I’ve been ordering the kids grilled chicken strips and steamed broccoli meal for a while now, and today was told I couldn’t order off the kids meal because I wasn’t 12 or younger. All I wanted was a breast of grilled chicken and steamed broccoli ($ 4.99 on the kids menu). The lady convinced me that I would get more with the grilled chicken «dinner» as the kids meal only had ½ a chicken breast and the dinner had a full chicken breast and double the broccoli (for $ 10.99). Well this just wasn’t true. The amount of chicken was half of what I was getting with the kids meal, and cost over double the price. Plus, I was always ordering an adult Pepsi, so I didn’t get the kids drink that comes with the meal. This proves to me that Applebee’s is all about making money. From now on, I will be ordering «carside to go» if I want their overpriced food– the KIDS meal– and they won’t be able to say no. They basically just lost my tip.

Tried the 2 for 20 added extra dollar got the 7oz sirloin. we did the salad for a side. one of the best salads ive had huge… steak was cooked perfect med.rare.bake potatoes they have sea salt on the out side very good. meal was served hot. service good. olny down fall no free bread. you have to order bread sticks 1.99 with ice tea no bread our bill was 26 plus
was clean bathrooms clean. we will go back.

Had an excellent waiter who took good care of us. Was a shame to switch getting rid of potatoes and corn for a salad it costs you $ 2.00 extra. Especially when people may have health issues as my mother-in-law does so we sat and watched her eat her meat and nothing else.

My family and I came here after a trip to Magic Water Waterpark in Cherry Valley, IL. The chips and salsa were delicious. I ordered a burger and fries and that was also delicious. I was very happy with this restaurant.

My husband and I received a gift card, so we went for dinner on a Friday night. I was surprised that the restaurant just didn’t seem very clean and the tables felt so gross because the top layer of finish was peeling off. We waited quite a while before our waiter came out and our drinks only came right before our meals. The food was okay but not a ton of flavor. Our waiter just never came around, and we started wondering what he was doing! Overall, not a great experience but it was free!

Their food is alright. The only reason I go is for the asian tacos. they are awesome. The chilli is good too. But by no means is it a 5 star restaurant. Inside needs to be updated very badly!

I went here for their lunch special (which i think goes till 2pm): $ 5.99 for soup+salad, or $ 7.99 for a (lunch-sized) entrée + soup.
I ordered the Tomato Basil soup, which tasted ok, but maybe I’m not a fan of tomato soup. I also ordered the Three Cheese Chicken Penne, which was pretty good.
The service was good: the server was friendly, and my order came out in about 15 minutes.
The restaurant was like any other sit-down chain establishment.
