I don’t understand why this place can’t get a facelift. It looks dingy and worn on the front. The locks on the room doors don’t work well and the doors stick. Rooms smell. The patio chairs were nasty dirty. The staff were friendly, and it is pet friendly(maybe that’s why my room smelled like dog).

The front desk was very helpful and it was a great, budget friendly hotel. Close to all the attractions and with a great view of the water. Would stay here again.

Can’t quite understand the hate for this place on another site. It was what it is, a motor inn. We found the young people at the front desk very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean although missing a refrigerator and trash can. Those were delivered immediately after we called the front desk. Very conveniently located. Not exactly the sort of place I like staying – lots of partyers. Fortunately the loud bathroom fan and air-conditioner made sleeping easy! The place is fine.

Perpetually modest and unpretentious but supremely convenient and pleasant, the«Navi» is situated directly across from the Maine State Ferry terminal in downtown Rockland. Steps from the many restaurants and bars comprising downtown Rockland’s main drag the rooms run from clean to slightly dated but for the dollar, a great deal. All the rooms face the sea and have a/c, balconies, mini refrigerators and cable tv. Soda, ice and snack machines on alternating levels. Elevator service. Complimentary continental breakfast. The whole place recently received a face lift and all the rooms and bathrooms were graced with badly needed upgrades. The first floor saloon can turn into quite a raucus little place on Friday and Saturday nights. If you’re going to be arriving late, make sure you call ahead and let them know as the desk may otherwise be unattended.
