Driving through the Mtns to DC when decided to google wineries on our way. Found we were 15 min from this winery which was near the interstate. Reviews looked good so thought«Why not?» Indiana isn’t known for great wines, mostly just desert wines. So glad we stopped. Delightful wine and Dave was very friendly. We ended up buying 6 bottles. Now on to DC. Happy!

My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon visit here, we really enjoyed ourselves. The owner took time to explain how they operate and produce some really wonderful wine. They have some unusual varieties for Virginia wine that we enjoyed a great deal. Recommend to anyone looking for an off-the-beaten path winery to enjoy.

I’m in no way knowledgable about wine, so I feel like it’s unfair for me to comment on if it’s good – I’ll leave that to someone who actually knows something. This is a cute family-owned place. The owners are some of the nicest people around. Like, really good people. They’ve got a couple dogs running around and they make you feel like you’re part of the family(give Abbey Road, the spaniel, a good hearty pet for me). Whenever I come here, I always get a pitcher of white sangria. I can’t say it’s authentic or very boozy, however it’s damn tasty. They have some beautiful land and a cute deck to sit out on while you enjoy your drink.

Another one of those«you need a good map, not a GPS» Virginia wineries. This one is very remote — off I-64, on the way to the WV border, west of Lexington, VA. As the case with other tucked-away mountain wineries, there is plenty of land here and the views are fantastic. You will be greeted by a cute dog running down the hill. The owners will make you feel right at home, and all of their wines are good. My favorite is their«Black Tie Norton,» a classy blend of Norton and Cab Sauv. Their prices are FANTASTIC. If you take the time to find this place, you will be well rewarded.
