Great local place in Rockaway. Over a dozen televisions so you can watch any football game you want on Sunday, or any other game of your choosing in the evening. Sundays they also have a few free food items, hot dogs, and sometimes a bbq smoker. They sell the usual bar food, chips, pretzels, and small bar pies too. Live bands on most weekend nights. They have a huge enclosed outdoor deck in the back where you can relax and lounge with your cigars, which they also sell, or you can just hang outside and enjoy the weather. Plenty of chairs, tables, and umbrellas for your choosing. The bar has been renovated in recent years and allows for more patrons, along with a more diverse selection of draft beers. They also have refrigerators for packaged goods if your looking for a quick pickup. They have a juke box, pool table, two dart boards, and a foosball table & cornhole in the back deck shed. Whether your looking for a place to just grab a drink with friends, spend some time watching sports, or just enjoy some live music you should check this place out. This place is cash only, but there is an atm inside.

They have great tap beer and get pretty good bands. They also sell package goods. Their customers are a broad demographic.

Popped in here last night after not being here for quite a few years. We were in the area and figured we’d give it a try for a night-cap before hitting Rt 80 on our way home. Walking in, the first thing I saw(which I didn’t remember from years earlier) was the pool table. HUGEPLUS! We made our way to a somewhat empty spot at the bar and ordered a couple of craft beers(they accept the NJ Craft Beer card — another HUGEPLUS! This card/membership provides discounts at certain bars/restaurants/liquor stores — and Adams offered $ 1 off certain craft beers) Hubby ordered a Lagunitas IPA and I ordered the Magic Hat winter ale. Both served in a shapely Heineken glass which the bartender mentioned we could have after we finished our beers(they had a promo and received a bunch of glasses and he stated he really didn’t have the storage — we are beer aficionados and we also«collect» beer glasses from various bars, so we don’t have the room either –but it was nice to know we could have had them) Interesting crowd of youngster college aged type kids and an older(more our age) biker crowd. The bartenders were pretty attentive and I asked if there was live music… there was — a blues band(YAY! we love the blues). So, I put some quarters on the table, waited a few minutes and it was my turn. There was a small but decent amount of pool sticks and the table was in good condition(and I played for about an hour or so) — there were about 15 TVs on — sports all over — fishing/football/hockey(Go Devils… but boo, they lost). The interior itself could use a little overhaul but it’s fairly clean — it’s just a little ‘divey’ looking — but that always works for us — no pretentiousness — everybody got along and most seem to know each other. The crowd was pretty friendly(especially when they realized I could play pool with the best of them!!). Decent bar — would definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area on a weekend. there is also a ‘cigar patio’ and there is a selection of cigars in a cabinet. Hubby noticed that there was a white film/powder on them — not sure what that is about, but if you have your own, I’m sure you could partake during a nice weather night.

Very cool, clean and nice old school bar(décor) with awesome twists. Plenty of TV’s, awesome humidor and a multitude of beers on tap. Too bad we won’t be going back, one bartender was awesome, but the girl bartender had an attitude a mile long, certainly enough to turn us off.

walked in — saw only 3 people there and walked out. Looks like it’s probably fun in the warmer weather.

Bob– I’ve never heard anybody complain about the size of a TV being too big! maybe its just because you’re a squirt and intimidated by the size of the TV. Apparently, Bob, you don’t get out enough, because if you think the Exchange is so mainstream, why don’t you go play darts for them? Oh i forgot, they don’t have a dart team or a pool table. And as if I see your picture it reminds me that you’re not very well liked. Glad you’re not there anymore. Nice glasses in your picture, did you get them at the Exchange in a raffle??? Adam’s is probably nicer than your house, so if it’s a dump what is your house like? As if I remember your face as a bartender, you dont tip well, so why would I buy you a beer?

Adams has become known for a local dive bar within the community and beyond. They have lots of bands, darts, and a billiards table. All types of beer available too. Hungry? don’t worry about stumbling to Quick Check. He keeps plenty of munchy food on standby. No matter where you look, there is a tv around the bar. And by far the best attraction is a large wall size HD plasma flat screen that let’s you see a pimple on Marty Broduers face as the puck is shot passed him. Adams’ as it grows in crowd, serves as alot of potential especially given it’s remote location. But if you want a good time with a very diverse crowd, this is the place.
