Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

If you like the smoke flavor this is a must try. I order the XL family and it’s enough for the family.

Best Dickey’s in the area. Way better than the other location. Service was friendly and fast. Food tasted great. We got the brisket that actually tasted like brisket should. Great smoked taste that doesn’t need much bbq sauce. Chuck checked in on each guest making sure they were happy and of course reminded them of ice cream.

The food was excellent. We had pulled pork sandwiches and street tacos with Mac/​cheese and coleslaw. The service was expedient and friendly. The facility was clean. We will go back the next time we are in Rocklin.

I love this place. I first tried it when I lived in Arkansas. I was so happy when I came to California to see that it was a national chain! I was unsure what to get when I first came in, One of the employees, Stanley, recommended the chicken breast to me and the spicy bbq sauce (he had excellent customer service by the way)… It turned out being soooo good that I’ve gone back (just for the chicken breast lol) a few times since!!! The spicy bbq sauce is a must! I usually don’t like chicken breast because it is always dry, but this was the most moist chicken Breast I have ever had! I definitely would recommend to anyone looking for quality food and good portion sizes… Plus, Kids eat free on Sunday’s!!!

Have had previously bad experiences with Dickey’s other location in Roseville off Pleasant Grove. This time we went to this new location, with friendly staff, more efficient ordering (similiar to Panda Express). We got our sandwiches very quickly. Delicious. Have been missing Sweet Tea. And Okra! Well all done time for icy cold vanilla soft serve. Will be back.

The service was good, the food was excellent, will have to stop back through next time we are down in the area. The ice cream machine was down which was disappointing, however the potato salad was amazing.

I LOVE this location! The employees are all amazing! Paco, Kamerin, and Reyna are always so friendly. I eat here at least once a week. They now know my order! Ive been to the other locations but this location is by far the best!

Best service and quality food. My favorite place to go on town. Never disappointed! Rendi was warm and welcoming. She served me with a smile. I will be back over and over again.

Yummy barbecue that is fast and very friendly. All staff are kind and the sitting area is nice and clean. Great place for a quick meal!

Would be a 5 except for a few peculiarities. Their meat is great. We like the cole slaw and beans for sides. The rolls are fresh.
You can order a 1, 2 or more meat plate. The one meat rib plate has 3 ribs. You’d think that the 2 meat plate double rib would be 6 ribs. It’s not. It’s 4 ribs and costs an extra dollar. Hum.
They typically fill the sides ½ full. But the pictures show the sides almost full. When I asked about that, I was told that’s for advertising. Hum.
We like the food, but alittle pricey for the style of eatery.
I do better at Buchhorn Grill.

This place is fabulous! We came in as a group of 4 and tried just about everything Dickey’s has to offer.
The brisket is to die for. So smokey and moist… this literally melts in your mouth. The pulled pork was equally delish. The spicey cheddar sausage was a bit spicy for me… but everyone else really enjoyed it. We sampled the fried okra, onion tangles, baked beans, green beans, macn’cheese and coleslaw were all spot on with flavor. The portions are above average and the beverage cups are reusable and recyclable. We thought the rack of ribs was the best. And… you get a free ice cream cone! Yum!

The customer service at this location was not acceptable. We stood at the counter for a couple minutes before the employee looked up. Next, I asked for a kids meal and the employee said, «Just so you know those are for kids 12 and under». He had no idea who I was getting it for. The rest of the staff was not pleasant, they did not smile, welcome us, or thank us. It seems that they have not had enough training. We will not be returning due to the customer service.

Good. Not great, not bad. Thought the price was high — close to $ 12 for the dinner deal for 3 large slices of brisket, a tiny roll, and 2 small sides. Guess that’s average, but the rolls seem so tiny, they almost seem to mock you.
The chicken breast is delicious and moist– a huge hit w/​the family and the first meat to go. The brisket and sliced brisket were ok. Thought they lacked depth of flavor. Baked beans were good, a little on the spicy side for the kids, but a nice kick. Fried okra was tasty and crunchy, could use fresher oil though. Decent portion size, as were the onion rings and criss cross fries.
Ordered it to go, so missed the free ice cream. A nice touch, if you’re eating there.
Note, did the math– the individual meals seemed a better deal than the family package. The gentleman on the phone concurred. Check it out both ways. Family package doesn’t seem like you get much meat :(.

My first time at Dickeys barbecue and they do barbecue right for sure… I’ll be back.

Update: Had a bad experience. And manager took initiative and had us back for a 1 free meat plate. We took him up on his offer and he ended up taking care of our whole meal for our family. The staff was friendly this time and they even offered us free dessert. We tried different selections and ended up really enjoying the potato. Sausage is good, but pork is just too dry for my liking both times and lacks flavor. Thanks for having us back. 1 star to 4 for you!

Yes. 1 star. Staff was not friendly at all, the place was filthy, the meat was overly dry and it is super expensive for the lack of amout of food you get. Will not be coming back.

Bought 1 pound of brisket to go. Got ready to eat and divided the meat using my digital scale and found we only got 14 ounces instead of 16 (1 pound). At $ 16 per pound they got me for $ 2.
It was not to hard to read a digital scale. It says 14 oz.
Good luck if order by the pound.

I usually like Dickies. This was the first time I’d gone to this location. Service was below par, compared to other locations by far. The person taking the order just let me stand there for what I felt was an uncomfortably long time before he said anything to indicate he was ready to take my order. Then when he did talk to me I had to have him repeat everything he said due to how fast and unclear he spoke. The attitudes got better as I proceeded to order my sides from the next person and pay for my meal with the third person. But then the biggest letdown. I’m fifteen or twenty minutes up the road headed out of town when I unwrap my pulled pork sandwich and find it utterly dry. Not a drop off barbecue sauce on it. What do you go to a barbecue place for?! I had no choice but to eat it dry or go back.
I usually like Dickies. But I won’t be going back to this one.
