Great suite hotel, its new and clean, & the room us spacious. It is across from St Marys hospital which makes it very convenient for my husband procedure. The staff here is phenomenal, very nice and accommodating with whatever you need, especially JJ, he will just do everything he can to make you feel welcome and home. Thank you, we will need to come Back in 2 weeks for another procedure and we will chose this hotel again& again. Great job !!!

I stayed at the Homewood Suites from January 30-March 5, 2016. I chose the hotel after reading all of the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. The location, facilities, and especially the staff exceeded my expectations. Prior to my husband’s discharge from St. Mary’s Hospital(just across the street from the Homewood Suites), I stayed in a King studio. It was quiet and comfortable. I appreciated being on the sixth floor. The hotel’s sole laundry room is on that level. Breakfast was very good. I stayed away from the cooked food as it tended to be higher in fat than I’m used to. The abundant fruit salad, grapefruit segments, cereals, toast, and peanut butter worked for me. There is also a waffle maker with waffly trimmings. I didn’t go to many of the«socials,» which are really light dinners that are served from 5 to 7 pm. Once my husband was discharged we moved to a room with two queen-sized beds, a living room, and a kitchenette. Again, it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I specifically wanted to stay at a place with a kitchen. My husband had heart surgery with a three week inpatient stay after the operation. I knew I would enjoy some home-cooked meals. The kitchens in all of the rooms have a two-burner electric stovetop, a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. There are a few pots and pans and enough plates, glasses, mugs, and silverware for a few meals for one or two people. I bought a slow cooker and made good use of the kitchen area. Once my husband was discharged, I cooked almost every meal we ate for the two weeks we stayed after his surgery. I have to say that, even though the hotel itself was perfect, the staff is the highlight of the Homewood Suites. This small group of caring people are clearly devoted to taking care of people with special needs as a result of their medical conditions. Each staff member went out of their way to offer help and support in any manner of ways. I cannot say how much I appreciated their warmth and helpfulness.

I stayed here for a few days during a visit to the Mayo and could not have been happier. It’s more like an extension of the clinic than a hotel. The service was beyond helpful — whatever you need, they will do their best to help you out. Everyone was so friendly and they really take their time with every guest and get to know you. The breakfast and dinner they offer was outstanding as well.(breakfast daily, dinner Mon-Thurs.) The food was very tasty and they mix it up so there is a good variety, but still keep many things consistent so you can plan accordingly if you have any dietary concerns. The seating area was comfortable and spacious but you can also take food up to your room if you prefer. We stayed in a suite so we had a living room and small kitchen. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The kitchen even had a dishwasher, which is something you don’t usually see in a hotel kitchen. It really felt like a little apartment. It was so easy to feel at home here. Their exceptional service was very much appreciated during our visit. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Rochester.

Quite a nice spot I have to say. I’d go 5 stars if the building was actually attached to the Mayo Clinic subway system cuz let’s face it folks… No one comes here for vacation. The room was spacious and outfitted with a mini kitchen, including cooking implements and a dishwasher. The«living room» was a couch and chair, but the couch did convert into a bed. Not super comfy, but fine in a pinch. The linens throughout were fine and while you don’t get the luxury down comforter you might get at more upscale Hilton properties, I was comfy. Winter might be different. Breakfast was the same as you’d get at a Hampton Inn, but it is free and a heck of a lot better than McDs across the street. I took the shuttle over to the main clinic building– which is free and runs every hour during the day. Easy. I will say I missed being attached to the clinic and also the Starbucks, but this location is a really nice spot– and still very walk-able to many nice Rochester hotspots.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel and have a superior service. The room was brand-new and we were the first guest to stay in it. It turns out the TV remote control did not work so the person on duty, Nancy graciously switched rooms for us and even help move our belongings. The entire staff was very friendly and eager to help in anyway that they could. I was so impressed with the staff and especially Nancy that I went and bought a special thank you card and put a gift of money in it for her. I have never done there at any hotel stay. The parking ramp is a bit confusing at first but once you figure it out it is very convenient. One other thing, there is a free shuttle to the clinic and it runs on time which helped us get to our appointments on time and not have to worry about parking. I highly recommend this hotel for cleanliness, courteous, and the free breakfast and evening meal is a nice bonus.
