So basically went in for the package deal of 19 99… but spent about 67.00. I wanted the cd and got it with the package but wanted to print y own Christmas cards. Come to find out they don’t give you a copyright release to even use the other pictures on the cd if you wanted to print. So you are stuck with them on a cd and can’t make prints unless you go back to them and the charge you an arm and a leg. So please be aware, this is not the place to get your pictures made. The prices are an rip off.

I do not recommend Portrait Innovations for photos at all. I originally chose them because I needed photos fast for my daughter’s 6 month photos and we were headed out of town. All of the other photo studios in town make you wait at least a week to get pictures and the website for PI said they print them in «minutes.» When we got there, there was one family that was waiting to get pictures taken who was taking up every chair in the lobby. And not by sitting on them, they were sitting on half of them and then had all of their stuff on the other half of the chairs so there was nowhere to sit. Now, I know that this is not PI’s fault, but they did not move to fix it and it was clear from the interactions with the staff that they new one of the photographers very well. It felt very unwelcoming. I waited 20 mins after my appointment time to get pictures. When I finally got into the studio, the photographer had no direction in setting up the picture, kept asking me what to do with the picture and worse of all, did not even bother to learn my daughter’s name. I’ve never had trouble with my daughter taking pictures because she loves to smile. The photographer was so unenthusiastic and would simply move the camera to one side and say «peek,» which of course would not get my daughter to smile at all. After all of it, she got one or two poses that were really great and plenty that were just ok. I ordered a package that had enough pictures in it that I needed, and was then informed that it takes 45 minutes for the pictures to print! I understand that it takes time to print pictures, but then don’t advertise that your pictures print in «minutes.» About an hour would have been a better advertisement, then I could have planned around it. And after I waited the 45 minutes, I got home and looked at the pictures and some of the prints were wrong! They were not the ones I ordered. At that point, I just left it and didn’t want to deal with them anymore. I won’t be going back to Portrait Innovations at all.

If I could give this business zero stars, I would.
Scheduled a family portrait session. Arrived to find the lobby area packed with people. The gal behind the desk told us they were «running a little behind». After an hour and a half, my assertive daughter questioned them and we were seen immediately. As if the wait wasn’t bad enough, the women employees were running around with NO SHOES ON THEIR FEET, and I still have no idea what they were so ‘busy’ with. The photographer, Cody? While very pleasant, he gave us NO direction for posing, and every single photo of our family with one background had the little boy looking over his glasses! I find it hard to believe a photographer can’t SEE THIS??? We had one, and only one, photo that was acceptable to me… and that wasn’t a photo of the entire family. I will never, NEVER return to this business. I cannot believe they didn’t make courtesy calls to those of us who were going to have to wait… wouldn’t it have made more sense to spend ten minutes making calls to avoid a lobby full of irritated parents, bored toddlers, and infants who would be much happier at home? Add to this the fact that many of these people brought several changes of clothing for photos, and the wait was even longer! Those two women do not belong in this business; they were an embarrassment!
