Great food! Five of us ate here tonight and every dish was delicious. I didn’t write down the names of the dishes, so I can’t name them all. We shared tastes of every meal. Three of us ordered chicken dishes. One was a recipe from Goa.(We only knew because we googled it.) The other two were Chicken Jalfrezi and Chicken Makhani. Two of us ordered lamb, one was a mild Lamb Korma, and the other was very spicy. I ordered Aloo Gobi. That’s one of my favorite Indian dishes and this place made it as good as the best. The Poori was a bit greasy, the Garlic Naan got good reviews from the table.

The food was amazing! It was so rich and so filling. It was such a treat! The service was amazing too. Our server was very accommodating to our table and dietary needs. Very personable too! The only thing they need to work on is the cleanliness of their dishes. Maybe the dish soap leaves the glasses and utensils cloudy. Regardless, we will be back for more!

Great Indian food in Irondequoit! This is run by the same owners as the India House downtown. The quality of the food is excellent. The naan stuffed with onions(kulcha) was delicious. They have lots of vegetarian options as well as meat dishes too. Wait staff is friendly & attentive. Chai tea is authentic and spiced just right. We have been here many times & plan to go again soon.

They use instant rice! Horrible parboiled rice. Chicken muglai was completely different than other locations. They are using jar sauce. For better food good Indian go to Raj mahal or thali. This dinner was horrible! So disappointed.

Umm… no. Just had a terrible dinner at India House East Ridge and definitely will NOT be going back. How anyone can think this is quality Indian food is beyond me! The meal started with a complimentary basket of poppadum(crispy wafers) and dips. The poppadum were literally dripping in grease — it was running off them in rivulets and there was a puddle of oil in the bottom of the basket. The dips were fine, but no better nor worse than other places. We shared a vegetarian appetizer platter which was very good — the onion bhaji and samosas were very well seasoned and crisply delicious. I ordered a paneer dish that was new to me: Kumbh Rattan(described as «Mushrooms and cubes of paneer sautéed with onions, tomatoes, and spices in a mild curry sauce»). It tasted just like Campbell’s Tomato soup with chunks of mozzarella and green pepper in it. I couldn’t find any mushrooms, nor could I find any semblance of Indian spices or flavor. I left ¾ of the dish in the bowl. My husband had Lamb Vindaloo which he said was, «Fine, but it wasn’t a vindaloo — it was just a plain lamb curry.» Our Indian chopped salad was fresh but lacking in acid — it needed a good squeeze of lemon or lime, and my masala chai was lukewarm. To be fair, the raita was delicious. The service was slow and inattentive(considering that after 10 minutes we were the only customers in the place) and the dining area was freezing cold. I really wanted that chai to be boiling hot! We have eaten at India House on Clinton and in Victor and been dissatisfied in both locations. For the life of me I can’t think why we would think the Irondequoit location would be any better. It isn’t. Avoid and pray for Dhaba(formerly in Webster) to reopen!

I was happily surprised to find that this excellent Indian restaurant I love eating at on South Clinton Avenue now had a restaurant in lrondequoit! I ordered the vegetarian chickpeas dish. The dish was perfectly seasoned and the portion was enough for several meals. I’m still enjoyibg the leftovers! I also got the appetizer called Chicken Seekh Kabob. It was a bit spicy, but the mix of flavors was so pleasing to my palate that I ate more than I should have. The portion was again enough for a full meal. The whole meal came with a very generous plateful of moist and very tasty rice. I ordered takeout, but the restaurant had a very pleasant atmosphere and I plan on eating in for my next visit. I highly recommend going.
