Stopped in for the second time last Friday and had a good time. The fun staff gave great service. They had a bonfire outside where in the summer they have live music, a hidden gem!

This is the seacoast food blogger sending out a warning for air don’t even bother run away fast considerate off-limits not worth the money not worth your time what else can be said just downright bad bad bad this part of the governors and really makes it look horrible however the governors in itself does very wellnot quite sure where they were going with this concept but it never took off it’s just close it everybody would be better off. If there was a way to give it less than one star or even a negative star I put it in the negative star category and that takes a lot for me

Best restaurant in Rochester. Amazing beer and delicious food. Staff are super friendly too. I always hope that it stays a secret because I don’t want it to be crowded when I go :)

Came here for lunch and it was great! An excellent selection of food beyond your standard sandwich shop. I’m sure this place is awesome in the summer with a band and the doors open. We also loved the beer variety and tap decorations hanging from the ceiling, if I was local this would be my go to spot.

Quick service, fresh food, and very unique environment. The Garage is a small garage COMPLETELY transformed into a restaurants with a full bar. The Garage serves fresh salads, wraps, soups, sandwiches, and even burgers.

What a hidden gem!!! I fell in love with The Garage before I had even set foot inside. This is my Mom and her new husband’s favorite place to go for good brews and appetizers, so naturally, they took our family here on their wedding day for celebratory drinks and snacks! They already had me at the atmosphere. A converted garage space with open«garage» doors, an eclectic interior with hanging taps, a full bar, which then opens to this expansive grassy outdoor space with a stage, tons of tables, and stringed lights anchoring the space. The staff was exceptionally friendly and provided great service. We sat outside a few tables back from the stage, noshing on chicken nachos, hummus, and quesadillas. The cocktails were delicious. I had a couple of mai tais, and most of the rest of us had quality craft beers, including a special one that they put on tap for us. As the evening dwindled into dark, a local band began setting up on the stage. They apparently have live music here a lot, in addition to festivals and pint nights. If I didn’t live in California, I could easily see this being a fun local watering hole to frequent. Great place to hang out with a large group!!!

I recently moved from California and I heard this was the spot to go. Need to say less this was the spot to go! it’s located in the back the parking lot, you walk in and there are hundreds of taps they once had hanging from the ceiling for decoration that was pretty awesome. I got there around 6pm it wasn’t too crowded but by 7:30 the place was packed and a live band was setting up to play at 8pm. So My family and I started off with nachos that comes with their homemade queso sauce it’s not the movie theatre queso, its homemade with a little kick! you can choose chicken or pork, order the pork because it’s full of flavor and mixes perfectly with the cheese and queso sauce. i ordered the hamburger mac and cheese. yes this dish is only 10.99 but the portion is HUGE. it’s topped with broiled ritz crackers and garlic salt. the inside has hamburger meat, onions and tomatoes it was the absolute mouth watering dish! I would definitely get this and the nachos again. our serve was Dave he was very attentive and friendly. he made my family and I feel at home! thank you Dave for being such a great waiter I will be seeing you again !

We tried this place on a whim. We went for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Great draft beer selection, and the food was excellent. My husband got the pastrami and Swiss sandwich and said it was the best pastrami sandwich he had ever eaten. I got the apple walnut chicken salad and it was very good. We will be back again, especially this summer when they have live music.

I have been going here for about 3 years and am due a review on this place. Food: A unique take on american/tex-mex/pub/deli food made with quality ingredients. The food is spiced very well and the taste is well beyond many similar restaurants in the area. Lunch sandwiches are great and the special dinner entrees will keep you coming back. I love the BBQ and brisket it is amazing! Drinks: The rotating selection of local/craft beer is awesome. They always have a great IPA, lager or dark beer on draft I have never been disappointed. Entertainment: The entertainment rotates and depends on the season, but whoever scouts the local talent brings in some very good bands.

This is Rochester’s hidden gem. We had lunch today and the food was amazing. I had the veggie burrito and I’m pretty sure I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life. Everyone in our party of 5 was happy with what they got. I want to come back wheh it is warm and sit outside. Parking is limited, park next door at the Governors Inn of the parking lot is full. We will be back!!!

Instead of doing one super extravagant Valentine’s date for my fiancé, I decided to do 3 dinners, one for each Valentine’s day we’ve had together. This was first up on our list. Overall, it was a very poor experience. At first the atmosphere was nice, a garage re purposed into a restaurant is a unique experience. However, when several fruit flies, or other small insects started to fly around the table, it truly killed the mood. The food wasn’t bad, my fiancé got a quesadilla and I got the buffalo mac and cheese. The chocolate chip cookie sundae for desert was very poor. The cookie tasted stale and the ice cream was freezer burned. I would’ve given 3 – 4 stars if the price was reasonable, but it wasn’t. With their«Valentine’s special» it was supposed to be $ 26 for 2 entrees and desert. My fiancé got a Shirley Temple, and I got one beer, and our total came to $ 39 dollars. Overall it wasn’t the worst experience I had, but at the price point there’s several superior options in Rochester.

The Garage continues to be the best place in Rochester for lunch. Great atmosphere, great service, great beer selection, great food. The parking lot is a bit small though. We had lunch there on Tuesday and I saw 4 cars turn around and leave because there was no place to park. management should put up a sign telling people that there is extra parking available next door at the Governor’s Inn becasue they are losing business.

We went here for lunch one day during the comic book convention, oh my, what sights there were to see! We walked in an were told to order at the counter then grab a seat and they will bring the food right over. The burgers either come with chips or a salad for 8.99, not a bad price for a really good burger. They had a few different beers to choose from, we would of stayed longer but the beer prices were $ 8 a glass. Never had my beer cost almost as much as my food. Would love to hang out there sometime but the beer prices scare me. The employees were all extremeley friendly and it was a real party atmosphere in there. There are booths and high tops to choose from.

Fan-freaking-tastic. Food is good. Beer selection is good. This place is a hidden gem with potential. The nachos are spot on!
