I grew up learning music and dance at Hochstein. I was a student here from the age of 4 until I graduated high school at 17. I ran the halls between clarinet, piano, and voice lessons, and between youth symphony practices. It is an amazing place, and affordable for families who want there children to explore the joy of music. I now live in NYC, and wish there was a school like this where I live. If you know of one, let me know!

Rochester, NY
Hochstein is a local landmark and treasure. They offer instruction in music and dance to people of diverse ages, abilities, and backgrounds. They are also a fantastic concert hall that’s more intimate than the Eastman Theatre but very much steeped in tradition. The old brick building on Plymouth at Main anchors the west end of downtown Rochester.
