We tried Skipolini’s since we were at the movie theatre and it was nearby. Once we were inside the hostess seated us promptly and asked for our drink orders. Our drinks came out promptly and our server came and asked us if we would like a few more minutes. We were mid response when she spoke over us acknowledging our need for more time and left us to our decision. Once we’d figured out what we were eating, we waited. And waited… And waited. Now to be fair, she appeared to be the only server for something like six or seven tables. She also rarely stood around jawjacking with fellow coworkers. So I acknowledge that. We ordered some bread as an appetizer and had no idea it was the size of Texas… Might be a good idea to put down how many people it’s meant to feed. Once the main dish came out the pizza was alright. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either… Not $ 56 great. All in all we won’t be going back to Skipolini’s and we’ll find another pasta/pizza fix.

I’ve ordered in from Skipolini’s before using Grub Hub and finally ate there in person. Nice ambiance, though we did have to wait a minute for someone to come seat us. They have a great menu and selection, with a little something for everyone. Prices are reasonable as well for the portion size, as I can usually only eat half of my meal at a time. Our server was very friendly and our food came out fast.

Long awaited to come here to try out their famous«Prego Pizza» because my friends who were pregnant ordered it and I wanted to try it myself, and no you don’t have to be pregnant to order this pizza, there is a story behind it on their website you can read. Location: The location is in a rocklin shopping area with plenty of parking. The building is easy to spot and very spacious and perfectly decorated giving a very family-style setting. I love how the tables are not uniform and there are various seating arrangements. Prego Pizza: OMG this pizza was really good! The seasonings were just the perfect mixture and the toppings were endless but it all was good, just even making this review my mouth is watering. Medium was more than enough for me and my friends to have at least 2 slices each, there was a total of 4 of us. I came for the pizza but the other three were crazy to get something else, of course i had bites out of all of them and they were delicious. Service was a bit slow, but that was because were put in a booth that was secluded from everyone else which was okay we had two babies with us too, :) I would go here again if i was just craving the pizza because i can’t stop thinking of it :)

Great quality food at reasonable prices. This place is always a good experience. It is the best local Italian restaurant in Rocklin. The chicken parmesean, Italian wedding soup, house salad, and lasagna are some of the best dishes. Give it a try!

Just moved to the area and our Facebook friend posted about how Skipolini’s is his favorite pizza. My husband and I said to each other, «Don’t we live near a Skipolini’s?» So we had to check this place out! Got a medium Prego pizza(their speciality it seems?) to go. Their medium is equivalent to other establishment’s large size so it was plenty. It wasn’t cheap. I think we paid about $ 27 – 28 for the pizza but wow it was super heavy(weight-wise). First time we tried it, we were like, «Wow, this is really good!» Very flavorful with lots of herbs and spices. Lots of garlic too. Their menu has a lot of other great dishes that we look forward to trying. Friendly staff, convenient parking.

Today I was ordering takeout for the third time in three weeks because my kids love the pizza here. The last two orders have not gone well. The first order, i^told would be ready in 20 minutes, and I waited with my children over 45 minutes. The last order, both pizza were made incorrectly. Today, I started by requesting the manager I calmly explained my challenges, which were met with excuses. I then ordered my pizza through him. I articles to find one of my pizza made incorrectly again. He needed to ask if I wanted it made again, which I did. This required a wait of 20 minutes. I needed to request the other pizza Nobel made again so I could have two fresh pizza for dinner. Amazingly, he had the nerve to ask if I wanted to prepay for my order. I have yet to be offered any consideration for the issues, or the wait. When my pizza were finally brought out, by a sacrificial waitress, I was asked to pay full price and I asked for a discount. The manager appeared and reminded me that he had made a fresh second pizza for me at my request so I could have two hot pizzas to take home with me. Fortunately, a second more seasoned manager stepped in and saved true first from himself and comped a pizza and apologized for my difficulties. I do enjoy the restaurant and my kids love it. But this last three sets of experiences ended in a truly epic fail I will go back, and I will update my takeout experience based on the second managers promises!

My parents love this place and they take us here when my wife and I are in town. I usually have some kind of pasta and it’s always good. This last time I had the lasagna and it was fabulous. Cheesy, savory, and full of meat. Plus the serving was so plentiful that I had enough for a whole second meal after taking my leftovers home. That’s a great deal. My wife got a custom built pizza with several toppings and she absolutely loved it. The service is always friendly though sometimes it can be a bit slow, perhaps the waiters are over-worked. Either way, it’s a great choice for Italian in Rocklin.

I only get pizza from here so I can’t comment on the rest of the menu but I’ve never been disappointed. Sauce is flavorful, cheese is a perfect blend and the crust has just the right level of doughiness. A tad pricey for the sizes but definitely in my top two pizza places for north Rocklin/Roseville so far.

Pizza was ok, but their salads are the worst. They charge you almost $ 12 for a small plates of lettuce and the chicken was stale. Never again.

Love the prego pizza !! Someone brought it into work and I’ve been craving it ever since. They have heavy toppings on the pizza so it’s loaded!!! Everything tastes incredibly fresh. Crust is very thin and sauce is very flavorful. The mistake I made was I ordered it with the lactose free cheese. That stuff tasted like goo. I had to scrape it off. But the pizza was still delicious. Next time either light or no cheese(since I can’t do dairy). Price for small pizza was a little higher than I thought was reasonable at $ 16 esp for lunch. You can get a slice for $ 4 but they should have lunch size pizzas. I believe the lunch slice was limited to pizza of the day. Restaurant looks like Carino’s on inside. It probably is. Bar area with lots of TVs. I was very cold(temperature) in the restaurant. Service is good. Food wait is a little longer than most lunch places are normally a little faster. Food does come to you hot out of oven.

Yummy! Ordered the Prego Pizza and it had great flavors! Two slices fill you up! It should since its a $ 31 pizza. There were so many toppings and I was pleased with all them. Also had their house salad and we really liked their dressing. Good service. Like that their booths have tables that are adjustable. I am 9mos pregnant and counting so the belly needs that additional space while the butt needs the cushioning of the booth. Well done!

We have driven past this place many many times, today I talked him into trying something different other then another Mexican chain. He got the lunch special Monster slice with garlic bread, salad and a cookie. Garlic bread was somewhat bland and salad had a bit to much dressing. Pizza I was told was alright. Now I bet your wondering why I gave it a 4 star rating, 2words Cajun pasta! It was perfect! Spicy with sausage and chicken and the Penni was perfectly cooked. Normally I don’t order pastas dishes at restaurants because they tend to over cook the pasta even at Italian places. Not so here.

Also was a good experience here. Had the pizza lunch special(total: $ 9.62) Pizza was bbq chicken, yum. For those who aren’t familiar, it comes with 1 slice, caesar salad, garlic bread(3 mini pieces) and a cookie. I love their lunch specials. great price. Thanks!

Had dinner at Skipolini’s last night before our movie. We told our waitress we had a movie to go see in less than an hour. She was great got our drinks fast, meal out as fast as they could. Our bill was given to us with out asking or waiting for it. Food came out very hot! Cheesey bread was very good. The roll our food came with was very yummy and soft. We have been here before with family just usually order the pizza also very good. This time we wanted something different.

When it comes to the best pizza in Rocklin, I vote for Big Daddy’s. My hopes were way too high and, unfortunately, I was not impressed. When I lived in the Bay Area, my wife and I went to the one in the East Bay to get the«preggo pizza» — not only did it work, but the pizza was delicious. I can’t say the same this time around. We once against ordered the preggo pizza. It was soggy as hell. They put on TONS of toppings — which would normally be good… except I couldn’t get past my soggy crust. It was like eating something that had been sitting in water. The service was actually really good — so I give them 2 stars for that! The pizza was prepared quickly and is definitely a pizza that they don’t skimp on… which is good, because they are expensive. But I think with the preggo pizza, they need to be careful about the amount of raw veggies on the pizza and figure out a way to keep the pizza delicious.

Wow! What a great place for some great Italian food. Ive dined here on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed by the quality of the food or the service. Skipolini’s is a very busy place, so the wait is always around thirty minuets. This just proves how great of food they serve. The servers are very nice have helpful. They have the ability to explain the menu in great detail and also allow guest to modify their dishes if needed. I always order the meatball sandwich, and it taste great! The only reason why this is not a five star review, is because of cleanliness. Upon arrival, I always see papers, food, and other garbage on the ground. However, the booths are clean. The bathrooms are decent as well. Overall, a great all around experience! I suggest stopping by and trying out some great italian food!

What’s not to love about Skip’s? I cannot believe I have driven past it so many times and never stopped! Have now gone in twice in the last two weeks! First visit, had the Lasagna and hubby had a combo pizza. Both times the food was terrific and the service great. We also got some gelato to go and sat outside and enjoyed the pretty night. Second visit, I had the Eggplant Parmesan and hubby again got the combo pizza. The eggplant was slightly undercooked in a few spots, but still very edible, really it wasn’t bad at all, I just didn’t eat those spots. Our server seemed ‘off’ and didn’t pay us much attention. As it was a Wednesday nite and by his own admission it was ‘slow’, I just felt he could’ve come back more often to check on us and see if we needed drink refills. Instead, he seemed to be more interested in hanging out at the back talking to the cooks. The atmosphere is very family friendly and it was nice to see so many family’s out enjoying themselves with their well behaved children. All in all, the pro’s outweighed the con’s and I wouldn’t hesitate to patronize Skip’s.

Tried this out two weekends ago with some friends. I was craving chicken parmigiana and they had it. My husband got a meatball sandwich and peach italian soda. Our friends got a large specialty pizza for $ 33! I did not try the pizza but found that to be awfully expensive that did not look all that appetizing. My chicken was overcooked and burnt on the edges. Pasta was dry and portion was small. The meatball tasted odd like sausages. In the end our ticket averaged to $ 25 per person for lunch which was too pricey for what we got. Service started out well but dwindled towards the end. Waited so long for getting our bill paid that I had to hold it up in the air to get someones attention. I would go again only if someone else wanted to go but defintely would not be my choice. Food is mediocre for too much money.
