I came here on a Friday night, and I’ll admit that I was a little wary at first because of the location. But once I got here, found there was absolutely nothing to worry about and was actually pleasantly surprised when I walked in The place is huge, way bigger than expected when looking at it from the outside. One thing I really liked was the lighting. It had sort of a cozy glow about it, not too bright but not so dark that you’re unable to see the person you’re talking to. There’s lots of seating, bar and tables. Everything inside looked really well taken care of, and they keep the place really clean. For entertainment, lots of TVs, a couple of dartboards, and a jukebox. Oh, and all of the free popcorn you can eat(always a good thing). Drink prices were on par with other bars in the area, and they did have some specials written on a chalkboard that as hanging on the wall. It was a slower night when I was there, but they still had a pretty good crowd. The bartender was pretty friendly and seemed to have a good repertoire with some of the regulars. They also had a promo going on where free samples of Tullamore Dew were being offered to customers(who doesn’t love free booze) and any drinks with that in it were on special. All in all, it was a good experience and I’m glad I got the chance to try out a new bar.

This is a newly renovated establishment on Lyell ave. Unfortunately the surrounding area is not soo pleasant. Private parking lot, a plus. When you walk in you are surprised by how big this place actually is. Long bar, lots of high top table and chairs, and dart boards. Also, there is a side door that takes you to a deck/patio with picnic benches for the smokers. Also, I’d like to note that they had the widest music selection playing. We’re talking a mix of random songs and genres: Think, Pink Floyd, then throw in some r&b, and follow it up with a country song– Repeat. Before I arrived I logged into my trusty Unilocal app to read up about this place. I found 2 flagged reviews. One review mentions«great drink specials» so I made sure to ask the bartender what was on special. She replied, «We don’t ever do drink specials.» I must of made a puzzled look because she then followed up by saying, because our drink prices are soo low. Personally I would not call them low, or «soo low», but rather average. I’ve heard from some friends that this location has changed hands and name several times over the years. From what they said, seems like every 6 – 12 months. Honestly, I really don’t have much more to comment on(at this time).
