I’ll have to tell you, the service here isn’t great. It also seems as if they aren’t doing anything about it since I’ve read other reviews about the same type of service. Walking in, I was greeted by two hosts. One was texting away on her phone while the other day my group. It’s about 8pm and completely dead. On the dining room side, we were the only people and the bar side had about 6 people and a bar dart league. The waitress took our drink orders and I assumed it would be a quick look in and out dinner tonight but I was wrong. 10 minutes for three cocktails. I did a little fake bathroom run just to see where our server was. Well she was chatting up a storm with the people on the bar side. Very unprofessional. Came out if the bathroom, which was very clean BTW, and finally saw her at the bar giving the bartender our order. Onto the food. We ordered the wings. They are voted the best wings in Rochester and I’ll give it to them… They are amazing. That contributes to their two star rating tonight. But it all ended there. My friends and I chow down our dozen wings and were not checked in on the whole dinner. We were done for a good ten minutes before she came by with our check and basically just dropped it off as she went by. Did a bathroom run to wash my hands and she’s there chatting up again with the barside people. We originally wanted to go to the bar side of the restaurant but this experience turned us completely off. Won’t be coming back for a while. Summing things up, great wings. Horrible service. Maybe that’s why the attendance through this place has decreased dramatically.

I’ve been to Jeremiah’s many times. It’s not fantastic but it’s consistent. I know it’s a quick, easy place to pop in to and grab a decent beer and decent food. Last night(Monday night) we arrived around 8:30. There was a dart league going on so the bar area appeared more busy than it actually was. However, there weren’t any booths available in the bar area so we decided to sit at the high top in the middle of the bar. The hostess sat us and there we sat for about 15 minutes. A booth opened up so we moved over to the booth hoping that we would get the attention of a server. After about 5 minutes, my BF went over to the bar to ask if we could get a server. Just as he sat back down, a server came over. When I placed my order, the server informed us that they stop doing the full menu at 8pm. They only do fried food after 8pm. Seriously??? If fried food is my only option, then why did they hand me a full menu? If they handed me a «fried food only» menu when I sat down, I would have left 20 minutes ago! So disappointed. Jeremiah’s needs a tune up!

Ok… It’s rare I give such a LOWSCORE… But let’s just say everything I ate came out… We shared all a plate of Nachos, all had a glass of water, I had a beer, so did my friend and my other friend had a glass of wine. It took forever to make up the nachos? Why? Covered in cheese, not much of tomatoes, olives, lots of jalapeño’s covered sides of sour cream, salsa and guacamole. The chips were tasty but it was all just piled on and tossed under the salamander. Thing is we had one server who took care of the drinks?! I think she may have had a cold not sure, than we had to ask someone passing by if we could get drinks and the Nachos. It all seemed ok, but it was a WEDNESDAY at 6:05pm not a rocking weekend night why the hold up. We came here since we all went to a movie at Tinseltown across the way… After the movie I came home any my system said NO!!! So… I WILLSAYNO… Don’t eat those Nachos… Beer pulled from the tap is luke warm at best… I WILLNEVER, EVERBEBACK.

Food and service was great for lunch. My husband, daughter(23 months) and I went after a day out. Where it loses points is that THEREISNOCHANGINGTABLE! Not one… anywhere! I don’t understand how you can have high chairs for little ones and then not think, «hey maybe this kid could need a diaper change during the time they are here». This is my biggest pet peeve ever. Please, make this change for all the parents out there!

Just ordered a few Stella’s … Which is one of my favorite beers. The service is terrible and the beer taste like complete s$@t. It taste as if they have washed the glasses in muddy water and keep the beer outside in open jugs with no lids. Feel so bad for this place don’t even want my money back. I think the urinal is directly connected to the dishwasher.

Tuesday night — 10 people in the whole place — more«workers»(oxymoronic statement) than guests. Hostess — truly great woman — seats us and says waitress will be right over… 10 minutes later we went to bar and waitress says” I was just gonna come over there”. Wow! Got our own drink and waited another 15⁄20 min and had to flag down the hostess! Seriously — too many staff chatting amongst themselves. Kindly asked for bill and waitress gave at least 4 excuses in 1 breath(and none of them had anything to do with her privileged lazy butt) as to why we weren’t served. One«I am sorry — let me fix this» would have done the trick. But no! Her manager bought our drinks! That manager us a fool! Seriously sad! Plenty of other places to eat in this town — heading to one now! Won’t be coming back.

Simply put… I just went to the Jeramiah’s Tavern in Gates for the last time. Service has been a disaster since the last GM «Jim» left weeks back. Had to leave during the first quarter of Monday night football just to be able to order wings and a beer across the street. poor bartender was on her own while the other staff screwed around. Too bad — went there for weeks.

Went there tonight on a date night with my lovely bride. We were looking for great chicken wings. found them! Our first time there and definitely won’t be the last. Had an order of their bee sting wing and an order of flyin Hawaiian. Yum for both and cooked perfectly. We also split the Three Cheese Florentine flatbread pizza… so good! Our server, Melissa, was outstanding. Request her if you go :)

My wife wanted some chicken wings, and we were near Jeremiah’s, famous for their wings, so we stopped for lunch. We soon discovered that the menu offered more than your normal sports bar fare. There were a lot of choices, so my wife ordered a Reuben sandwich, and I opted for the Friday Fish Fry. We decided to have a small order of wings as a starter. They were prepared perfectly, with a nice spicy hot sauce. My wife’s Reuben came with some really tasty curly fries. She enjoyed her sandwich, and said it would be worth ordering again. My Fish Fry was nice and crispy, with an ample serving of fish and fries. My food was nice and crispy, but it seemed to get cold quickly. As it cooled, it became«rubbery» and difficult to eat. In all honesty, I think this was my problem. The cole slaw that accompanied my meal was tasty too. Overall, the meal was good, but considering the price, we weren’t «wowed». However, we will return for what they’re famous for… wings. Jeremiah’s is a cozy sports bar, that serves good, substantial sports bar food. It’s well worth the stop, but bring your thick wallet. Service was quick and polite. It’s better than average, with a sports bar atmosphere. Go, check out the wings and a beer while you enjoy a game of some kind.

I was surprised by the poor reviews here because of the two positive experiences I have had with this restaurant. My most recent experience happened a week ago on a Friday night for dinner. I was with two friends at another restaurant that had too long of a wait so we went to Jeremiah’s instead. After a 20 minute wait, we were seated in the dining room and a server took our drink order quickly — Nice selection of local brews, except they don’t carry all of Rorhbach’s beers. The fish fries and wings that we ordered turned out great, but before the food came out my friend had to leave for a family emergency. My remaining friend and I enjoyed our meal while the server boxed up our friend’s meal who left. The fish fry was tender and not overlooked — delicious combination with the pint of Guinness I ordered. The service was quick and attentive — our server checked in several times on how everything was and topped off waters frequently. When we left, I forgot to grab the boxed food for my friend and only realized after leaving. A short call to the restaurant and they had saved the food for us — very appreciated. Overall, my experience was great. It gets 4 stars for limited parking, but we found out there is more parking at the church up the street and Jeremiah’s provides a free shuttle service. I am also concerned about why so many people have seemed to get a bad experience, but would still encourage you to check this place out so you can be the judge.

Just ate lunch there 1PM on Friday. Dining room virtually empty. Our dining experience was horrible. Their famous chicken wings — five were way underdone, five were way overdone. Nachos totally stale. Second drink never arrived. Manager pleasant, but — it was like it was the entire staff’s first day. Kitchen extremely slow to produce bad food! Other tables seemed to be unhappy also. They have a ton of competition in the area. Owners might want to rethink why very few customers are going there, and take corrective action!

2.5 stars Good sports bar, crispy fries, decent wings, fast service. Have only been to this location once, but I’m quite surprised by the poor reviews. My expectations of the place were decidedly low — we went for the convenience of being near Tinseltown and wanting something very casual — and the place delivered. Managed to catch a World Cup match on multiple HUGETV screens as well. It was a busy Friday night and we were seated fairly quickly and our server was very efficient. Wouldn’t consider this place highly original or noteworthy, but would go back again for a pub food fix and to watch a game.

I’ve been to both locations many, many times w/an ok experience. Last week I stopped in for a quick bite. The dining room was sparse, so it seemed we shouldn’t have to wait long. Unfortnately that wasn’t the case at all. We ordered an order of wings and fish tacos. Well, it was about a 45 min wait for our food. In the meantime, I decided to also order a side of tater tots(the waitress didn’t know how much they cost, but that’s beside the point). The tater tots came out not even 3 min later, to my surprise. The tater tots were cold?! Not sure how that happens when they are fresh out of the kitchen and I had just ordered them. The waitress kept saying our meal would be right out any minute. Like I said, it turned into a 45 minute wait! When it finally came, the waitress did offer to pay for our round of drinks as she said something about the fish taco order not getting in. Not sure how that happens when the dining room was empty. One last point, the fish tacos came with coleslaw. I took one taste of it and had to spit it out in my napkin. I believe it was rancid, or it at least went bad. It was all around a bad experience. 45 min wait for a simple meal on a slow night, cold food and spoiled food? Not sure what’s happeded to Jeremiah’s, but I’m not going back for food.

We went in to Jeremiah’s on Father’s Day and were seated by the bar. No one came to take our drink order or even bothered to check on us in the 20 minutes we were seated there. At the bar there were 3 workers and a waitress cleaning up, tired of waiting after fifteen minutes of not even being given water, I tried to wave her over only to have her look at me and my boyfriend twice before going back to the bar and talk loudly about how it wasn’t her table. The other workers standing at the bar also ignored us. We left after all this waiting. Great customer service Jeremiah’s!

This was the worst dining experience I have had in a very long time! I actually had to speak with a manager it was so bad, and I still felt like my issues were unresolved. I won’t be returning. Here’s my story: After I was initially seated(not in the bar area, mind you), I waited about 5 or more minutes before anyone came by my table to greet me and take my drink order. There were only two other tables in my area of the restaurant, and it was about 3:00 on a Saturday afternoon, so the restaurant was not busy at all. After my server, Debbie S., took my order, she went to another table where a fellow employee was rolling silverware, and schmoozed for a few minutes before putting my order into the kitchen. That was annoying to the say the least. I ordered a beer, a glass of water, a wrap, and a salad. The food was fine – nothing especially great, but it is a bar, so you know not to expect anything outstanding. It was the service that left much to be desired. Not once throughout my entire visit did Debbie come by and ask if my food was OK. I admit she asked me if I was OK once during my visit, but that was when I was already pretty much finished with my meal. Also, I was wanting a refill on my beer about halfway through, but Debbie never came by my table, so I didn’t get a chance to order another. What was worse was when a young man saw my beer glass empty, stuck another table’s dirty glass inside of it, slid them across my table, and then took them away to be washed. Yuck! Don’t put someone else’s dirty dishes on my table while I am eating! Moreover, not long after receiving my entrée, I emptied my water glass and not one person asked me if I needed a refill. Someone would walk by my table every couple of minutes, but no one took notice of me. I was eating a buffalo chicken wrap, and I couldn’t even finish eating my meal because I waited 20 minutes for a water refill that never came. So, I asked for a to go box. Five minutes pass and nothing. Another five minutes pass and Debbie runs by my table and asks me if I need a to go box.(!) What really bothered me, however, was the constant schmoozing that went on among the employees instead of taking care of their tables AND the smack talking that went on «behind the scenes.» The restaurant was almost empty and the employees were complaining about their customers as if we couldn’t hear every word they said. Oh, but we could. My tip for Debbie was cut in half the moment I heard her say something disparaging about her customers that were sitting two tables behind me. And those customers heard her too! I heard one of them even comment about Deb’s smack. Moreover, at one point, one of the employees even said, «We better be careful about our language. You know, they can probably hear us back here.» Yes, hon, we can hear you loud and clear! This resulted in me asking to speak to a manager before I left. I promptly told him that this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time but the worst of it was the employees talking bad about their customers. He seemed distraught about that, but somehow neglected to ask me what caused my experience to be so bad.

This was far and away the WORST dining experience I’ve had this year or last to include inner city McDonalds… Friday Fish fry for my wife and I came out so well done that the last 5 inches of each were completely inedible; battered jerky. I couldn’t even cut it with a fork. I COULDNTCUTFISHWITH A FORK!!! There was one other table in the dining room beside my wife and I. The service would have been tolerable if every table had seated customers. It was abysmal for how many people are over here. Our last time coming here.

You know Jeremiah’s is typical pub fare so it’s not nothing to rave about. However what it lacks in food it makes up for in booze and entertainment! I will never be one to complain about $ 1.00 micro brews! Brooklyn and Saranac to be exact! I love the beer specials here! Incredible! Even on Fridays and Saturdays! Live local music. Stop on in for cheap quality brews and music and enjoy the show.
