Had the basic breakfast with eggs, bacon and toast. I am picky about my eggs usually they’re to dry or soggy elsewhere, but these were excellent. Good bacon with perfect crisp too. Coffee was not good, but tasted like all others in Rochester. I think my taste is different being from the west coast perhaps. Service was accommodating and kind. The bakery looked good, several giant muffins and other more adventurous menu items. I would definitely return. Sat outside it was a gorgeous morning!

We stopped there after an appointment with the Mayo Clinic which seems to be the norm for this place, each of us had the Pannekoeken, I had the Pecan one and my boyfriend had the Blueberry one and both were really good! We also got bacon with it which was done just as like we asked. The food and coffee was very good. Service was fast and efficient and if there was a place like this at home we would definitely frequent it.

They have closed all of these stores in the cities years ago. I wanted to try this place again. My wife, dad, step mom and I all went here. It was really slow. The hostess was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere is fine. We really liked the food and beverage but our waitress was horrible. I have a feeling that she was outside having snake breaks or something. She kept disappearing. After we got our food we didn’t see her. We waited a long time to get our bill and finally got up and asked someone else for our bill. I would go back for the food and stay away from our 40+ blonde waitress that didn’t want to work that day.

Boring Bland Unsalted Unflavored Mediocre Expensive Disappointing If I don’t have culinary training and I can make a burger 20x more flavorful, so why is this place bad? It’s not hard to make a tasty burger. Also, why did the fries not have ANY salt on them?

We were looking for a place to get a quick bite between appointments and we came across this cute place. We decided to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. I informed our server of my Gluten allergy and she was quick to find out what exactly I could and could not eat. Let’s just say they went above and beyond to make sure there wasn’t any gluten in my food and they even customized making me some gluten free french toast with some gluten free bread they had. It was delicious! This place is getting 5 stars because of the great customer service they provided and because of the fact that they cared enough about my allergies to make sure I was able to enjoy a good breakfast without being scared of getting sick. Kudos to you! :)

I have never had pannekoken before, but we had a truly delicious experience. The food was excellent and service was really quick. The waitstaff were very friendly and accomodating. Definitely try the apple cinnamon pannekoken! They do also have other fare, like burgers and sandwiches. A great breakfast or lunch place, just across the street from Mayo

I had to be downtown early this morning so I stopped in here for breakfast. I had a blueberry pennekoeken and it was ok but seemed smaller than the last time I had one. The service was slow but friendly. I find the atmosphere a little gaudy with orange and green. When they were at crossroads it was much nicer.

I love going to a new city and trying local eats. The pannekoeken was like two crepes stuffed with the freshest finely sliced red delicious apples and pecans then coated in a brown sugar glaze. It needed NOTHING on it. I could eat that every day of my life. We also split s Denver omelet which was very small by Ohio standards but is likely a normal, healthy size LOL The veggies were super crisp. Lastly, THOSEMUFFINS!!! We got the almond poppy seed and it is possibly the best muffin I’ve ever had. I could not live by here. I would weigh 500 pounds.

Simple and tasty. Got the regular pancakes and a side of two eggs over medium. Everything came out very quick and Pancakes were hot and fluffy. Eggs were cooked well. Service was great. Also, I love it when you get your own pot of coffee or when your syrup mug is not only hot but bigger than your coffee mug! See pics :-)

If there was a 0 star I would do it because this place is not even worth a half star the owner is something special… I have one question for Unilocal if this app was made so that the public can post their reviews & experience… why was my last post deleted?

I had never heard of pannekoeken, so thought I should explore something new. I had the blueberry version. It’s kind of a soufflé-pancake, not as egg-y as a soufflé, and not as batter-y as a pancake. Definitely delicious! Also, the servers sort of sing«paaaaneeeekuuuukeeen» as they run out of the kitchen carrying it to your table. Don’t worry, they only do that with the pannekoeken. I thought service was good and quick, much better than other reviewers have mentioned. There’s a lot on the menu and it is worth exploring if you’re in Rochester a few days. A little less expensive than other options.

Definitely will not be going back. It seemed our waitress would have rather been anywhere else than there. She was quite short and the place wasn’t busy at all. The food wasn’t worth returning either. .the pictures look better than it actually was. After seeing this place for years and then finally trying it. .it was disappointing to say the least.

We are a California family, here in Minnesota for two and a half weeks, visiting my daughter on winter break from Luther College. I read the comments and remarks on Unilocal, good and bad, but it was the pictures of the food that was the determining factor for me. I had the meatloaf sandwich and an apple pannekoeken. The meatloaf was delicious but the Apple pannekoeken was outstanding! Our waitress, Jennifer was polite, friendly and extremely attentive. Thank you Jennifer!!! My family and I would definitely go back!

The service is excellent. The servers were very quick and attentive. I had the classic breakfast and it was perfect. The bacon was crispy, hash browns were perfect and my scrambled eggs were perfect. I also splurged for the chocolate chip pannekoeken and it was also great. But to be honest I have no idea what pannekoeken is supposed to be like. It seemed fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place. It’s great for breakfast. Prices are great too. Two thumbs for this place.

First time here from out of state and had breakfast for dinner. One of, if not our best meal in town compared to some pricy alternatives. We shared an apple Pannekoeken which was very tastee. Skillets were good along with bacon! Service was fast and friendly. Don’t pass up the muffins either!

The food was very good with good sized portions, unfortunately we sat in a seating are by the front and the noise from the tv and radio was obnoxious. The waitress was apparently distracted because our orders came out wrong, we were missing items and we rarely saw her so getting things corrected was difficult. I might try it again but only if I’m feeling generous.

«Paaaanekoooooeken»(in nasally Minnesotan accent). The best part of going here was that we could do impressions for the whole rest of the day. The service here was like an SNL skit. Lots of sarcasm and sour faces here from the waitstaff. We had the least enthusiastic waitress of the bunch so it was hard to keep a straight face as she«joyfully» sang about our pannekoeken arriving. On the other hand, the food was good. We got the seasonal pannekoeken(strawberry) which was made very well, a giant Dutch waffle and a side of sausage. Didn’t get coffee because we assumed it wouldn’t be the best based on other reviews. Overall, I would still go back because the food was pretty good and it was worth it for the laugh with our waitress.

We had the apple cinnamon pannekoeken and a skillet with steak. I’d never had a pannekoeken before but thought it was pretty tasty. Apples were nicely cooked and the flavor was good! The steak in the skillet came out well done when the request had been for medium rare, so that was disappointing. Coffee was okay, orange juice the same. We also had an apple cinnamon muffin, which I thought was mediocre, and a banana chocolate muffin which was pretty good. They have beautiful outdoor seating and we went on a nice day. All in all, it was a good(not great) breakfast and we will probably go again to try a few other things on the menu.

Great location. Right down the street from Mayo. We stopped by after one of our Today-Tomorrows(what we call nights, cause our tummies can never figure out if its today or tomorrow… so we sometimes eat breakfast, lunch, dinner after work). We shared the Dutch Skillet and an Apple Pannekoeken. We enjoyed both. Can’t beat eggs and hash browns. The Pannekoeken(first time I’d had one) was fun and I felt like I was eating dessert for breakfast. They actually sing with they bring it to you. Overall, it was a little pricey for what you get, but most places that serve breakfast are kinda expensive(an egg costs about 20cents). We absolutely loved the little trivia book on the table. They even had old gaming questions(remember Atari and NES?). The service was fast and extremely friendly. Our only complaint is that we can’t figure out the hours. They aren’t posted on the door(that we could find). We thought they were open 24 – 7. We ate around 7am on a weekday, but I just drove by at 5:45am on a Saturday and they were closed.

Went for breakfast last week. Tried their dutch skillet which was amazing! The sausage was the best part. Couldn’t try their pancakes as I was in a hurry, but they look tempting. Bought a cappuccino cupcake which was heavenly! Will definitely go again. :)
