O & B Shoe

After going here a second time in less than 4 days, I have to update my rating to 5-​stars. Today we walked into what we believed to be a different shoe store, two doors down from O&B, only to find out that they are in-​fact O&B! They’re connected via a couple of side-​doors inside the stores! One side houses the Non-​athletic shoes, and the other side the athletic shoes.
After just having had a crappy experience at a shoe store located inside the ‘Subway’ of Mayo’s Gonda building, it really just enforced what a breath of fresh air the guys at O&B are. Upon entering the athletic shoe side of O&B, we were immediately assisted by a super-​sweet, energetic young guy. He was more than happy to pull several shoe styles and help us, even laughing with us at our silliness.
It wasn’t until the young man who’d helped us a few days early came strolling thru a side door that we realized they were connected, and in fact ONE store! Much to our excitement, as well — because that was gonna be our next stop — to pickup a couple pairs of shoes we’d left on hold there.
He recognized us and came in and said Hi, and (also) laughed with us as we retold our shoe-​horror-​stories. Ultimately, after spending probably 45 minutes here, we ended up each buying a pair of $ 110 Keen shoes.
It’s really these kinds of stores that give small business a good name. These kids were not on commission, were super helpful, courteous, fun, and genuine. It really made shopping there FUN — which is what lead me to come back to Unilocal and increase my rating. We were waited on by both Anthony and Dan, who are exceptional examples of what a sales-person’s attitude and charisma should entail. The stores are not the biggest or the greatest — but they carry quality merchandise, and clearly have exceptional sales-​people, which is what keeps a person like me coming back.
