I went on Sunday to get highlights and she missed two spots in the back of my hair and they didn’t even offer to fix it. Second is that they charged me 140 for highlights. They didn’t charge me correctly they charge me for a color and cut. They said they would refund me and they still have yet to do so, so I called my bank to dispute the 50 that I was over charged.

DONOTGETEYELASHEXTENSIONSHERE. Horrible, horrible job, and obviously inexperienced and using substandard lashes. She glued 1 extension to several of my natural lashes. They look beyond awful, like clumpy mascara. Impatiently waiting for them to fall out… still have a ways to go and it’s been over 8 weeks. Thanks for nothing. I will NEVER go back there.

In response to Julie C. I am disappointed that you did not love your experience as I strive to exceed my client’s expectations. You stated«I have terrible acne» I would be remiss not to offer a facial that would provide you with excellent results; an added enzyme peel(which is not too agressive) would accomplish this. I certainly understand the financial burden of being a college student, however, I would never presume that you could not afford skin care products, that would be discrimination. An Esthetician provides professional skin care advice. It is my job to educate and make recommendations so that you can eliminate your acne at home on a daily basis. I say this sincerely, «my goal was to help you». As for the owner saying it is not our way of doing business. Yes, we were required to upsell, in fact our very jobs depended on it. She was correct about one thing, I am no longer there; because I Resigned.

I have had waxing done here, as well as a haircut and a facial. The only think I recommend coming here for is waxing. My haircut was not worth $ 50($ 60 with a tip). I showed Julia a picture and then compared my hair to it after my haircut and it was not the same. I just wanted layers. But she did not do them the way they looked in the photo I showed her. Shelly does good waxing. That’s why I requested to have my facial with her. However, I had my facial with her and it was not a good experience. Right off the bat, she somehow talked me into adding on a $ 15 enzyme peel. She was being really pushy, making me feel like I didn’t have a choice. Mind you, I’m a college student and just wanted to get a facial because I was having terrible acne, I didn’t want anything too expensive, I just wanted a normal facial. But the whole time she was just telling me about their products. She practically forced me to buy stuff. She told me about acne pads, face washes and moisturizers and seriously expected me to buy all of it, even though EACH of those things is over $ 30. She even said«you definitely want the… «and waited for me to finish the sentence. Um, no, I never said I «definitely» wanted anything. But, because she was being so adamant, I bought the stupid $ 33 acne pads. So the facial was $ 80, but with the(forced) add on of the peel and the pads, plus tip, it was about $ 150. Also, she started popping my pimples before I really made up my mind about that. She asked if I wanted her to do extractions and I told her not to do any on my nose. She proceeded to start doing them on my forehead before I mentioned whether I was comfortable with that or not. The extractions were pretty painful. She put stuff on my face that gave my skin a burning sensation. She didn’t say anything, so I asked if that was normal and she said yes. Okay then, how about telling me that it’s supposed to feel that way?! Shelly might have well have said«let me tell you about my commission!» She even said she was going to relax me and then proceeded to do the opposite. Basically, don’t come here for facials or haircuts.

why is there a man at the front desk? you should consider you clients’ comfort… people come here for some very personal services and you’re likely losing a lot of customers who don’t feel comfortable making certain appointments with a man…

Went here for a hair cut and color. The place is very clean and my stylist Mary is great. She is very professional and talented. She was very informative and sweet. My hair came out great. It is a bit pricier than other hair salons I visited around the area considering that my hair is at shoulder length. Overall, I will return to try other services as well.

My girlfriend and I decided to save up some money and do our first ever spa day. i called and talked to a woman who I informed exactly what we wanted and that we were doing everything together and since it woulld be an entire day, do they provide lunch? I was informed they do not provide lunch but we could bring ours and they would refrigerate it for us. I asked then to make sure time was built into the schedule for us to eat. It was a very rushed day and Iwas not comforatable with it. The women who provided services were excellent, other than my massues having cold hands, the music cutting in and out, it went really well. Overhead a conversation with staff members that said the owners daughter was coming in with a party and everyone should finish up quickly. I checked out and paid my bill to the tune of $ 305.00 not including tips. I came home and sent an email outlining my problems with the day to Luxe. Over a week later I received a call from the owner at my home. She was questioning me about her staff. She could care less about my complaint. She did not apoligize at all. She at the end of our conversation offered a free pedicure. I told her to send the offer to my email and that was it. Three hundred dollars later I still have rough feet, and a sense of great dissatisfication. I will not be spending my hard earned money there again. If anyone has a recommendation for a pedicure and massage, please reply. Thanks

Did not have a great massage experience. Waiting area and massage room were cold. Walking around in a robe and sandals, and then being naked on a table, I was very cold. The massage therapist put the pillow thing too low(under my calves instead of my knees) and the circulation to me feet was cut off. I mentioned it to her, but she didn’t readjust it. I booked an 80 minute massage, but checked the clock in the room and it was only a 66 minute massage. I mentioned this to the massage therapist and she said, «I clocked it at 70 minutes. The clock in there is fast.» I explained to her that I checked the same clock when I laid down and got up, so if it was fast, it would not have made a difference. She gave me a 10% discount, which I appreciated, but I will not be returning. I’m shocked she admitted she knew the massage was 10 minutes short(again it was 14 mins short), but didn’t compensate by extending the session. Maybe she had plans, and was eager to leave as I was the last appointment on a Saturday. I wonder how many people she’s jipped on time who never noticed the clock in the room.

I love this place. I have had several services here and no complaints. Work and service very consistent amongst all the providers. I have had the Keratin treatment, electrolysis, laser hair removal, waxing, blowouts, facials and massages. As you can tell by the number of services, I have the upmost confidence here. Best massages and facials in all of Monroe County. Hair services are upscale services for a modest cost. The electrolysis, laser and waxing are completed with the utmost care and patience. They really take time here to do the job right. I’m almost sorry to let the cat out of the bag so others look as good as I do after my services. Karen is the best — you rock girl!!!

I visited Lux a few years ago for the waxing services, and ended up booking an appointment for a Brazilian wax here yesterday based on their ability to get me in quickly. As others have stated, the salon itself is massive and beautiful. It has warm, dark wood, and inviting lighting that is brighter in the hair care area, and dimmer and warmer in the salon area. There are helpful signs in the parking lot that direct you to the entrance, which is in the back of the parking area(if you pull in off of Jefferson Road instead of WInton). The check in desk is off to your right when you walk in, right next to the styling stations. The gentlemen who checked me in was sweet, offering me a beverage while I waited. I luckily remembered where the waiting/seating area was, and he didn’t point me in that direction. The seating area is right outside the spa doors, and has some comfortable chairs with magazines while you wait. My esthetician, Gina, came to get me promptly at my appointment time. The waxing rooms are very serene, and my favorite part is the table — it’s heated, so you stay warm throughout the service! Such a thoughtful touch. They are very thoughtful and conservative during the wax, making sure you are covered as much as possible. I really liked that she had a gentle yet thorough touch, making sure to tweeze any errant hairs along the way while making easy conversation. After the wax, she gave me a quick tour of the spa. The checkout is in the ’boutique’ area of the salon, which was a little strange; it seemed disjointed from where you check in. The same gentleman checked me out — it’s a great deal, $ 55 plus tip for the Brazilian, and she did a great job. I’ll definitely be back to see Gina in a month!

I had come here previously and saw the Living Social deal. I had Melissa for laser hair removal, she was great.

Gorgeous interior with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. I am going for, ahem, laser hair removal, and I couldn’t be happier with my results or my aesthetician. Everyone I see leaving looks happy and those leaving the salon portion look both happy and gorgeous. I purchased a living social deal when they had it, but my aesthetician informed me at my last appointment that I could purchase«small area» treatments for the same price(3/$ 99) directly through the spa. I am not entirely sure if this is available only to those of us who began with a groupon/living social deal or if it’s available to everyone but it’s worth an ask! Regular pricing for three treatments is over $ 400!

I went here for a haircut a few months ago, and while the hair stylist was very amiable, she definitely did not cut my hair evenly. One side was longer than the other by ½ inch. The price was $ 45 for a wash, cut, and blow-dry, which is pretty normal from what I’ve experienced at other places, but if I’m going to be paying that much for a haircut, this is not the place I’d choose.

A very professional place. They have a new location and it is fully renovated and very beautiful. I bought the groupon for 3 Brazilians because it was such a great deal and for the most part, I am very satisfied. However, I feel that they are so worried about being professional and conservative, that my wax partially suffered. I am satisfied with my service but, I have had better. Overall they are very kind and professional workers who want to do their job and make their customers comfortable and happy.
