I booked an appointment for a color touch up and first-​time bayalage treatment with Monik based STRICTLY on Unilocal reviews so I was nervous.
Real nervous.
After speaking with her briefly on the phone (she’s exceptional at describing each step of the process and ensuring expectations can be met, I felt better.
Still nervous though.
I have a TON of hair. Far more than appears to the eye so I know that I’m labor-​intensive. Monik went right to work, taking time to explain each step and checking progress regularly. I could see the brilliant results after I sat down from my shampoo.
Wow already!
When she blew me dry, I was relieved, impressed and PSYCHED! when she styled it, I was GOBSMACKED! I almost don’t want to post this review because I think she might get so booked that I’ll never get back in, but Unilocalers helped me find this hair goddess so here you go. Q
MONIK ROCKS HAIR!

Monik is «rocking awesome»! She rescued my hair and gave my color and cut life again! Now, my daughter and my husband go to her too! She is knowledgeable, thorough and fast!

I had just gotten a bad hair coloring experience from another place and was looking for someone to correct it. I found Monik through Unilocal and was very satisfied with the results! Not only did she correct the color and the highlights, she gave me the balayage I’ve always been wanting. If you’re at all questioning, just call and talk to her. She will answer all of your questions.

Been looking for a new hair dresser and I gave envy a call. Mark answered and had the best customer service. He was able to promptly get me in. I told him how I usually cut my hair and he made a few suggestions for my hair type and I told I’m I’m always down to play with my hair. The cut he gave me was/​is amazing. It’s perfect for my hair type. Looks good when I let my natural curls out and the layers fall perfectly when I blow it out. Mark took the time to see what I wanted and what would work for me. He also wasn’t pushy about things. A lot of stylist I go to just assume or push a was and style on me cuz «they don’t want me too not look good». Mark gave me what I wanted and nothing more. He was open to talking about future treatments and colors but was not pushy at all. Needless to say I found me a new stylist.

I was incredibly happy with my haircut by Monik. She really understands what it means to layer long hair. When I first visited Monik, I had my hair colored and styled by another salon and HATED my hair. I was over-​joyed that Monik was able to «fix» my hair without losing the length. So far I’ve visited her twice for haircuts and plan to visit her again for color.

Thank you Monik for the ombré bayalage treatment last night. It turned out great! She stayed late and booked me the day I called. Now my hair feels good and looks good.

Mark is just the greatest! He intuitively knows what looks good for you and makes honest suggestions. His coloring methods are up to date and innovative. You can’t go wrong with someone who knows «his business» as Mark does. I’ve never been disappointed when he is finished working his «magic» on my hair.

Marcy has done my hair, my sisters hair, and my moms hair for years and she is incredibly talented at her craft. I live in LA now but I still drive 6 hours to get my hair done by her. I don’t trust anyone else with my hair. I have never walked out unsatisfied and always leave LOVING my hair. Four years ago I died my hair black (my natural hair color is blonde) and she was able to get it back to its natural blonde color with no problem. MARCY IS AMAZING!!!

This is in response to a review made by Tara, I am the stylist that did it. The first time that I cut her hair I did exactly what she asked for, which is why I did not refund her 40.00 for that cut. She didn’t know what it was that she didn’t like, she just cut off at least 10 inches so I told her to let me know after a couple days what she wanted to do. She said she wanted it shorter and blonde. Yes the original price I quoted her was for a cut and a color, I then told her that since she already paid for the cut that I would lower the price. ABSOLUTELY nothing shady about that!!! I could go on and on… unfortunately she was not happy and only paid for a haircut. I have never in all my 20+ years of doing hair dealt with someone like this and I feel that she wouldn’t have been happy no matter what I did.

Jessica did my hair. She did a terrible job cutting my hair — it was very disappointing. She would not refund either. Never going back.

I have betting my hair done for a few years by Amber. She is fantastic! She is friendly, always on time, works quickly and gives me exactly what I ask for. For those of us with long blonde hair, getting exactly what we ask for regarding cut and color can be rare. I would definitely recommend her, however I cannot honestly speak about her ability to cut short hair or color anything other than blonde highlights!

I have very thick, wavy hair. Monik does an amazing job with cut and color. She took the time to show me colors that would compliment my skin and eye color as well as expert advice on the cut I wanted based on my hair type. If you want a professional who knows what she’s doing and will take time to ensure you LOVE your color, Monik is your girl! Go see her TODAY!

Monik is AMAZING. I always go here whenever I want my hair done.
Anything from eyebrow waxing to haircuts: bangs, trimming, and shaping — Monik does it all and I always get exactly what I want!
She did my hair for prom — pics to be uploaded soon — but she knows exactly what she’s doing and what she’s talking about. She knows what will look good for your face shape and neck length.
Lately I’ve been really in to coloring my hair and she does everything from natural tones to vibrant colors! Try her for highlights and ombré too — she’s so good at both and will suggest what will look good on you.
She also will recommend hair products for you, and some she sells right in the store. She’s very well researched and experienced, so she literally knows salon-​quality product, what works and what doesn’t. (For my flat hair, she suggested volumizing spray and color-​retaining shampoo)

I’ve been through so much with my hair lately to get it to the right color/​cut. After going through numerous stylists, Kasey was the only one that knew exactly what I wanted. I went to Envy out of impulse, and she made sure I didn’t leave without my hair looking at its best.
I called ahead and asked her if what I wanted was possible and she was totally up for it. I had a consultation the same day I called and 2 days later I got it dyed to a beautiful ash blonde bayalage. She stripped my disgusting copper/​brass away and gave me a huge makeover. Even though my hair was being stubborn (ya know Asian hair) she was resilient and even offered to do another Titanium Wash for me. Actually she preferred that I did it! She was extremely caring and focused, but she had my best intentions and would make sure I was satisfied with each step before moving on. The results of her attention to detail shows because when everything was washed and dried — I couldn’t be happier.
Such a sweet woman and very talented. I have yet to find someone as great as her! She dealt with my vague color scheme that I wanted for my hair when all I asked was for an ashy light color and to not touch my roots hehe. Thank you so much!
Highly recommend you guys give Kasey a chance if you’re looking for the ombré/​bayalage look. She’s amazing and will take care of you.

Impulsive/​first time customer… Really loved Amber! She understood EXACTLY what I wanted despite my terrible way of explaining myself. The cut she gave me actually made me appreciate my existing color more (and I thought it was a botched job)! I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you!

After reading all of the wonderful reviews about Kasey, I was excited to go get my hair cut with someone so trusted. She is very sweet, friendly, and assuring, but unfortunately didn’t do the best job :(
I had an A-​line that had started to reach my shoulders, so I asked to get it shortened up a bit. She told me A-​lines were her thing, she knew how to cut them, etc., so I was excited!
With the first cut, there is a pause, and then she tells me, «um.I think I cut too much…» and just like that, 3 inches from the front was gone. I was only wanting an inch to an inch and half cut. After all is said and done, I don’t have much of an A-​line anymore, and it’s too short for my chubby cheeked face.
To make it worse, the side that got cut first is a lot shorter than the other. So now my hair falls to my chin on one side, and about an inch past my chin on the other.
I wish it were different, because she really is a nice lady and she was apologetic (though she didn’t offer any kind of restitution for the mistake). Maybe it just wasn’t her night, but I don’t think I’ll be taking my chances with another appointment.

A-​line; amazing!
I went in to see Monik after finding Envy on Unilocal… I am sooooo pleased with my A-​line! I’ve had some less than perfect cuts in the past but I am thrilled with my results !!! I will definitely be seeing her again! Very friendly and personable, great stylist! Even gave me tips on my color even though I was only getting a cut!!! Totally recommend her to anyone that is looking for an A-​line or any other cut!!! Go see Monik!

Jessica was AMAZING!
I found out about her through the Auburn Page on Facebook. She did a scavenger hunt for discounted hair cuts and included some cosmetic deals as well.
I was cutting my hair due to leaving for the military (chopped most of my hair off) and Jessica mentioned donating it! Great Idea! She was VERY friendly and it was an overall great experience!

Kasey saved my LIFE!!! After having hair down my back for almost 10 years, chopping it all off was the last thing on my mind. The last time I had my hair cut short, it turned out terribly wrong so you can say I was somewhat traumatized.
After having my first baby, I changed my mind about keeping the long hair and going for a more «mom look». After much research, a lob (long bob) seemed like the cut for me. My mistake was going to a long time family friend who DESTROYED my hair. After about a week of doing research, I read plenty of awesome reviews on Kasey. I was lucky enough to be squeezed in a same day appointment with her and from beginning to end it was such a pleasant experience. She really listened to what I was looking for and took her time. She didn’t get scissor happy, which made me very comfortable and before making any major changes she asked me first. The final product was beyond what I envisioned and I left as an extremely happy customer! Kasey made my first experience at Envy Salon the best and there’s no doubt I will be back! Highly recommend her to anyone!
