Welcoming atmosphere, delicious traditional diner food, clean, great service, family– friendly, appropriately priced restaurant. My favorite breakfast spot in Rochester… I’ve been going to Uncle Danny’s religiously for 20 years and I have always had an ideal experience.

We used to come here often but as of late we have gone elsewhere, not because the food is bad, but just haven’t been there lately… It’s your average Greek run diner style food that is tasty and comforting in it’s own way… The service is good and the prices are high at all, in fact very reasonable given today’s economy… Plenty of parking as long as you get there early… All in all not a bad place to eat breakfast or dinner…

Great breakfast. I’m vegetarian, and the waitress double checked for me that on Sun morning the potatoes are cooked on a separate flat top from the meat. She even double checked when she took our order & asked if I wanted my omelet cooked on the meat free surface. The hash browns are good; crispy on the outside, lightly seasoned with garlic powder. My boyfriend got the chili cheese omlet & homefries and was pleased with his breakfast. We’ll definitely come back.

First of all, I did not misspell the restaurant name in this review. If you prefer bland, unseasoned geriatric-style food this is your destination dining spot. Our preferred restaurant for breakfast was closed for the owner’s summer vacation and we decided to give Uncle Danny’s a try. The home fries tasted like soggy potato cubes and the hollandaise sauce on my eggs had zero lemon flavor. I was halfway through my home fries when, low and behold… I spot a super long red hair wound into them. I am brown/blonde, in case you are wondering. I also had a small bug land on my eggs while I was eating them. Bug spray, anyone? The waitress offered to re-cook my meal, and never removed it from the bill. The lack of interest in customer satisfaction was appalling. I wasn’t the only one in my party with a bad meal. My roommate’s sausage resembled a rubber chicken. I suggested he throw it at the waitress to knock her unconscious then thought better of it. Thankfully, our usual spot reopens again on Monday.
