain about the Brisket(said it did not taste fresh to him) and I also tried some of my moms rib tips which were pretty good as well. Bottom line can’t go wrong with this place if you like BBQ. Give it a whirl it is what it is as far as chains go. Cheers folks!!!

Always get more than I can eat, and everything always tastes good, not the best BBQ in town, but still worth going there.

This place is pricey for what you get. Only one type of bbq’d sauce and not all that great, like the sauce one buys at s grocery store.

I gotta say I’m a little confused by the other reviews, I totally enjoy The BBQ here, if you know you’re in the mood for BBQ, but you’re not sure if you want, sweet, spicy, or tangy BBQ, don’t worry, Dave has you covered, I tend to do a little custom mix and matching of the sauces to get it just right for whatever my taste buds are in the mood for that day. I’ve eaten here quite a few times, I’ve never had poor service, and I’ve never had food served under or over cooked, the meats’ I’ve eaten have never been dry, the cooking, food, and service are very consistent. Yes it is a franchise restaurant,…a regional one. Famous Dave’s has won over 300 awards alone for their BBQ ribs. Don’t miss out on the side dishes, the corn on the cob, and shack fries are some of my favorites. But my absolute favorite is the Mac N Cheese, I think it’s the best I’ve had period, not all restaurants carry it, because it has to be made fresh every day. Its worth noting they have some great deals at lunch, $ 6-$ 8 meals, hard to beat when you consider a combo meal at a fast food joint will cost you 6 – 7 bucks.

I give it 3 stars because it has room service rates and the food is passable. All the barbecue is either dry or too sauced up. The wings have a nice spice but the sauce is too sweet. The people are nice and the portions are decent but a lot of their sides leave a lot to be desired. I guess what I’m trying to say is this is OK in a pinch but if you know of any better barbecue then go there. And let me know while you’re at it. I promise I wont follow you.

We go here for lunch most weeks, it’s pricey for what it is, not a huge fan.

When on the road I try not to eat at corporate restaurants, I did not know this was a franchise chain until we were seated. The room is filled with old signs trying to look like a southern BBQ restaurant. The food was OK the service great. This is just not great BBQ, I sure it comes prepackaged and reheated in the restaurant.
