We were actually staying at the Hilton Garden Inn next door, but the food at the Drifter’s restaurant there was nearly inedible and the terrible«band» was so loud it bled into our room and even onto the street, so we wandered over to the Hyatt. I had the classic hamburger with cheese and a side of fries, my husband had the roast beef on weck and a side salad. Our first drink order came out wrong(captain morgan on the rocks came out as a captain and coke, not a big deal), but the rest were fine. The food was delivered reasonably fast and the staff was attentive without hovering. They put the hockey game on the huge projection screen, which was awesome! The burger was very hot and delicious, through the fries were tepid and I had to ask twice for ranch dressing — again, not a big deal. The roast beef sandwich was great, but the weck bun was too salty for the sandwich. So, the hubby and I switched top buns. I gave him my plain top bun, he gave me his salty weck top bun. It took my burger and his sandwich from great to excellent! They should use one top and an opposite bottom on both those sandwiches/burgers — it really enhanced them both. So much better than what we experienced just ordering appetizers at the Hilton’s Drifter’s restaurant!

OK so Unilocal has bad reviews but I had no choice and sometimes no choices can bring surprises. It’s Wednesday and the special was an 8 oz filet over sweet potatoes and spinach with a sprinkle of goat cheese. Damnnnn am I glad I stayed at the hotel and got such a pleasant surprise. Drinks were very good and if you ever have a chance to order this special do it, you wont regret it. Ask for Illy and Molly, great bartenders, professional and really nice to talk to, good pourers to boot and the kind that make you feel at home when you’re far away.

Paid a visit for breakfast here one of the mornings two colleagues and I were staying at the Hyatt while on a business trip. The place was perhaps half full around 8am on a Tuesday morning. We had gotten in late the night before on a flight from Dulles and were starving. Their breakfast buffet is quite nice with a manned omelet station with all the fixings, scrambled eggs, bacon, two types of sausage(love all these breakfast meats), potatoes as well as an entire fruit bar and several juices. I think there was breakfast breads as well but they don’t fit into my diet that well and I didn’t take notice of them. Our server was attentive and saw to our initial drink needs as well as cleared out the spent plates. I was quite happy with my scrambled eggs, meat and fruit selections. A colleague raved about his freshly prepared omelet as well. My only hesitation in awarding more stars is I felt the buffet was overpriced a bit at $ 19.95. Perhaps if I went the omelet route I would have a different opinion. Other than that no hesitations in recommending their breakfast.

The bar and grill was nice enough… it did feel like it was in a hotel but did have high ceilings and open space, so it wasn’t a bad feeling place. The menu is pretty good. I sat at the bar, the staff was very sweet and courteous. The bar has great windows to the roof and this is very pretty but it was really cold because the cold from the outside seemed to seep through the windows, but i enjoyed my time there none the less. Sue is a very sweet and helpful bartender. Prices were ok, bar was stocked, menu was decent, food cam out hot and fresh. I had the app trio that had the thai shrimp, green bean fries, and one shortrib slider… all were very tasty and came out hot and fresh. Overall, a good experience. Nothing too special, but a good place to eat.

Awful. Overpriced. Never again. The build your own salad? What a joke! $ 17 for a basic spinach salad. The spinach was gritty, very little of any other toppings… green cherry tomatoes? No thanks! Horrible hotel restaurant.

The entrée menu is somewhat limited, but should have something for everyone. There’s steak, chicken, salmon, crab cake, pasta, and more and well as small plates such as flatbread, wings, and sandwiches. We had the salmon and chicken, both which were cooked and presented perfectly. We started with ala carte side salads, house and Caesar, which were fresh and inexpensive. The rolls were fresh and hot and replenished as requested. Happy hour draft beers were reasonable. With a coupon for a free entrée, the main courses were a value. Service was attentive and polite. Would definitely go back on a coupon which is frequently available; still a delicious meal, but not as much of a bargain without the discount.

Stood at the entrance for over ten minutes. Right next to the sign that said, «Wait To Be Seated.» The place was only moderately busy and there were several waiters running about. No one paid me any notice. Finally I sat myself at a table. A waiter appeared quickly and took my order. I ordered a simple cheeseburger and fries. Comfort food after a long day. It took a long time to get the food and it allowed me to observe the operation. Waiters always seemed to be in a hurry. My food came and it looked good. The waiter asked me if I needed mustard or mayo and I said«yes.» He disappeared for over ten minutes. I tried to eat my fries while he was gone. They were cold. When he returned with the condiments he apologized for how long it took. He referenced the long wait for the elevator! Ahaaaa. That’s the issue! The kitchen is located on a different floor. I remarked that the fries were cold(like my burger). He offered to bring me hot fries, which did take another ten minutes, during which I ate my very lukewarm burger. The burger was actually pretty good and probably would have been very good if served hot with the proper condiments at hand. The bright spot in the whole evening was the waiter himself. He was working hard and trying to make the situation better.

Just like in my tip. I have no idea why we decided to eat here when there are so many places walkable distance from the hotel. I asked for a medium rare burger with pepper jack cheese and I was given well done and what it looks like a kraft single on top of my burger. The sweet potato fries were the only things i liked on my dish and my girlfriend wasn’t too pleased with her«ROC nachos». We won’t even go there. If anything this is a hotel restaurant so its only a place where you would meet friends for a drink before getting more drinks at one of the bars down the road.

This place was terrible. $ 23 for a piece of trout so small and thin I could have had it slid under my door. The rice had an awful aftertaste like it had sat in dirty water for hours. The bread was as hard as rocks and the butter was tasteless. I wasn’t aware that was even possible. Then our waitress disappeared for twenty minutes making it impossible for us to pay and leave. Shame on groupon for tricking us into going there.

Wonderful meal last night! The chef Dustin prepared several dishes for us and all were amazing. The scallops were seared perfectly and served with polenta, the duck was tender and served medium rare, risotto was fabulous, the surf and turf entrée had a beautiful filet and lobster with truffle mashed potatoes, our desert was chocolate crème brûlée. A huge dinner and it allowed us to taste quite a few dishes. We will definitely return sometime soon!

Not the greatest, while I understand that this is a hotel restaurant. Things just haven’t gone well for my past few meals. Place an order for create your own pasta a few times this week and still waiting for it to be delivered correctly. Today, ordered it with shrimp only to find out it had none. Then after starting to eat my meal, I finally noticed the shrimp. I had ordered shrimp pasta and they used little tiny salad shrimp. Could not believe what I was seeing, pointed it out to the bartender and she just agreed with me that it was not right. This is a great place to have a drink or two, but as far as food goes. You need to look elsewhere in the area, for a better meal and a better selection. As a frequent guest at different Hyatt’s, this one is at the very bottom for dinner meals.

Ordered room service from the Scene on Main while staying at the Hyatt on business. Right off the bat I was pretty annoyed because the incompetent person who took my telephone order was so confused and unfamiliar with the restaurant’s offerings that she made me repeat myself about ten times. I don’t want to sound snobby, but when I inquired about a glass of red wine to go with my meal, she said«we have something called pie-nawt nor.» I mean really? If you’re going to work in a restaurant you should probably learn the names of the items on your menu and wine list. I was quoted 30 minutes, but didn’t receive my food for over an hour. The food itself was mediocre. The salad I ordered ordered could have been very good as the bosc pear, bleu cheese, candied pecans and bib lettuce were well done, but the addition of a strangely overpowering chocolate vinaigrette and chicken(which I did not order on the salad, I might add) killed the dish. My duck, which cost a whopping $ 20, was an over-cooked to medium well and drenched in a sauce that tasted like pureed Smuckers raspberry jam right out of the jar. There were no sides. Overall I was quite disappointed. I don’t know what I expected since this is a restaurant inside of a chain hotel, but honestly the place seemed so nice! Anyone staying at the Hyatt should definitely speak with the concierge about dining options outside of the hotel rather than dining in.
