I’ve been looking for a place like this in the area. A place to hang out with friend that had a laid-back, yet classy ambiance. First off, the best news of the night was the fact that they give two FREE, generous pours of wines/drinks of your choice when you first sit down. That in itself, is enough to keep me coming back. Upon that though, they offer an array of unique wines and hard ciders that I have never heard of or have run into — and I’ve been to Napa three times! I’m unsure if wines like Strawberry wine or Pomegranate wine are common in Michigan, but they certainly aren’t common in wineries in California. Being that I’m a huge country music fan and I’m quite fond of the song Strawberry wine, I had to indulge in it for one of my free tastings. It went above and beyond what I would expect in a wine — and I left with a bottle for a very reasonable price(I think it was $ 12.99?). I had to drive myself home, so I didn’t get to try more wine, but I should note that a glass of wine was well-priced(~$ 5 – 7 on average, and they fill it to the brim of the glass), and a flight of four tasting pours is $ 7.50. What a steal. There are some food options available as well, there are different flavors of popcorn available, and a number of options of cheese and crackers on the menu. The cheese platter was delicious — comes with a good volume of crackers with four different types of cheeses — $ 8. I’d say this is a bit more than I’d expect for what was offered in this case. I’m definitely coming back again. Great service, great atmosphere, great food and wine! What more do you need?! Tip: Weekends seem to get a bit busy, so calling in for a reservation may not be a bad idea, especially if you have a larger group.

Fieldstone is pretty good. It’s a quaint, neat little place. It always seems to be dead when I go in… which is mostly happy hour time, and in the winter… service a little slow… The proprietors are always really friendly. so I don’t know why, I just don’t LOVE this place… I dunno. We did the wine stomp one year, that was fun, packed, and they had a food truck. My friends are all crazy for their wine, but I’m just like… iiihhhh…okay… The really good wines are really expensive($ 26.99 at bottle!!!) and their more budget friendly wines($ 9.99) are okay in taste… they kind of taste like Kool-Aid to me… not really full bodied — and I can get a great bottle of Gnarly Head for less than $ 9.99… It’s definitely not my first choice.

Stopped in during the Kris Kringle Market at downtown Rochester. It was around 5pm or so and the place wasn’t too busy. Some people were sitting and the bar was open. The host said that you get two free pours to try and then you can sit and enjoy a drink at a table. We tasted the hard ciders that were delicious and tried the mulled port wine. The hard ciders were delicious, but the mulled port wine was pretty strong, but still yummy. They hard light food available and the interior is warm and inviting. Single stall bathrooms, not too shabby either. Definitely pop in the next time you are walking around downtown Rochester.

My friends, family, boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE fieldstone! It is our go to place! In the winter/fall we love the mulled wine, and the wine slushies are perfect for summer! The service is always perfect, and the wine is delicious. You always get 2 tastes for free(quite generous pours) and the happy hour specials are fantastic! We love this place

During the wedding planning process, my husband and I were able to come here and see if we wanted wine as favors for our guests! It’s a little pricey, but such a nice gesture. We ordered a cheese tray and tried many types of wine. We had such a great time with the bartender! Very attentive. We left with 2 bottles of wine. Couldn’t resist!

I’m a big fan of Fieldstone’s wines. I can’t decide which is my favorite because they have so many good ones but I really enjoy the Rochester Red and the Pomegranate Zin. The inside is cute if your in the mood to hang out they have tables and a small bar. They allow you to sample wines or you can get a flight. I believe they still offer $ 2 off a bottle of wine when you purchase a flight. They also sell some misc items like wine bottle holders, cork screws, glasses etc.

I rarely write bad reviews but my experience tonight really disappointed and frustrated me. I attended a Meetup here and service was horribly slow. My boyfriend and I were ready for refills after more than 45 min had passed since our first round. Our server was on break and the owner came to the table next to ours. I caught his attention by raising my hand high and he looked me right in the eye and turned around. He went to the counter nearby and I waved my hand again and was ignored. Five minutes later he asked the two tables next to ours(all the while facing me) and asked if they were okay. He then turned around for a third time and I said, «Excuse me», pretty loudly to get his attention(it was not crowded). Still snubbed. Finally our friend had to walk up to the bar and get our server who was back from break and said the owner’s son is usually the one who’s rude to customers. Well, the owner is oblivious to modeling great customer service so I can see where his son gets it from. The wine itself was Michigan wine: very sweet. Prices are decent but this isn’t premium wine. You might as well pick up a wine cooler six pack for the same price from the local Meijer.

The service is excellent and the wine is even better! I recently had an unfortunate batch of wine,(air had somehow entered three of the bottles), which surprised me, since I have tried all of their wines and have never been disappointed. I spoke to the owner and he was gracious enough to replace them. We had a wonderful evening.

This is by far the best date night/drinking place in downtown Rochester. Great atmosphere, knowledgable staff, awesome wine. Get the motor city red and the cheese tray, and ask for Ryan!

Stopped in a few weeks ago when we were out trying new places one day. I never knew this place was here and just happened to see it while driving by. I was glad they had later summer hours during the week so I was able to stop in. It was our first visit so we were treated to two free samples which was nice. Then you can try others for $ 5-$ 10. The people who own it are great and the man helping us was very knowledgeable. The wines were good but most were a little on the sweet side for my liking. If you like slushes they have them. Not those 7 – 11 types but wine slushes of course. Unfortunately the night we were in the machine was down. The menu also has some small appetizer type foods such as cheeses etc if you’re in the mood for a little snack with your wine. I do wish they were open later though.

Stopped in on a Thursday night last December for a drink or two with the boyfriend. We decided to seat ourselves at the little bar in the back, and were really pleased with how attentive and interested our server/bartender was. This is a family-owned joint, and they really care about what they do. Although the wine list is VERY heavy on the sweet wines, in which I want no part, they did have some decent pours of dry reds. We felt a little out of place by not liking raspberry peach wine, but luckily the server/bartender understood and didn’t try to push us toward it at all. Overall, we had a great time chatting with each other and with our bartender, and were serviced extremely well. This small joint cannot hold all of the charm that it exudes, and I really hope they continue to do well. I love their selection of wine-themed gifts, and their services to personalize wine labels! A great gift or wedding idea. Would definitely recommend stopping in if you enjoy any kind of wine!

Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, excellent wine. We enjoy going to Fieldstone for the variety of locally made wine. If you are in the area on a hot summer day, stop by and try a wine slushie.

Went with coworkers to unwind after work. The wines were all delicious and affordable. It was happy hour so everything was half off. After a few tastes and a glass I had only spent two dollars! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

My friends and I stopped in here on our little walk through town. They give you two free tastings and they you can decide if you want to purchase more. The guys working were all friendly and helpful. My friends opted for the tasting and we ordered a cheese platter. The place quickly filled up on a Saturday afternoon and we enjoyed ourselves sitting at the bar. You can currently get ½ off a glass if you check into selected social media sites and tag the winery in a picture. An obvious no brainer! Definitely worth a stop on your tour of Main St.
