Been a client for a dozen years as they service on and off my Deere Mower. I alternate because the tune up costs more then my cars and I do it for $ 15 dollars myself albeit not as well as they do it, always comes back in good shape. Just bought a large snow blower, had some issue and they took care of it without a question and returned it promptly. I can understand some reviews concerning attitude since the general store staff can seem indifferent sometimes, however, the big guy, Gus, is the man to see with any issue. A perfect gentleman and honest businessman. Well worth the 20 mile trip without the hassle of dealing with the big box guys where service is practically non existent. Asked for them to evaluate the deck height(lever wasn’t rising the deck properly) and to look at the right ZTR arm. Took over a week for them to call me after receiving the ZTR mower. Gave me a list of repairs(cost of a new ZTR $ 2500) for unrelated items but didn’t really address my concerns on a 3 – 4 year old machine. Last time I will do business with any of the Power Place establishments in the area — they all send the equipment to White House, NJ and lied regarding turnaround and took their time to return the equipment(over a week) after I asked for the equipment back. Learning more and more everyday on Youtube while looking for a reputable and customer oriented shop to service my equipment.

They promise one thing and deliver another, wishing to charge for the addition which was not requested. I would have to say they lack in integrity and customer service 9÷18÷2015 Received a follow-up call to my posting with what i will say was a sincere apology to what took occurred. In addition offered to correct the problem. I thank Gus for his follow –up and profession ism.

Use this company at your own risk. Recently had them pick up a relatively new snowblower they serviced 9 months ago and was told it needed new paddles, scraper bars, a new carburetor among other things… Bill was going to almost $ 500. When I pointed out that the carburetor was the one they had just put this one on 9 months ago he said«oh well» this stuff happens. No warranty To make matters worse since repair cost would exceed the value of a new one the guy explained that if I didn’t pick it up he would be owed $ 40 for a service fee and it would be $ 130 to bring it back to me. I decided I wasnt going to allow them to keep it and called my landscaper and told him if he wanted it he could have it, just go get it. Ran across him today and his words were«I saw their invoice… they were going to rob you». «Your paddles are perfect and the scraper looks like it had never been used». The carburator was just dirty and all it needed was a filter to avoid the problem. I was happy to hear he gave it to his father and that someone would be enjoying it not the crooks at power place. I wanted to share this and hopefully help someone else avoid paying too much for work that might not even need to be done. I guess they count on us nonhandy naïve homeowners to just keep being suckers…
