Comfort Suites

Consistently good for travelers with pets on I-​77. We have stayed at this Comfort Suites every January for at least the last 5 years as we travel from Fl to WV with my Mom’s small dachshund and we have never been disappointed with the consistently good quality and service. The rooms are basic but clean and well maintained. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. If you are traveling with a pet make sure to request a room on the 1^st floor and you will have easy access to a relatively quiet grassy area in back. If you are traveling alone this hotel is well lit and in a well travelled area. There are multiple options for food nearby and at least one gas station within a quarter mile. Access to I-​77 is very smooth. There have been a couple of minor glitches over the years but our concerns were handled quickly and effectively. We will continue to stop here and to recommend it to others.

We were driving from northern VA to Charleston, SC. SC areas were being evacuated for flooding and there was also a race in town. My husband called while we were on the road and the front desk was so friendly and gave us a great military rate at the last minute. We arrived a little after midnight to a clean, comfortable room. My husband and I and our 3 kids slept well, had a great breakfast and were ready to finish our trip the next morning. Thanks for being so accommodating and friendly!

Stayed there for 4 day during a difficult time. The staff was wonderful! Room was clean and roomy. Will definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for five days and was very pleased. Our room was very nice. The hot breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. We would stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed here and by chance got the exact same room. We have found the room to be clean both times with no complaints. The room we stay in has a kitchen and the fridge and microwave are very clean as well.
The staff has always been nice and very accommodating! We have even had to move our reservation’s before with no problem.
Anytime we are in town, this is where we will be staying.

This has to be the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed. We entered into our room, and the smell was horrible. The room was filthy, it appeared to have been damaged from maybe a party. The room was an adjoining room, the walls were all marked up, the mirror over the desk was missing and a black hand print, and tape still on the wall. The door knob on the closet was broken off, the toilet paper holder was broken, the toilet paper was sitting on the counter, the hair dryer was broken and taped together. The desk chair was broken, if you sat in it you fell backwards — the carpet and sofa were stained soiled so badly, I would not even sit on them. The room had clearly been trashed, maybe a party… not sure — but all they did was re-​make the beds and rent it. We asked for another room, and were told no other rooms were available. So we headed to the store to get stuff to try to neutralize the odor in the room, but it was like putting perfume on a pig. The thermostat on the wall did not work, so the room was moist/​damp. There was no reason to have rented that room in that condition, and to pay over $ 100 for that room. If we had not paid in advance, we would have left, but they already had our $. Then the walls in the hallway by the pool were all in disrepair. I could go on and on… this room was inexcusable, and to refuse to move us — NO EXCUSE!!!

On our way to FL from PA we stopped here and had a good night’s rest. The location is fine especially if you are not too tired to shop as you are surrounded by stores. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Our room was very clean and the bed was just right – very firm but comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room could use some updating and is showing signs of wear: shower had some mold and the bed skirt was ripped and the drapes were askew but I suspect that is because travelers try tugging on them to close them without realizing the pulls are a bit hidden and to the side of the drapes – the drapes don’t close, insert panels do. These are minor issues and I would certainly stay here again.
Well, two years later and we are back. Stopped on way to Pittsburgh to see the kids, and again on our way back to FL. We find this a well managed, pet-​friendly (see photo of horse) hotel. We usually get a two queen bed room because I am a restless sleeper on a trip. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and an ample supply of pillows is provided. The facility is surrounded by shopping and a number of restaurants should you have the energy to indulge. For us, we just want a nice quiet night’s sleep which we got. If you are a early starter, I suggest you gas the car the night before. On our way out we spotted the horse van with the horse outside and couldn’t resist a picture.
