Not so happy with this business. The air conditioner on a rental house my husband owns broke down on one of the hottest days, of course, so he was a captive audience for repairmen. A repairman that was recommended could not come out for a few days. My husband did not want the tenant to suffer that long. So he called Harden heating and air conditioning. He was quoted $ 500 for the repair but was later told by the other repairman it was a $ 300 job. My husband requested a receipt that included the break down for labor and parts. Instead he received two receipts. One was for diagnostics that cost $ 75. The other was for the actual job with no breakdown and that cost was $ 500. We questioned why the $ 75 charge was not included in the $ 500 charge. We received no response from the company to several messages we left.

Like most people we work during the day, so the only one home is my 90-year-old, barely able to hear anymore, grandfather. It is for this reason we set our appointment for 4:00; so someone could be home for the guy. I walked in the door at 3:30 only to learn from my grandfather that the guy had just left. This was already upsetting, since it meant a total stranger, someone we had never even met, had been alone in the house with Grandpa. Even more infuriating was that he did NOTHING to fix the problem, but still charged us $ 75. I can understand getting the appointment time wrong, particularly if he’s just following a dispatcher. But he never bothered call to tell us he couldn’t find anything to fix — and yes, he had the number since it’s right on the work order. Had he come at our actual set appointment time — or at least called me — I would have been able to explain precisely what he needed to look for to try to locate the problem. Instead he just breezed in and out and took our money. We ended up calling the guy we normally use for regular electrical work to come by and take a look. Even though he isn’t an AC guy, he was able to locate and correct the problem within half an hour.

My husband and I have used Harden Heating and Air for our home and our rental and have always been satisfied. This business is honest, responsive and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Harden Heating and Air. You will not be dissapointed!

Outstanding service. I phoned early in the morning, was given a 2-hour window in the early afternoon and then Daniel arrived right when he said he would. After doing his assessment, he walked me through the diagnostic and explained in plain language the problem we were having. He replaced the faulty part and I noticed the difference immediately. The entire service call took less than 45 minutes and I was back in business. Without question, Harden Heating & Air will be my first call if ever problems arise in the future.
