Martini’s

Not bad for a hotel bar… they have a big selection, and yes — they will serve you alcohol on a Sunday in Rochester!
They have tons of martini options (traditional, dessert, fruity), and they’re all $ 6 – 8. They also have beers on tap including Stella. You can also order food from next door.
Our girl Woo took care of us :) She made awesome drinks, has a good memory for what people like, and she was great about making sure we were well hydrated with H2O.

Good food, good drinks, good employees. I get the calamari a lot here and it’s the best in town! Chill atmosphere and décor. The blue lightning makes it a calm environment.

Holy heck, this place is bad. I managed to find a salad that sounded good but once it came, I wouldn’t touch it and had to order something else.
I had a chef salad which, instead of having chopped up meat and cheese, came with what looked like rolled up ham and cheese sandwiches. The cheese was hard in the middle, the meat looked sad. I took one look and couldn’t eat it.
It is very rare that I won’t eat something that I order. In fact, I can’t think of a time in my life when I’ve sent something back. But this was gross.
I ended up ordering a bowl of vegetable barley soup which, while not great, it was edible.
The service was terrible. We kept looking for our server throughout our meal but ended up having to ask a nearby server to find our server. So annoying.
I would not recommend this place and will never be back. If someone gives you a 25% off coupon, don’t be swayed. It’s not worth it.

I have been here several times and when they first opened they would have scored higher but they have not maintained the consistency and changed up the menu a tad. You can get yourself a huge martini for two complete with fruit skewers… I believe it is called love potion number 9. I believe it is around 18.00 for that… I have ordered the hemmingway on more than one occasion and it was good. I just find that with the martini trend happening there are a lot of people that want to order them and cannot handle the strong taste so some bars are starting to fruit them up or soften them… and if your name is martini’s I expect it to be strong…

The only reason I was so generous with my rating was that the waitress was so warm and friendly.
Upon entering Martinies, we were studiously ignored by the staff. It was our first night in the city, we were tired and had to get up early the next morning, so we didn’t feel like finding another place to eat. So we waited. Someone finally decided to seat us.
I ordered an open-​faced turkey sandwich and my wife ordered a plain baked potato. I never expected to get turkey loaf on a slice of white bread with canned gravy. My wife got a small potato — about 3 inches long. It was food, but if you are looking for something better than canned food, go somewhere else.
