This salon is EXCEPTIONAL! Dayna is the best around for bangs, layers, and overall cut and does top notch color work. The atmosphere of the salon also really sets it apart. If you are looking for the best salon around, look no further.

I got my hair done by Missy a few weeks ago for a friends wedding, and she did an AMAZING job (even without having ever worked with my hair before)! I got so many compliments on the up do. A very friendly and clean atmosphere. I highly recommend her for future visitors!

BEST SALON EVER! I have no complaints here! Everyone from the front desk to the stylists are friendly & helpful. Megan has done my hair for years & this chick knows what she is doing. Jen & Dayna have also done my hair & I’ve always been more than satisfied every time. I think what sets these stylists apart from others is the amount of continuing education that they are involved in. Every time I see Megan, she has a new color or technique that she just learned in a class. I would trust any of the stylists there with my hair!

Awesome salon right on Main Street! The location is great, especially once all the construction is done in Rochester. Missy did my hair for my wedding and I loved it! She’s the best, if I still lived in Michigan I would go to her to have my hair done all the time. My bridesmaids also had their hair styled for the wedding and loved the salon, too. Everyone there was nice. Definitely would recommend this salon to others!

I’m so happy that Jennifer and Megan have opened their own salon! Jennifer has been doing my hair since 1998 and she is someone I trust completely. Jen knows exactly how to cut my fine, curly hair and always has great advice on color, styling and damage control. Both Jen and Megan are trained on the latest and greatest style and color techniques and they know their hair products, too. The salon is cozy and warm with a great view of downtown Rochester.

This salon in downtown Rochester is terrific! It’s contemporary and elegant and the prices are reasonable. I’ve been Jennifer’s client for many years and have followed her from a few other salons because she’s one of the most talented professionals in the business. She always gets my color and style perfect and I’ve never been dissatisfied. The entire staff at Rusted Roots Salon is very friendly and personable. If you haven’t checked out this salon yet, I highly recommend it. You’ll walk out looking and feeling like a million bucks!

This salon is wonderful! I have been a client of Megan’s for about fourteen years and have always been very impressed with her work. She listens to her clients and now knows my hair so well I don’t even need to give her directions on what to do! I’ve followed her to a couple of other salons but she is one of the co-​owners of Rusted Roots and it’s great to see her personal style come out in the décor and design of the salon.
Every member of the staff is very friendly and I have been very impressed with their level of expertise. I had one of the very best and thorough manicures of my life with Rachele. She squeezed me in without an appointment at the end of the day when she could have left early. Not only did she stay late, but she still did an amazing job on my nails. I didn’t get the shellac manicure but she told me that she’ll make custom colors for her clients, which is something I’ve never had any technician offer. Moreover, for such a thorough, careful manicure, the price is extremely reasonable.
I love the products they use, I’ve become completely addicted to Moroccan oil! The location is also really great — the salon is right in Downtown Rochester and has designated parking in the back for their patrons.
