My husband and I came in Saturday night in desperation to see the Blackhawks vs. the St. Louis Blues game(no. 3) after finding it blacked out on DirecTV. We called every bar within striking distance and no one had it — I thought Rockford was a hockey town! Turns out, it was a WGN broadcast that could only be picked up on local WIFR23.2 by digital antenna. Not only did Souse’s have the game, but Rich(owner) hooked up the sound especially for us. Rich, Sandy and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accomodating. We had a great time and will not forget it. THANKS!

This is a nice little bar located in a strip mall. It’s not very big, but it has a nice atmosphere. In fact it’s so small that it almost feels cramped. The bar chairs are big and comfortable, and are done in a metalic blue upholstry that is reminiscent of the 70’s. When we were there, the only staff they had working was the bar tender, and she was very nice and kept up with everyone’s demands. My only complaint was that there is no designated ordering area at the bar. So those of us that where at a table had a hard time ordering. We had to squeeze between people sitting at the bar, or reach over them. I do not believe they serve food here. I saw no menus and I didn’t see anybody eating at all. I’m not sure if they’ll let you bring in food from one of the restaurants in the same mall or not. Over all, it’s a nice little bar to grab a drink and have a chat, but nothing to go out of your way.
